oyster bar

great views. nice spot out of the southerly wind and overlooking the boats and harbour area, seating available inside and out, very casual with a dog tied up on the corner of the eating area (which didn't bother us). we went there for lunch. food not so flash, drinks were nice and cold:), staff were friendly but a bit front bar material ie takes my straw out of my glass at the table then puts it into my new drink. meals came out all at once after i asked for theoystersto come first, i would go back for the view but i wouldn't eat. such a shame it could of been a lot better.

we tried a selection of oysters, chorizo with feta and olives, and some sweet potato wedges, theoysterswere pretty tasty but the best flavour was kilpatrick. the wedges were crunchy and super tasty. the chorizo and feta was okay but i’ve had better.

nice waterfront views.oysterswere as fresh as they can be - especially loved the thai. grazing plate was so-so. pavlova can be easily forgotten.

we used to drive down to mandurah once a week, from the northern suburbs of perth, to sit on the jetty and demolish 7 or 8 dozen oysters.

recently we found that all theoystershave broken shell through them. when we complained to the staff (lady with an english accent) she said " yeah i know, everyone has been saying that"

there was no offer of a replacement or any sort of solution.

we normally spend $400 - $500 a week here, but won't return, there is no point when you can't eat the only product they are known for.

called in foroystersafter we arrived from mr. very fresh oysters. like most of wa you need to go up to bar to order- we finally are getting it that table service is only in restaurants. we also had gf calamari- very nice as well. ambience on the water is no doubt very positive as well.

we came here foroystersand only the oysters..we ordered 2 dozenoysterswith an array of condiments and you can taste the freshness along with the size ofoysterswas exceptional..reasonably priced but i'd only go foroystersas its the best place in mandurah

we had drinks ,oystersand the flatbread . food was beautiful and service was prompt and good . the place was very busy so we had to wait for a table but not for long . the live music was great . beautiful views and great atmosphere :)

bloody mary oyster shots were great! couldn't help but feel this is a venue with a mixed up identity. is it a sports bar or a lounge bar? who is the target demographic? hipsters or people who need hip replacements? someone put on a st germaine cd please and kill the lights! a little bar with plenty of potential. i'll be back for theoystersif not the vibe.

hubby and i really enjoyed it here. small comfortable place with nice view, and great staff and food. it was a coolish night but with the heaters it was really comfortable. they also had the cricket on which pleased the hubby. we started with a dozen of thai and naturaloystersand they were really nice and fresh (good time of year for them though). had a hearty dinner at the the grill next door then came back for the caviar, and thaioystersagain- thai especially recommended if you like coriander, mint lime etc. also had a really nice evans and tate chardonnay. if you see this place and even have a small appetite, give it a go!

beautiful :). great food , we ate here tonight , nice and relaxing location , great view , service top notch very polite , friendly , happy , nice people . we ordered soft shell crab with asian salad($20) and 6oysterswith smoked salmon and sour cream($17) , firstly the crab was beautifully cooked and well presented , came out nice and hot straight from the kitchen , very tasty and very enjoyable , the asian salad was delicious and freshly made to order . theoysterswith smoke salmon and sour cream were beyond exceptation and just devine , we had to order another doz , ate them just as beautiful , had to order another dozen !! wow they were the bestoysterswe've had in years , this place is a winner :) enjoy :)

stopped in for an hour for a couple of drinks & a dozen oysters.oysterswere amazing!! we had a mixture of kilpatrick, spinach mornay, champagne cream & chilli & cheese.
great location, food & place for a quiet drink.

grilled not natural!!!. my girlfriend and i bought 3 plates of errol flynnoysters(2 grilled and 1 natural). the grilledoysterswere absolutely delicious, the best every especially the spinach mornay. the natural ones however needed lots of work as they were barely stomachable and this is coming from someone who has readily eaten frog, dog and jelly fish. do not buy the naturaloystershere!!!

good!. we dropped in for sundowners on a wednesday late afternoon and managed to fill in a couple of lovely hours at the oyster bar in mandurah.
this place is pretty casual and doesn’t pretend to be otherwise. you place your orders at the counter and the waitstaff bring your food to you. you carry your own drinks. the furnishings are minimal, adequate and functional – ok for the general feel of the place. but you’re looking out onto the most gorgeous seascape so what goes on behind you doesn’t really matter that much.
the staff are friendly and responsive but i did find it strange that they don’t know where theiroysterscome from. the lovely bargirlie “thinks” they might be from coffin bay, or somewhere in south australia. she did assure me that they are fresh daily and shucked in fremantle. the drinks list is adequate and big willie was more than happy with the array of beers on offer – and all at a reasonable price.
we settle for the mixed dozenoysters- three each of au natural, kilpatrick, darleyfella (spinach mornay sort of thingie) and chilli and cheese.
personally, i would just have a dozen au natural, and the two i managed to get were fresh and flavoursome. it’s hard to tell what an oyster is like once you put toppings on them and then bake them, but these were not bad. the kilpatrick had an over abundance of worcester sauce and the “bacon” was small chunks – not thin and crispy as i would like. but big w really liked them. he did get a chewy one though but that tends to happen if you mess around and cook oysters.
might go back for the happy hour on friday evening and they have live music as well. while we were there we listened to an old beatles cd – it was ok, but it didn’t add anything to the feel of the place. i would have liked some chill out/lounge style music – cafe del mar mode.
all in all a lovely way to spend a couple of hours watching the sun go down with a chilled glass in hand. and the bonus - on wednesday evenings, there is a 30% discount off the entire bill! score!

not an oyster bar. went there xmas eve with some friends for a few drinks and oysters, well theoystersweren't at all good,we ordered kilpatrick as there always a fav but they were terrible ,with big square chunks of what looked like processed ham not bacon and not grilled i think they were microwaved, then there was a moray with spinach , nice idea but the oyster was so small you had to dig deep to find it. the natural and thai were nice because they didn't have to do anything with those except pour a dressing over the thai ones, but they were also very small, and as for the other tappers we ordered everything came out of a deep fryer. very nice venue and view staff were also great so maybe they should put a chef in there.

great location, best oysters, good value bar. we have enjoyed a few visits to oyster bar now and have enjoyed every one. theiroystersnatural are superb and the location is just magic. it's also great to catch some live music.
with friendly attentive service and a reasonably priced menu and wine list (especially good value during happy hours!) this place ticks all the boxes for us. our new favourite!
