parasol's bar & restaurant

completely amazing. sat and talked with the owners and some employees, they couldn't have been nicer to us. i would have never ordered a roast beef po boy, but it was recommended by the owner so i had to try it. so amazing. boyfriend got firecracker shrimp po boy and it was absolutely perfect. love this place so much!!!!!

this was my first true new orleans experience with a poboy! we had fried catfish, shrimp and buffalo chicken. and a cold barq's. our first meal of that visit to new orleans. bread was very fresh, and seafood was crisp and delicious. it’s time to make a return trip to parasols!

food was awesome. had the pulled pork with the coleslaw on top. fabulous! service was great and the bartender and locals were fun!

can't wait to visit again. great people working here, and the food is as good as it gets. we got firecracker shrimp po-boys, with boudin balls on the side. i really can't explain to you how good it was. this tops the list of restaurants i visited while in nola.

the ole' irish channel. use to frequent the original parasol's in the 70's. when visiting during the jazz fest weekend my brother re-introduced me to the new parasol's and it was great - especially the bbq shrimp!

waited for tacos for over 45 min when the hipster behind the counter told me it would only be 15 minutes. i had my reservations about ever going to parasols again, this experience made me never want to come to this joke of the irish channel again! don't waist your time on this terrible bar!

look we tried a lot of stuff and here's what to do. go with at least 3 people, preferably 4-5. get a large firecracker shrimp po boy, a gravy fries, and throw in an irish sundae for fun (potato salad, gravy, and 1k island dressing). the gravy has tons of roast beef in it. it's better in the gravy than on the sandwiches because the gravy roast beef is drippings and ends, whereas the roast beef style here is over-cooked and kinda tough for my tastes.

the bread they use for the po boys is a delicious garlic bread, and the firecracker shrimp is the best breaded shrimp i've ever had. it made the best po boy any of my friends have ever had.

just saw y'all on diners drive ins and dive!!!! y'all rock!!! gals to see the representation on my favorite show!!! can't wait to come try some good food!!!!

this is my favorite place to eat in town! i find they have the best roast beef and gravy in the city. whether you want it on a po boy or fries (mmmmm the debris), it is ridiculously tasty. not in the mood for beef, get the firecracker shrimp po boy. great prices as well.

roast beef poboy (small). one of the best rb poboys you'll ever eat in this town. the portions are generous and fresh. prices are great. don't miss out!

we went back to parasol's bar and restaurant and we had to get the roast beef po boy again. and we had to get the large again. it's that good and it's a great value.

ummm it's okay. but not deserving of this high of a rating. there's so many better places to eat in nola...

change of heart. i have been coming here for years. i have been telling people that this place has some of best poboys in the city. i can honestly say that i will never come again. the worst service on earth is happening here, and the food aint that great either. the last 4 times my girlfriend and i came here my order was wrong, or was never cooked after a hour. and when i did get it by some strange miracle it was cold, greasy, and overall un-edible . i live in the irish channel and will do what i did last night. take a ride to mid city and go to park way. they don't have 5 kids leaning on counters putting out a poboy every 30 minute and not giving a crap about anything working there. sorry parasoles. you have lost another faithful customer. rip

awful. we are local and dined on feb 28. we had friends in town from norway and czech republic and wanted to bring them to a real new orleans dive. the experience was horrible. took almost 2 hours to eat. we had 8 of us and were served individually, with one sandwich being delivered every 15 minutes. muffaletta was terrible. burnt ham and almost no olive salad. grilled chicken sandwich was cold. it was an embarrassing experience and probable the worst meal i have had in new orleans in my 47 years here.
