super friendly staff, communal, outdoor and table seating available. very quick service.
staff were very friendly and interactive. truly on the ball with what was going on in the room.
we had the salmon bagel and salmon on olive bread with 2 poached eggs and avo. both were delicious and the poached eggs simply perfect. fruit drink aloha  ( pineapple lime ) was great
nice retro décor. pricing was ok perhaps a dollar or two cheaper per item would be better. had an atmosphere that you felt like you needed to leave once done, but not due to the staff , just the building.

after seeing a 4.9 on zomato magnum thought it couldn't be that good can it? lots of locals and a few tourists (like me) but the big breakfast was sensational. makes many cafes in melbourne look shabby in comparison.

they do a decent breakfast here with some innovative and scrumptious ideas for both food and drink. great and unique variety from a drinks perspective too. perhaps the best thing about green bean is that it offers a variety of healthy options. almost anything you can order here is a win. i personally recommend the breakfast burrito, both the veggo version and standard. my latest meal the big breakfast was a little average though.

fantastic hospitality and assistance from the staffs in trying to seat the 20 of us when we called up just minutes earlier enquiring whether there was enough tables for all of us. orders are taken at the counter and food and beverages are served promptly despite the place being packed. our lattes were robust and bold but too much foam in the cup. my friends enjoyed their hot chocolate and chai latte immensely. the big breakfast and caesar eggs were both more-ish and the eggs were poached to perfection, definitely egg porn going on. smashed avo was creamy and had a nice crunch from the pepitas. the addition of chia seeds was a pleasant surprise. the chicken focaccia was a bit dry but then again we think it's because my friend ask for no cheese. overall, great value for price and we loved the cosines of the cafe.

loved this place. we were welcomed the second we walked in despite the crowds. lunch time was super busy but the staff are all excellent and friendly. food was quick and tasty, and so well prices. salmon bagel and fresh juice with change from a $20!
coffee was the best we've had in town and they have fresh beans for sale too.
we will definately be back soon!

old green bean @oldgreenbean has some of the mostly consistent food and coffee in #bendigo. their coffee house blend would be a podium finish for one of the best roasts in town of which is all done on site. single origins and specialist coffee is something old green bean do rather well too. surrounded by a recycled clothing shop, cool kids/wait staff & kitschy art items on the walls felt like fleeting moment somewhere hunter s thompson wouldn't have felt out of place. service is something this cafe does well, however for out of towners knowing whom has ordered is always difficult due to the scattered line system. the food here is the most reasonable in bendigo you won't find better value for money anywhere else. i ate the large nachos at $11 just adds weight to the previous statement. i must admit these are the best nachos i have ever eaten locally with all the ingredients super fresh. can't go wrong with salty feta, black beans and home made guacamole. the fresh coriander is subtle and perfect way to finish off this dish. #foodmypants #food #foodie #foodporn #instafood #food #victoria

this place needs a good clean.

glasses are filthy, table water has a good layer of scum in the bottom of the bottle, and waitresses just wipe the crumbs and grot from the table onto the floor.
there were a million flies inside on the day i went, which made for a most unpleasant meal.

i had the green pea smash- which was a rather underwhelming pile of cold, unseasoned mashed peas on a pretty average piece of bread.

service is non-existent. you order and pay at the counter, which means queuing for a good 5 minutes while you stand in the way of the meals coming out of the kitchen.

coffee was ok, and i probably would have had another if there was table service and i didn't have to queue for another.

great cafe ! was driving past and saw plenty of locals hanging out - this is always a good sign. very reasonably priced and great coffee. the staff was friendly and amazing. food was tasty with great flavours!

i couldn't honestly rate this place high enough. the food is always fresh and quick. staff are super friendly and always happy. coffee is always spot on. i love how the specials board is always changing daily.

this cafe never fails to deliver the young couple that own it are super friendly and very efficient there coffee is consistently good and their banana bread the best i have tried quite a few and here is just the best well done and they are a dog friendly place which suits me fine

everytime i visit im greeted with genuine smiles from all the people that work there!!!!food is awesome and they are so caring when i bring my dog there.....love the crochet rugs ...great touch!!!

absolutely loved this place! we were only in bendigo for a few days and i'm so glad that we found these guys on the first day. we were back for breakfast every day. fantastic coffee! breakfast was really good value and incredibly yummy. will go back anytime i'm in town.
