great views. nice spot out of the southerly wind and overlooking the boats and harbour area, seating available inside and out, very casual with a dog tied up on the corner of the eating area (which didn't bother us). we went there for lunch. food not so flash, drinks were nice and cold:), staff were friendly but a bit frontbarmaterial ie takes my straw out of my glass at the table then puts it into my new drink. meals came out all at once after i asked for the oysters to come first, i would go back for the view but i wouldn't eat. such a shame it could of been a lot better.

fantastic place. please ignore mark's review - april 2013. iwas there that night and mark and his girlfriend were absolutlely drunk, caused huge problemas and were quite rightly asked to leave, to the huge relief of evryone else there. the oysterbarstaff dealt with a tricky situation with great tact and style. as for mark not coming back........all the locals hope that's true.
the oysterbaris a terrific place. the food is only 'ok' but the beer is excellent, the wine probably the best value in manduarh and the service excellent. i would reccomend the oysterbarto any visitors to mandurah.

went to the mandurah oysterbaron a wednesday night to get the discount food. had the mixed (errol flynn)
tray of kilpatrick, thai and caviar, followed up with crumbed haloumi and a hummus dip. all deliver great flavour and were presented and delivered rapidly to our table. not really a complaint (just a fact of life) but the place got really noisy quite early. hope to be back soon.

went for lunch at the oysterbartoday, a smallish compact restaurant with a great location overlooking the water. firstly there is no waiter service for ordering (really at these prices), one has to 'pub it' and order the drinks and food at the counter, and come back with one of those numbers on a stand. we ordered two salads from the specials menu, one salad came out first by 5-8 minutes,  obviously kitchen cannot coordinate the prep and delivery of 2 salads simultaneously. mine was so so, it amounted to two slices of smoked salmon  (bloodline included), divided on four slices of toasted baguette, on which was some cream cheese, with a garnish of chives....$16.  is that value...would or could you pay that in melbourne.

after looking around the net on the best eats in mandurah, oysterbarpopped up and this was the first one on my list to visit. providing it's a monday night, quite. few people were outside enjoying the scenic dinner. service was efficient and genuine considering the skeleton staff. seems like the staff are actually happy to be there. the food came out pretty quickly and it did not fail our tastebuds. my girls said they definitely enjoyed the squid. i will drive to go to this oysterbarfrom perth after the holidays as it was a really enjoyable experience

bloody mary oyster shots were great! couldn't help but feel this is a venue with a mixed up identity. is it a sportsbaror a lounge bar? who is the target demographic? hipsters or people who need hip replacements? someone put on a st germaine cd please and kill the lights! a littlebarwith plenty of potential. i'll be back for the oysters if not the vibe.

we choose the oysterbarfor valentines day. ordered. fish and chips for me. dozen oyster and greek salad. glass of pepsi and sparkling wine. $84. dinner arrived. greek salad with no feta or olives. it was in fact very much like a packet of pew packed salad from coles with some dressing on top. oyster were ordered gluten free. they came out natural with a piece of smoked salmon on top. however they were warm and not at all well presented. mr fish and chips was very average with shoestring fries and a small piece of fish. batter was not one to go back for. me side salad looked exactly like the greek salad. the place was busy with couple music ok. however if you want to eat nice oyster i would defiantly not recommend thisbarcome restaurant.

disappointed. we have dined at oysterbarregularly and normally are quite happy with the food. however, when its wrong, its very wrong!! we have had under cooked calamari and some disappointing oysters. but, we ordered seafood chowder advertised as fresh local produce. there was 1 prawn, straight from a can by the size of it, tiny bits of fish, a few bits of chopped vegetables and the rest was liquid, akin to camp bells canned cream soup. so disappointing!!! how can they serve this to tourists?? service is always great, view is perfect, but the food had certainly dropped in the past months. i won't even start on the chorizo plate. i used to look forward to dining at oyster bar, but it certainly isn't top of our list anymore, nowhere near it!

good!. we dropped in for sundowners on a wednesday late afternoon and managed to fill in a couple of lovely hours at the oysterbarin mandurah.
this place is pretty casual and doesn’t pretend to be otherwise. you place your orders at the counter and the waitstaff bring your food to you. you carry your own drinks. the furnishings are minimal, adequate and functional – ok for the general feel of the place. but you’re looking out onto the most gorgeous seascape so what goes on behind you doesn’t really matter that much.
the staff are friendly and responsive but i did find it strange that they don’t know where their oysters come from. the lovely bargirlie “thinks” they might be from coffin bay, or somewhere in south australia. she did assure me that they are fresh daily and shucked in fremantle. the drinks list is adequate and big willie was more than happy with the array of beers on offer – and all at a reasonable price.
we settle for the mixed dozen oysters - three each of au natural, kilpatrick, darleyfella (spinach mornay sort of thingie) and chilli and cheese.
personally, i would just have a dozen au natural, and the two i managed to get were fresh and flavoursome. it’s hard to tell what an oyster is like once you put toppings on them and then bake them, but these were not bad. the kilpatrick had an over abundance of worcester sauce and the “bacon” was small chunks – not thin and crispy as i would like. but big w really liked them. he did get a chewy one though but that tends to happen if you mess around and cook oysters.
might go back for the happy hour on friday evening and they have live music as well. while we were there we listened to an old beatles cd – it was ok, but it didn’t add anything to the feel of the place. i would have liked some chill out/lounge style music – cafe del mar mode.
all in all a lovely way to spend a couple of hours watching the sun go down with a chilled glass in hand. and the bonus - on wednesday evenings, there is a 30% discount off the entire bill! score!
food: 6.5/10
drinks: 8/10
value: 8/10
ambience: 6/10 (apart from the view which is 10/10)
service: 7/10

great location, best oysters, good value bar. we have enjoyed a few visits to oysterbarnow and have enjoyed every one. their oysters natural are superb and the location is just magic. it's also great to catch some live music.
with friendly attentive service and a reasonably priced menu and wine list (especially good value during happy hours!) this place ticks all the boxes for us. our new favourite!

fantastic food, ice cold beer! i am so pleased i found this little number en route to another establishment. the staff were very friendly and didn't hover, the drinks were served ice cold, and the tapas style menu had the mouth watering instantly. i enjoyed the mixed dozen oysters that tasted fresh and were juicy n full. the chorizo plate had to be the tastiest i've ever tried. all this with a beautifully view of the marina, you must visit the oysterbarnow!!
