munchies 420 cafe

really fun. went there to see what changes they have made since the early days when there was no place to sit and it was just a hole in the wall. now it has two bars and a tiki outside like i never saw before. food still great and they added more munchie items. i recommend going...yes youwaitfor the food but its not take out and they make everything to order. based on the crowds it appears to be more popular than ever.

get ready towaitloooong to order and to get your food. three of us went on a weekday evening and waited well over an hour to get outlet food. there were only 4 other people in the restaurant before us. i believe they had a lot of to go orders but still, 1 hr is waaay too long.

the food was good and filling but i wouldn't say it was fingerlicking good.

haste makes waste. site is down so i tried to repeat my last order. ms "i dont handle being busy very well" messed up the order.waitan hour to get the wrong items. ms insists im stuck with what i got. thank god im not stuck having to order from munchies ever again!

this place had such a longwaitthe place is dirty and nasty it seemed like the place was made in 1456 the food is also nasty they say they have fries on their sandwiches but i only had one greesy fry

awful place. this place was honestly..awful. i went with a group of friends because they had seen it on man vs food. let me tell you, the place looks dirty, there are barely any places to sit, thewaittime for us was an hour long and one of our friends had towaiteven longer. the bathrooms are in the back of the place, you have to walk around the building into an alley and then you find their bathrooms which are dirty and rigged weird, one of the doors was held by a bungee cord..come on. i mean, you'd think with all the money and hype this place gets that they'd hire more people and fix the place but damn, this place is awful. the food was also mediocre. it was like food you eat at a carnival or something. the only plus to this place is that its open so late, other than that you might as well eat at mcdonalds, because theres nothing special about munchies.

bring an appetite and defibrillator. munchies is not for anyone who is on a diet, has ever dieted, or is thinking about dieting in the future. everything, except the water, is bad for you. but, ohhhh soooo delicious. my entire family (beware as there are age requirements at certain hours) ordered the "fat" sandwiches and nobody was disappointed. all were great, but the "fat daddy" stood out. food was fresh, delicious, and fattening. exactly what food should be.

people complain about the wait, but it's all made when you order. the sign on the counter makes this clear. you maywaita bit, but it's worth it.

the drawbacks of this place are that the food does take quite a while to come out, and the indoor seating is very minimal. when we ordered, we were told that we'd have towait40 minutes for our food. while i think it was actually more like 30 minutes, that's still quite a long time towaitfor one sandwich. but as it was a saturday night, the place was packed and people were picking up carry-out orders by the dozen. inside, there are only 3 booths and a few stools at bars on either side of the entryway. while plenty of picnic tables are available outside, they're in direct sunlight as the sun is setting. we waited about 10 minutes there, before the heat drove us around the corner to sit at one of the nearby ice cream shop

unbelievable. i have been going to munchies 420 for 5 years now. you people who freak about the service and everything else, apparantly youve never eaten at an a place that doesntwaiton you hand and foot and you are premadonnas. the food is amazing!!!!!! everyone i know loves the place. the service yah it sucks, but its worth every bit of thewaitand they are busy. if it sucks wy are they so busy? you people are stupid. this place rocks!!!!!

horrible customer service. we've been waiting here for over 40 min for 2 sandwiches. i haven't even tasted the food yet but it can't be good enough towaitfor 40 min with no seating.

overall...very disappointing. we visited munchies 420 cafe recently on a saturday night and based on my experiences i had to write a review. arriving around 9:00pm we were pretty hungry and hoped munchies could fix that. our first impression was the size of the establishment, its quite small...the pinball machine in there takes up about a quarter of the waiting area! we were greeted by a very nice lady behind the counter that took our order. i had ordered the garbage philly and my fiancee ordered the long branch chicken sandwich. at this point we were still hopeful for a delicious meal, but things changed quickly...

as we were waiting for our food, we made observations like them stating things were made to order and asking patrons to be patient. about 15 mins in, the very nice lady in the front was replaced by a very rude man in the front. a group of what looked like tourists came in and wanted to do the wing challenge but this guy gave every reason in the book for them not to do it and suggested they order a bunch of other stuff instead. now back to the waiting. let me tell you, thewaitwas absolutely ridiculous....it took nearly 1 hour for us to get our food. and we counted only 6 orders before ours! this was worst than waiting for chinese on new years eve! when we left, the people that ordered after us were still waiting for their food; which was only 20 wings.....over an hour for 20 wings!?

now on to the food....i was very disappointed in my philly steak. it definitely was a decent size for a sandwich but quality of the ingredients were poor. the beef itself wasn't too bad. the bread on the other hand was slightly stale, but what got me were these nasty rubbery canned mushrooms! i know they're only mushrooms, but i was stunned to find any restaurant using anything canned...this is as far from quality and fresh you can get. the chicken sandwich wasn't any better...my fiancee took one bit and asked for some mcdonalds afterwards, literally. the size of the sandwich was very small and again the ingredients were poor. the chicken patty looked like it was one of those half-chicken half-filler type chicken patties. the one good thing about our meal was the small bag of homemade chips we got. we ate the chips and sadly the sandwiches ended up in the garbage. if you have the "munchies" you're better off at your local 7-11.
