oyster bar

fantastic place. please ignore mark's review - april 2013. iwas there that night and mark and his girlfriend were absolutlely drunk, caused huge problemas and were quite rightly asked to leave, to the huge relief of evryone else there. the oyster bar staff dealt with a tricky situation withgreattact and style. as for mark not coming back........all the locals hope that's true.
the oyster bar is a terrific place. the food is only 'ok' but the beer is excellent, the wine probably the best value in manduarh and the service excellent. i would reccomend the oyster bar to any visitors to mandurah.

went to the mandurah oyster bar on a wednesday night to get the discount food. had the mixed (errol flynn)
tray of kilpatrick, thai and caviar, followed up with crumbed haloumi and a hummus dip. all delivergreatflavour and were presented and delivered rapidly to our table. not really a complaint (just a fact of life) but the place got really noisy quite early. hope to be back soon.

went for lunch at the oyster bar today, a smallish compact restaurant with agreatlocation overlooking the water. firstly there is no waiter service for ordering (really at these prices), one has to 'pub it' and order the drinks and food at the counter, and come back with one of those numbers on a stand. we ordered two salads from the specials menu, one salad came out first by 5-8 minutes,  obviously kitchen cannot coordinate the prep and delivery of 2 salads simultaneously. mine was so so, it amounted to two slices of smoked salmon  (bloodline included), divided on four slices of toasted baguette, on which was some cream cheese, with a garnish of chives....$16.  is that value...would or could you pay that in melbourne.

we had drinks , oysters and the flatbread . food was beautiful and service was prompt and good . the place was very busy so we had to wait for a table but not for long . the live music wasgreat. beautiful views andgreatatmosphere :)

hubby and i really enjoyed it here. small comfortable place with nice view, andgreatstaff and food. it was a coolish night but with the heaters it was really comfortable. they also had the cricket on which pleased the hubby. we started with a dozen of thai and natural oysters and they were really nice and fresh (good time of year for them though). had a hearty dinner at the the grill next door then came back for the caviar, and thai oysters again- thai especially recommended if you like coriander, mint lime etc. also had a really nice evans and tate chardonnay. if you see this place and even have a small appetite, give it a go!

beautiful :).greatfood , we ate here tonight , nice and relaxing location ,greatview , service top notch very polite , friendly , happy , nice people . we ordered soft shell crab with asian salad($20) and 6 oysters with smoked salmon and sour cream($17) , firstly the crab was beautifully cooked and well presented , came out nice and hot straight from the kitchen , very tasty and very enjoyable , the asian salad was delicious and freshly made to order . the oysters with smoke salmon and sour cream were beyond exceptation and just devine , we had to order another doz , ate them just as beautiful , had to order another dozen !! wow they were the best oysters we've had in years , this place is a winner :) enjoy :)

best restaurant in mandurah by far!! wonderful, friendly and helpful staff, awesome location,greatdecor, excellent prices and the food was lovely!!greatsetting on the water, solo singer,greattunes,greatvibe. we had such agreatnight. highly recommended!!

not an oyster bar. went there xmas eve with some friends for a few drinks and oysters, well the oysters weren't at all good,we ordered kilpatrick as there always a fav but they were terrible ,with big square chunks of what looked like processed ham not bacon and not grilled i think they were microwaved, then there was a moray with spinach , nice idea but the oyster was so small you had to dig deep to find it. the natural and thai were nice because they didn't have to do anything with those except pour a dressing over the thai ones, but they were also very small, and as for the other tappers we ordered everything came out of a deep fryer. very nice venue and view staff were alsogreatso maybe they should put a chef in there.

great location, best oysters, good value bar. we have enjoyed a few visits to oyster bar now and have enjoyed every one. their oysters natural are superb and the location is just magic. it's alsogreatto catch some live music.
with friendly attentive service and a reasonably priced menu and wine list (especially good value during happy hours!) this place ticks all the boxes for us. our new favourite!

relaxing drinks and nibbles. such agreatplace to go on a warm afternoon to relax with a bottle or two of wine and have somegreatnibbles. panko prawns, prawn balls with salsa inside nad chili lime oysters were all great. could have stayed there all afternoon eating and drinking. the deck is very shady, which will begreaton a really hot day. love waching all the boats go by and the place was quite busy so had a nice vibe to it.

great little bar withgreatviews over the water. small wine selection but the ones i have tried are superb. excellent nibbles to accompany the drinks. i have always enjoyed brilliant service without it being intrusive. i have made it one of my regular haunts.

great location - friendly staff. i ate at the oyster bar on saturday evening with a group of friends. the service was quick and friendly, the wine list although not huge had somegreatwines at very reasonable prices. loved the ice and beer fountain behind the bar - very unusual.
we had oysters kilpatrick (great) oysters with caviar and sour cream - could have done with a little more caviar. we also had smoked salmon (came with some fantastic brown bread), fries and a plate of olivesand chorizo. all well priced and very enjoyable. the bar is in agreatlocation and once all the other tenancies have been filled it will be a superb little restaurant strip. the only downside to the evening was a bogan family of morons who when asked politely to keep the noise down by the owner (or manager) responded with bad language and and a tantrum.greatexample to set your kids walking out of the restaurant with a plate of food!! good on the owner though, he controlled the situation very well!
