what more could you ask for... this cafe serves amazing coffee, great food and nice ambience. its chicken nachos was to-die-for, the sweetcorn fritters w/ bacon was lovely. i wish we have old green bean in melb...

very good. what a nice change to go out for breakfast and not be offered the same old boring fry up. corn fritters were delicious as was the breakfast burrito. coffee was to die for and even the lighter options were perfect for the kids - crisp buttery croisants with a fantastic jam (possibly home made?!). service was really friendly and the place was very busy at 8.30am which is always a good sign in my book. we did have to clear away dirty dishes to get a table, but the staff were obviously very busy.

worth a visit. i'll keep this simple.

if you aren't offended by hipster decor and music that is slightly too loud the old green bean is worth the visit.

food and coffee are lovely but i have to say the cafe always seems unclean. and sometimes has that air of "too cool for school".

awesome :). very relaxing, laid-back vibe to the whole place. menu is thankfully a little outside the usual fare of most brekky places. the coffee is easily the best in bendigo and for miles and miles. the decor is not overly cheesy retro enough to make you smirk, but quirky enough to make you smile. the food is so simple and basic, but altogether clever and well put together. thanks for creating a brilliant alternative in bendigo

very very good. the food is great, we always leave satisfied and refreshed from the healthy array of food they provide. it is fresh and delicious.
it gets busy and tables can be hard to find on occasions but the staff and food make up for it in spades.
we have been going there since it opened, must have been there close to 100 times and have not left dissappointed yet.
pancakes for breakfast and their nacho's are our favourites, but everthing is yummy.
do yourself a favour, i am sure chris and zoe would love to see you.

love it.. the nachos here are to die for. but don't expect your trusty tasty cheese grease pit. the nachos at the old green bean are fresh and sassy and come with an option of chicken to accompany the fetta, tomato, beans, jalapenos, guacamole and sour cream. delicious! more than enough to share with a friend too. plus the setting is relaxed but fresh and the staff are friendly. i love this cafe.

outstanding. i had seen this small cafe many times as i drive past on my way to work. they always look quite busy, even at 8.30 in the morning, today, i had the day off so i decided to go with my partner for lunch. may i just say, it was fantastic!

the meals both tasted delicious and the staff were the best in any hospitality place i've been to in ages. even though it is not 'table service' they are very kind at the counter and clearly all love to work there.

i would recommend old green bean and i'll be back on any other days off i get!

rude and unprofessional. first timers , 4 of us. we asked about a table , we were told rudely to go and find one. there was only one table to seat 4 , so after clearing away previous occupants dishes that had been there awhile we sat waiting. after 15 minutes we decided to go and ask whether they came to us or we had to go up and order. we were rudely told to find a menu at the end of the counter , then come and order. we took them back to the still unclean table . thought we would ask about the daily specials only to be told , rudely , it's only what you see . at this point we thought we would leave . the more tolerant amongst us wanted to give them a go anyway. we should have left . the chosen meals were all dreadful , never ever again !!! rude , unhelpful , awful meals and unprofessional .

ordinary. had breakfast there this morning. burnt roll....slow service to get food. coffee was okay, but won't go back, or recommend.

...just imagine – a fantastic brunch venue with good coffee, a selection of around 10 belgium hot chocolates, a decent standard menu in the heart of town. now imanine that this place is the only brunch place in town with some heart and half empty. if this was melbourne, the place would be pumping, lines

decent coffee and good food. the service is excellent, the staff were very attentive and friendly. they were very apologetic when they got our order wrong and replaced it immediately. highly recommended for coffee and brekkie/lunch.
