ombu kusina

the ambiance is soooo nice yet you pay for not so much because the prices are very affordable. the food is great, the staff were so nice and very accomodating. halo halo is definitely a must try. ❤️

my family travels all the way to qc just for ombu. their wagyu bistek is soooo good, it feels like i can finish a plate all by myself. we also really love their crispy pata as the meat's twnder, the skin's crispy and it's flavorful. to cap off our meal, we always order their halo -halo. it's really different from the usual halo-halos as it has a bingsu-like texture. also be sure to use your zomato gold membership when you visit because that just makes things even more sulit. really love the vibe and the interiors of the restaurant too.

i was sick during our visit, hence my palate is not that reliable. i could only account to my family and my wife's testimonials for this review.

we booked for a group of 10 via zomato and held my parent's anniversary dinner here. lots of food and they all liked it! i liked the sinigang salmon the most and could remember how bad the flamed chicken tasted. it was like a cake, just for the presentation and nothing more.

kudos to the manager and their staff in accommodating us! they even honored my zomato gold upon arrival! the experience and my companions' testimonials for the food (my wife was satisfied and very happy!) earn them stars

ate here for my lola’s birthday and the place did not disappoint. it was already sulit for the price and serving but using our gold made it even more sulit. we got sisig pizza, squid, adobochon, flaming chicken, bagoong rice, and dilis rice. my favorite out of those was the squid. we also got beignets for dessert which honestly was the best one i’ve tried yet. (probably what pushed me to leave a review) service was great too but needs more coordination. overall, would go back again.

beef kare kare had a good variety of vegetables and meat. taste was on point. the bowl could be shared for three to four people.

crunchy tadyang was succulent on the inside. servings of the meat was also hefty as the bone was separated already.

but if there's one thing that you shouldn't miss, it's their special halo-halo! the shaved ice was deliciously crafted. it tasted as if the ice cream was already blended with it.

saba con yelo, on the other hand, was a great miss! it's disappointingly worse than those you could probably get from the streets.

good food, ambiance and even greater service. has parking in the hotel.

the food is so amazingly delicious! and the place is nice and comfotable. perfect for a good dine out with family or a date, cause you wont be embarassed with the food.

we ordered all meat pizza and flaming chicken (literally flamed!). the all meat pizza is a thin crust pizza and filled with sausages and chorizo. it comes with sour cream/mayo. its is good. the flaming chicken is kinda sweet and savory the same time.

we had high expectations with this restaurant since it was in “best of manila”. the service was so slow, we even had to ask for the bill 3 times before it was given. the food was a big disappointment! we ordered their adobochon which was “roasted for 3 hours” but it was very dry and stale. the skin was hard as a rock. we had to have it reheated (which didn’t change anything really). this is definitely not the best of manila.

my experience was great when my fiancé and i dined here for the first time. the staff were accommodating, i loved the ambiance and i enjoyed their sisig pizza! so for my birthday, i suggested that my family and i celebrate it here. we ordered a number of filipino favorites. i especially loved the tender and flavorful crunchy tadyang. we were overall satisfied with the food served. will be recommending ombu kusina!

i think this is one of the best service we experienced using zomato gold, the manager was so accommodating. plus extra points for their food!!!! delicious!

very pricey for home cook meal, hard parking, it's for hotel guests only. never come back again. my mama cooks better than this place. you want real salty food, come to this place.

we had a rather so-so dinner here. the prices are reasonable and with the zomato gold, it's really cheap. we loved how they didn't skimp the meat and veggies of the sinigang and even gave us a whole separate bowl of just soup. the taste was good but nothing special. the flaming chicken and binagoongang talong were too salty for our taste, the talong is promising though. the brazo de mercedes (not in photos), was our favorite though!!!

first time for us to visit this and it was well worth it. hefty servings, nice food presentation, delicious recipes and excellent service. kudos to joehrel and the rest of the team. thanks to zomato gold also. we will definitely keep coming back!

been here twice already. couldn't get enought of their crispy tadyang 👌 the rest of the food were also good. their sisig pizza was yummy with crispy thin crust. would definitely come back for more!

the number one thing i can commend on ombu is the service of their manager! super pleasant and helpful. she really goes around serving the guests and asks how their food is. we had a few concerns, all which she handled really well. as for the food, i liked their adobochon the most! didn’t really taste the “adobo” part, but good nonetheless! the meat was tender and the skin super crispy and flavorful! i liked the sauce too. also tried their grilled squid which had a more vinegar-y taste rather than a inihaw flavor which would just be up to preference, but i much prefer having the inihaw flavor when it comes to squid. ordered the strawberry vinaigrette salad which is a very simple salad with lettuce, mangoes, tomatoes, and onions. taste was very light and fresh. for dessert, we got the tres leches halo-halo and frozen mango brazo which were good, but not wow.
