my favorite in austin. potato gnocchi 5/5 (very unusual but awesome)
oyster platter 5/5 (best oysters in texas)
scallops and salsify 4/5
marrow bones 5/5 (always good)
sweetbreads 5/5 (better than most)
crab fritters 4/5
various cocktails 4/5 (very good but i have had better)
atmosphere 5/5

parkside is my favorite restaurant in austin due to it's upscale food but laid back atmosphere. manager kevin pearce will do everything he can to insure you arehappywith your experience. next time i'm in austin i will be trying more of the menu.

came here during theirhappyhour. i heard they had a great burger. when my burger arrived i was a little disappointed... it was smaller than what i'm used to. the cocktail drink i tried was really good though! cool little place to check out.

goodhappyhour food. the wife really dug the oyster platter, which is chef's choice. can't beat half price steak and fries. a little trendy for my taste.

mmmm grand platter. loved it, loved our server. we got the grand platter which was awesome because i love oysters and the selection they gave us from the raw bar only got better.

next was the salmon which was also great but in all honesty, after the grand platter my tastebuds were sohappynothing could compare.

also, the squash just tastes like bacon...eh.

but, still loved it. would definitely recommend going there.

favoritehappyhour / dinner spot down town. i have never had a bad experience here. other than running out or not having gulf coast oysters before i could get my hands on some, they are generally well stocked, and i've never had bad service. their 3 shot glasses of fresh fish included with the large oyster platter are excellent. oysters are phenominal. the burger is a very unique take on a typically mundane classic, although the fries might be a touch salty. their garlic shrimp appetizer is excellent. i will continue to return here after several years of dining experience, because it remains one of the coolest spots down town forhappyhour and dining.

a shamefully long time ago now, we were invited to a food bloggerhappyhour at parkside. it's shameful in one respect because i had every intention of reviewing it and it's now more than two months later. it's downright unforgivable in another respect -
