while i'm always on the quest for great food, pizza always has a very special place in my heart. papa angelo's uses a very simple method for their business, cut the crap and just make great pizza!

these guys are from long island, so we share a similar views on pizza, and conversation. if you tell papa you like his pizza don't be surprised if he snaps back saying "whaddo i care!?" (although he's really a sweet old man). this is the type of place where you don't just order a pie, but you get to know the family as well.

the pizza ranks about 7-7.5 out of 10. for me this is a fairly high rating, similar to what i would give most ny pizzeria's i grew up with (this is a good thing). one of the great things about papa's is you can always expect to get the same great pizza everytimeyou come in. i've never had a pizza at papa angelo's that didn't taste as good as the lasttimei visted.

this level of consistency, plus their great neighborhood location (right next to our church) allows me to have great ny pizza anytime i want. in oklahoma you can't ask for much better than that!!

ordered a pizza for pickup, service was very good but the pizza was below average at best. disappointed in the dough, texture was more like a tough bread instead of ny style. seemed like it had been made earlier and sat out for a while. maybe an off night and based on most reviews will give it one more chance, thistimewe’ll try ordering in.

was not very impressed. my bro thought it looked like a "tony's" frozen pizza with all the olives on it . we ordered the empire supreme there was way too much topping in it. made the crust soggy. where was the sauce?? i sure didn't taste any. maybe i'll try just a 1 topping nexttimejust to give them another chance. have to give the a 2 star rating until next time

joke. i was born and raised in the northeast. spenttimein ny, nj, nh, ct, ri and this isnt anything like a true italian pizzeria from back east. im italian, been cooking italian food since i was 8 and i could make a better pizza in half thetimeat half the cost from a generic house oven. their dough is ok, but not as thin as it should be and not correctly cooked. their crust isnt good and their sauce...joke. ive only been there twice, firsttimethey had almost no sauce on the pie....secondtimei went there i asked for extra sauce, the guy made a sarcastic comment to the likes of, do you want just all sauce or something to that nature...until you buy my pie for me...make it how i want it. thanks. btw, i dont go back cause i make my own. i do however go to falcones when i dont have thetimenor will to make one myself, its better.

won't deliver unless your a home owner.. just moved to the area. i was told to check out papa angelo's. firsttimei called "we don't deliver to apartments"! as if i am a second class citizen. i am in a very nice remodeled apartment and found it very offensive. i am also not second class, i am a working middle class veteran of the military. if i am not worth your business, your not worth my time, money, and patronage. this place is not worth yourtimeor business.

absolutely the best. i drive 20 minutes just to get their pizza. it's absolutely the best in okc. i'm disappointed everytimei go somewhere else. it's just not worth it to eat pizza unless your getting it from papa angelo's!

great stuff. we have only recently found papa angelo's while browsing around the streets of bethany. we love the location, in a quiet old fashioned area that is reminesent of an oldertimewhen it was safe to walk around in a downtown area. bethany maintains that feature! the pizza's are magnificent. large and well filled with appropriate toppings per capita. (lol) the staff seem to be family ( i assume) and are always friendly and promt for service. also had, on one occasion, the spaghetti and it was also very good. i was disappointed only once, when i ordered the eggplant parmesean and it was not available, but that can be overlooked once or twice. i highly recommend trying papa angelo's for great pizza.

wow!. this is the secondtimei have had a pizza here and it is even better than the first time. i love the texture and crispness of the crust and the delicious garlic and parmesian flavor of the cheese. fantastic! will be back again!

finally!. i was a firsttimecustomer tonight. i picked up a pizza and garlic knots to go. i think i'm in love with this place. i cant stop thinking about those delicious knots and the fantastic pizza. it's greasy, but that's what i got for ordering pepperoni. and it wont stop me in the future either. i have found a favorite pizza joint!

papa angelo's is the best pizza in okc bar none!. don't be fooled by the big fat jerk who claims he has the only ny pizza in okc. papa angelo's is the best pizza i have ever had in my life. the meatball pizza is my favorite. the entire staff is great! they knew the regulars by name, the nexttimei am in the area, i will definitely be stopping by! you will not be disappointed!
