one of best steak plalces in bangalore. best chicken steak hands down, also garlic chicken sizzler is worth it.beefsteak was decent too. worth with zomato gold.

the place is perfect for steak lovers. we had a couple of steaks - onebeefand one chicken. both the steaks had all the elements perfectly made, including the mashed potatoes. the good thing about once upon a flame is that they offer you a choice in the cooking style - you can get a rare cooked to full cooked steak. and the sauces are unlimited. in case you happen to slurp off the sauce, ask them for more! the ambience is cozy, medium lit, soft 80s english music, nothing loud. 5 stars for a perfect time!

we hadbeefsteak and pork spare ribs. pork spare ribs were really good.beefsteak could have been better (more juicy). we also caramel custard shake , which was really nice.

thebeefwas pretty old and the entire burger was smelly. i can understand the need for pre made meet, but at least try and cook them on daily basis. the cold coffee was awesome. only thing that i had tonight for dinner.

it is after a long time i visited a restaurant that felt so warm and so cozy that i cant stop gushing about it. the food was great and so was the ambience but what blew my mind was the amazing service. the owner of the place takes special care for each one of the guests and makes sure everyone has the best and he makes it a point to have everyone satisfied. kudos to him.

we ordered a pork steak and abeefsteak and some garlic bread on the sides. the pork steak was amazing. absolutely perfect. it was tender and juicy and the sauce was great too. it came with a side of herbed rice, veggies and creamy mashed potatoes and all the items were delicious. thebeefsteak wasn’t the way i like my steak or rather how i am used to when i travel and when i said that to the owner, he offered me any substitute that i wanted and since i wasn’t hungry enough for another meal, i declined and he offered a chocolate mousse on the house that was again out of the world. the best mousse i had in a long time.

it was one extremely delightful experience dining at this place and i would recommend it highly and would definitely go back again.

my 1st time here and i was looking for a continental place with good reviews.
the items ordered are

1.the flamed platter ii

for 650 bucks i got 6 pieces of chicken wings, 4 pork ribs , good quantity ofbeeftenderloin strips. yes you read that right, all these for 650 bucks.beefstrips were damn good.

2. basic fish sticks

the sauce was really tasty

3. the pork knight rises

the portion of this steak was superb, i kinda felt like the sauce was bit off taste with the meat. nevertheless the overall palate was good.

4. happy grillmore

i wanted to have a fish steak and this was suggested by the captain, he explained quite well about the dish and i must say this fish steak is just brilliant. i don't know the name of the captain who took the order but thanks for the suggestion.

5. captain jack's special

beef steaks are always my 1st choice when it comes to the taste. i took a medium grilled one. the meat was really juicy and tasty. there are very few places in bangalore where i love thebeefsteaks and i've added one more to the list now.

they have good hygienic restroom
no alcohol served , mocktails are available
no valet available ( i went there for lunch ), but lot of street parking available

overall i really didn't mind travelling 32 kms to try some new place and i don't mind telling my friends that once upon a flame i travelled so much within the city to try some continental food.

hadbeefsteak, fish steak, a shrimp salad with honey clili sauce. a mango mocktail. every item was delightful. we had a nice time out.

one of the finest steak places i visited in bangalore. best in hsr area. visited the place during corona restrictions. had a great service abiding to all the covid guidelines. we ordered steakalypse nowbeefsteak sizzler,beefmince burger, indo conti chicken, mango and strawberry milkshake. every items were exceptional and great service. would love to visit again.

visited this place for lunch on a sunday morning...they do not have parking facilities... restaurant size was decent...we order pork steak, fish sizzler and abeefburger...all 3 items were okay without any wow factor...okay fr one time visit

ever had those lazy sundays when you sleep all day and then suddenly wake up feeling like you’re gonna die hungry?
do you have those ensnaring meaty cravings (kuch achcha khaana hai feeling) after a mundane day in office ?
well, these are some very recurring situations i’ve found myself in, in the last 4 years, and i have always come to this place to satiate the palate.

i have literally tried everything on the menu (barring the veg options of course 😂)

this is one of very few places which attracts both the young and the old, from college kids to a family with senior citizens, no wonder there’s a 15/20 min waiting on weekends.

here’s a list of some of my go-to dishes :

• chilly lamb : succulent pieces of lambs with perfect balance of flavours.

• penne alfredo seafood : fresh juicy prawns, squid and basa fish slathered in rich creamy sauce. perfect for anyone craving seafood.

• rolling in the deep : another sinful seafood dish with rice and creamy coconut sauce.

• captain jack’s special (beef steak) : all time favourite, haven’t found any other place which can give competition to their jack daniel sauce(maybe their own mushroom sauce😆) and those mashed potatoes mann!! they’re as smooth and creamy as melted cheese.

•beefsteak in mushroom sauce : this sauce is divine, something you won’t find on the menu. nishant the owner suggested this to us when we were too saturated with the jd sauce.

•beefmince burger : exactly how the burger should be, messy, meaty and juicy😂

• key lime cheesecake (something occasionally available on weekends) : fresh cream cheese with mellow undertone of lime is the perfect way to end the meal here. their blueberry cheesecake is really good as well.

they have fantastic burgers, and my personal favourite is mincedbeefburger with an add on of bacon. it’s the only burger i have tried there and i didn’t have to try any more. that’s how good it was!
worth traveling to hsr from indiranagar, anyday.

the place is just amazing. we orderedbeefchunk burger. the burger was loaded withbeefchuck, veggies and cheese. with each and every bite you could feel amazing taste ofbeefalong with cheese🤤.
the non-veg starter had fish fingers, chicken wings and prawns. all the three were deeped in barbeque sauce😋.
steakalypce comes with abeefsteak and mild spicy sauce over it. with some rice, veggies and mashed potatoes. steak lover's will for sure love it, as they give option for your steak. whether you like it full cooked or half cooked.
the owner is friendly and coworkers are polite too 😄.

this place is on the first floor on the building and the entrance is discreet.

the interior ambience is pleasant, and inviting.

the service is quiet and unassuming but efficient. the prices are nominal for the quantity and type of food.

we ordered cream of mushroom soup, potato wedges,beefsteak with peanut basil sauce and chicken steak. every item was good, well prepared and well presented.

overall a brilliant place for lunch in hsr. total bill came to 1491/- which is at par for this place.
