outstanding food and service, the bestmontana'sin the city. we had sirloin steak which was cooked to perfection (medium rare) and so tendar. i am not usually a sirloin lover but was so impressed it's my steak place now. wings & ribs were outstanding and i can't forget to add how good the antihito's are, our family favorite appetizer. service is efficient and so friendly. highly recommend this montana's.

googledmontana'sfor hours and it said opened till 2am. we got there at 10:15.
it was not very full and my group of 5 were seated immediately. it took us 15 minutes to flag a waitress.
she had no idea what was on tap and after we order our beer she comes back and says the ones we want don't work.
another waitress comes to take our order and says that they are only open to 11 and some menu items are not available such as nachos.
we finally figure out what we can have and order.
food comes but some stuff is missing as she says they are out of such as potato and gravy.
we finally get our bill which is the full amount even though items were missing.
never going back and will never recommend.

food was good, service was just okay.. our group of 8 dined here for a birthday on saturday night. the food atmontana'sis the good barbecued kind. i enjoyed my meal - the chipotle firecracker burger, and others at my table did, too. a couple folks did not enjoy their dinners, however, specifically the belgian waffle chicken burger - it was a new menu item that went with the current promotion. both diners said the waffle was too sweet and ruined the burger. for the most part, our group had a good time. our server could have been slightly more attentive refilling our drinks, but it was saturday night and he was probably busy. it is not really my issue that he is busy. after all, i am the paying customer, so i expect my drink to be refilled and not sit empty for too long. if it is too busy, perhaps just leave us with a pitcher, that would make sense. other than this minor bit of unattentiveness, our experience was very good.

ordered the nachos. friend and i ordered the nachos yesterday.... 15.99 plus taxes and extras for an oval plate of mostly coloured nacho chips on a black paper. most of the melted cheese was stuck to the paper with the chips, the pulled pork was maybe
an ounce spread on the top, there is not a lot of chopped tomatoe or cheese or meat or anything. thanks
for the 5 tiny slices of jalapeno pepper. when your making a high profit plate of nachos which is mostly
nacho chips which translates into a few pennies, give the customer a decent amount of topping on them. also, got charged for extra salsa.
left feeling fully ripped off!

great food... it was and is always been great in allmontana'sespecially at this location. the people are nice,prompt and courteous not to mention the service which has always been excellent. we'll always be a regular at this location.

good food. i have never had a bad experience atmontana'scookhouse, the food is great and the waitresses are always very friendly. sometimes the food can run a bit pricey but its worth it for the amount of food you get. also the scenery in the restaurant is awesome.

great food!.montana'sis such a great place for man food. great wings - check! great burgers - check! great ribs - check! i decided to switch things up a little and order the meatloaf the other day and it was delicious. on top of all that they serve great appetizers and desserts, so you can get the whole package and walk away absolutely stuffed!

montana's update. within hours of sending an email tomontana'smanagement in regard to the poor service i received on july 31, i received a phone call from the daytime manager. she apologized for the poor service and promised to look into the sun/blinds problem (which she indicated also bothers servers). in today's mail i received a $30.00 gift card from montana's.

while the service on july 31 was awful on just about every level, i have to say i'm impressed with the quick response from management and their efforts to make things right.

"b" team on duty. my friend and i went out for dinner atmontana'slast night and we never actually got to eat. here's what happened:

-it was busy, but not too bad of a wait. we were given a pager & told to wait. we were not offered the option of sitting at the bar or on the patio while waiting for a table. all other patrons coming after us were.
-our drinks were very late and/or forgotten and reordered. when they arrived i got the wrong one. both drinks were poorly made and extremely watered down...the "clamato" in the caesar seemed to be a no-name substitute that had no clams in it and the vodka martini had more ice than drink.
-we never received the water we requested several times.
-we were seated at a dining room table facing directly into the evening sun. the "blinds" were useless. i asked the hostess to either reseat us or put up the brown paper they have on the tables, to offer some relief. i explained to both our server and the hostess that i currently have an eye problem that meant i couldn't look into the sun. the hostess promised to contact the manager but i didn't see her leave her station or use the house phone. the manager did not come to see us and the hostess continued to ignore us, although we were in plain view.
- needless to say, no food materialized during this time. when it became evident that we were being ignored,we decided to leave & i again asked to speak to the manager. the hostess offered a sarcastic apology & finally went to find the manager. the hostess' behaviour throughout was adolescent and unprofessional.
-the manager took her time coming to see us and only then offered to reseat us. at this point we were had been there about 40 minutes. we were done, but asked for the drinks bill.
-we waited a considerable time to get the drinks bill, (which the manager should have comped us, given the poor service). there was no offer to make it right, just the choice of wait to be reseated or go. i also do not recall that the manager apologized for the poor service.

i eat at thismontana'squite often since it is one of the few places in the city i can have a fairly decent gluten-free food selection, and it has usually been good to very good, although it is quite common to have slow service there.

maybe because it was a holiday weekend the "b" or even "c" team was on duty. whatever the case it will be a long time before i return to thatmontana'slocation.

solid family restaurant.montana'sis owned by the same people who own kelsey's. it is a family style restaurant chain with a rustic theme.

while i wasn't there with children, i was amused that the table is covered with a large piece of butcher paper and a small cup of crayons are there waiting.

nothing fancy about the decor, it resembles a log cabin. the menu contains a wide variety of foods, but the ribs are clearly the house specialty. that is what i selected and i wasn't disappointed.

the menu claims they are cooked in a smoker, but i found them hotter than that. i suspect that they are likely smoked and then finished on a grill or oven...for me, this is a good thing. i had the texas bold sauce, which is their standard bbq sauce and it was quite flavourful. kind of a sweet bbq sauce. there are four other sauces to choose from. the ribs were very meaty and it was all i could do to finish the whole rack. they run a special on wednesday nights that features all you can eat bbq ribs. that would be a challenge.

the side items run the usual gamut. you do get a piece of cornbread with the ribs, which was a nice touch.

service was attentive and friendly. the prices were pretty standard for this kind of place. i would not hesitate to go back to this location.
