all ribbed out. during this outing my party and i had to wait 30+ minutes to be seated but unlike in the past no sample appetizers were handed out.
our server was polite, prompt and personable and ensured our waters and sodas were refilled. although there were some errors in our drink orders, she was quick to correct them.
i elected for the all you can eat (ayce)ribsdue to its competitive pricing relative to a single order ofribs(+$3 for unlimited) and the opportunity to sample a diversity of rib flavors. theribsall come with coleslaw, cornbread and a choice of corn, fries, or salad. i had the opportunity (and stomach space) to try the memphis dry spice sideribs(was not listed in the rib section of the menu), cracked black peppercorn sideribs, and texas bold sideribs alongside a side of fries.
the coleslaw was nothing special but the fries were crispy and golden-brown. of course, they are not the homemade variety as this is a chain restaurant but they were delicious nonetheless. i was never truly a fan of cornbread and the one that came with my meal did not change my opinion.
the memphis dry rub was flavorful and delicious but i did get the occasional tinge of sourness which i did not care for. this was also the first rack that i ordered so it was a full-sized rack. the cracked black peppercorn was delicious but similar to the experiences of other reviewers, this rack was quite fatty making it difficult to eat. the texas boldribshad the flavor profile that you would expect from the archetype of bbq ribs. all theribswere cooked perfectly to fall-off the bone quality but there were some 'rack-to-rack' inconsistencies with the fattiness of the sideribs.
although it is is pricey (~$25 for ayce sideribs) and definitely not the best, but it is delicious and recommended to a rib-lover. it can be quite busy on weekends so its a good idea to make reservations if you do not want to wait.
