original pancake house

outstanding service. minnesota nice from the receptionist thru the server. food hot and tasty. a no hassle experience.

food was awesome but service was very average. almost the same price as ihop but food was wayy better.

too greasy. i went here for the first time last week with a friend. it was packed at noon , and the server we had was overwelmed with customers , i counted at least 17 at one point in her station. i ordered the buttered onion hash browns with basted eggs and pancakes. my friend ordered plain crepes with lemon and powder sugar and the hash browns . our order came out and my eggs were not basted but more liked cooked over easy cause there was oil all over them , this is not basted ! the puffed hash browns were swimming in butter and bland raw inside cause the onion wasnt even cooked thru. the pancakes were good but not great. now my friends crepes were wonderful and her hash browns were nice and crispy i should have sent mine back , but figured it would take longer and didnt want to wait. so i guess if you want breakfast thats just okay give this place a try.

what's not to like?. everything on the menu is great. when out of town guests come in, it is the the choice for breakfast. split an omelette and a dutch baby with a friend get the best of two meals.

wow, gluten free pancakes. what can i say, someone who has to be gluten free, a pancake house that offer the best pancakes anywhere...bar none. and then add blueberries and warm maple syrup with powder sugar. it is heaven on a plate.

best breakfast!. i only do this once a month cause i know the calories have to be through the roof! i get a pecan waffle with whipped cream (homemade!) and top it with a side of strawberries and get a side of yummy link sausage. it is hands down the best breakfast anywhere!

not as good as advertised. hard review. i was expecting a lot more then what we got here. service was very slow and in the ned eggs were not cooked right and the pancakes were very disapointing. looks like a local hangout though with lots of regulars who like it but our first (maybe only) experience was not great. dont hate place but since i only get an up/down vote i vote down.

best breakfast in the city. excellent food quality and price.

overpriced. the food is fine but for breakfast there are so many better places to have breakfast & less costly. i think the original pancake house is so popular in montgomery because there are few other places to have a family breakfast. first watch is the other choice & sometimes the wait there is over an hour.

for the world's best pancakes. there many be many places that claim to have great pancakes but the original pancake house definitely tops them all. they are, after all, the original. a great place to go for brunch on a sunday morning for some mouthwatering breakfast. try their seasonal pancakes---always a delight!

oh, and their omelettes are huge. at least 8-10 eggs, i'm guessing.
