just enjoyed a marvelous dinner at parkside. great selection! the rabbit is wonderful and the selection ofoystersoutstanding. great experience and great moderately priced wines by the glass. should be on your list to try!!

my favorite in austin. potato gnocchi 5/5 (very unusual but awesome)
oyster platter 5/5 (bestoystersin texas)
scallops and salsify 4/5
marrow bones 5/5 (always good)
sweetbreads 5/5 (better than most)
crab fritters 4/5
various cocktails 4/5 (very good but i have had better)

parkside is my favorite restaurant in austin due to it's upscale food but laid back atmosphere. manager kevin pearce will do everything he can to insure you are happy with your experience. next time i'm in austin i will be trying more of the menu.

i was at the bar and i saw the lady who makes the tartare and shuckoystersput a spoon in her mouth then make food with it.i don't know about you but that is nasty.

mmmm grand platter. loved it, loved our server. we got the grand platter which was awesome because i loveoystersand the selection they gave us from the raw bar only got better.

next was the salmon which was also great but in all honesty, after the grand platter my tastebuds were so happy nothing could compare.

also, the squash just tastes like bacon...eh.

but, still loved it. would definitely recommend going there.

favorite happy hour / dinner spot down town. i have never had a bad experience here. other than running out or not having gulf coastoystersbefore i could get my hands on some, they are generally well stocked, and i've never had bad service. their 3 shot glasses of fresh fish included with the large oyster platter are excellent.oystersare phenominal. the burger is a very unique take on a typically mundane classic, although the fries might be a touch salty. their garlic shrimp appetizer is excellent. i will continue to return here after several years of dining experience, because it remains one of the coolest spots down town for happy hour and dining.

incredible meal each time we come! we just enjoyed half-priceoystersand half-price sparkling wine! gotta love wednesdays! the food is tasty and always melts in your mouth. try the aeoli sauce with the fries and the donuts for dessert!

my favorite- late night dining, wonderful food!. i love parkside! i have never had to wait for a seat and the service is always been prompt and polite. parkside has the best selection of rawoystersi have yet to see elsewhere iin austin, and the waitstaff can recommend to your tastes whether you prefer salty, briny, creamy, large or small. i highly recommend the raw bar which changes daily, but they always seem to have my favorite- the amberjack, which comes with jalepenos and tangerine. the dining is five-star but don't feel like you need to dress up. the atmosphere at parkside is understated and comfortable. i love parkside, i just wish it was still open til 3 am!!
