outstandingfoodand service, the best montana's in the city. we had sirloin steak which was cooked to perfection (medium rare) and so tendar. i am not usually a sirloin lover but was so impressed it's my steak place now. wings & ribs were outstanding and i can't forget to add how good the antihito's are, our family favorite appetizer. service is efficient and so friendly. highly recommend this montana's.

a good place to grab an appetizer and beer, but i wouldn't come here for dinner. i find the price on the menu, doesn't match the quality offoodyou get on your plate. i also just am not a fan of the restaurant itself as i find it crammed all the time.

this restaurant has very very slow service. thefoodisn't that good either. it is very pricey. they took all the good meals off. it takes 1 hour and 30 minutes to do the cooking. the appetizers are $13.00 for 10 pita chips and spinach dip. thus place is garbage. don't even get me started on service. that i give a -100/5 it is horrible it takes almost 2:30 forfoodit is horrible!!! do not go here. i only put 1/5 because it hat is the lowest i wish i could put a 0/5!!!

food was good, service was just okay.. our group of 8 dined here for a birthday on saturday night. thefoodat montana's is the good barbecued kind. i enjoyed my meal - the chipotle firecracker burger, and others at my table did, too. a couple folks did not enjoy their dinners, however, specifically the belgian waffle chicken burger - it was a new menu item that went with the current promotion. both diners said the waffle was too sweet and ruined the burger. for the most part, our group had a good time. our server could have been slightly more attentive refilling our drinks, but it was saturday night and he was probably busy. it is not really my issue that he is busy. after all, i am the paying customer, so i expect my drink to be refilled and not sit empty for too long. if it is too busy, perhaps just leave us with a pitcher, that would make sense. other than this minor bit of unattentiveness, our experience was very good.

all you can eat ribs.... on wednesdays they have all you can eat ribs at montana's. you have your choice of either back or side ribs and pay $1 more than the price of their large order. you also have your choice of 6 different rubs and sauces for the ribs.
i chose back ribs ($26.99) with memphis spice dry rub and a side of texas bold sauce for dipping.
the 1st order of ribs i received was large, cooked perfectly and was a nice cut of meat. it came with my choice of 2 sides and a cornbread. i liked the taste of the memphis spice which was not really spicy, celery salt was probably the predominant flavour i kept getting; dipped in the texas bold bbq sauce, i thought made it better.
anyway i kept eating and was brought a 2nd portion of ribs which was not as big as the 1st but still pretty good though not as nice of a cut as the 1st piece. the 3rd and 4th pieces i was brought were only about 3-4 ribs big and definitely end cuts that were chewy, more fatty and the 4th was just plain dry and over-cooked. lauren my waitress (who was fabulous) said i could send it back if i wanted but at that point i was full anyway. i was not really pleased with the way the quality of the ribs decreased with each order that was brought out. if you advertise all you can eat, the standard of thefoodshould not go down. the coleslaw was ok as was the garden salad but the raspberry vinaigrette was way too sweet for my taste. cornbread was served cold and was also too sugary.
i doubt i would return again as it really wasn't worth it in the end. i will say though that the orders of ribs were brought out fairly quickly so you didn't have to wait forever for your next serving.

don't like it all! took some friends there along with their two young kids as well as my husband and our two kids. waited a while, no problem. but the service was incredibly poor!! we all ordered appetizer foods (so kids wouldn't have to wait long), but ended up waiting well over an hour. when ourfoodcame every order had something wrong, and some we did not even get. the manager came and tried to say she would give us a discount, but after all that went wrong, kids were extremely cranky because they were so hungry and thefoodthat we did get was so incredibly dry we couldn't even eat it, we asked that they do better. which they did, but after spending over 2 hours in a restaurant when it should have only been half that time and leaving just as hungry as when you came in, i can say i won't be going back.

montana's update. within hours of sending an email to montana's management in regard to the poor service i received on july 31, i received a phone call from the daytime manager. she apologized for the poor service and promised to look into the sun/blinds problem (which she indicated also bothers servers). in today's mail i received a $30.00 gift card from montana's.

while the service on july 31 was awful on just about every level, i have to say i'm impressed with the quick response from management and their efforts to make things right.

"b" team on duty. my friend and i went out for dinner at montana's last night and we never actually got to eat. here's what happened:

-it was busy, but not too bad of a wait. we were given a pager & told to wait. we were not offered the option of sitting at the bar or on the patio while waiting for a table. all other patrons coming after us were.
-our drinks were very late and/or forgotten and reordered. when they arrived i got the wrong one. both drinks were poorly made and extremely watered down...the "clamato" in the caesar seemed to be a no-name substitute that had no clams in it and the vodka martini had more ice than drink.
-we never received the water we requested several times.
-we were seated at a dining room table facing directly into the evening sun. the "blinds" were useless. i asked the hostess to either reseat us or put up the brown paper they have on the tables, to offer some relief. i explained to both our server and the hostess that i currently have an eye problem that meant i couldn't look into the sun. the hostess promised to contact the manager but i didn't see her leave her station or use the house phone. the manager did not come to see us and the hostess continued to ignore us, although we were in plain view.
- needless to say, nofoodmaterialized during this time. when it became evident that we were being ignored,we decided to leave & i again asked to speak to the manager. the hostess offered a sarcastic apology & finally went to find the manager. the hostess' behaviour throughout was adolescent and unprofessional.
-the manager took her time coming to see us and only then offered to reseat us. at this point we were had been there about 40 minutes. we were done, but asked for the drinks bill.
-we waited a considerable time to get the drinks bill, (which the manager should have comped us, given the poor service). there was no offer to make it right, just the choice of wait to be reseated or go. i also do not recall that the manager apologized for the poor service.

i eat at this montana's quite often since it is one of the few places in the city i can have a fairly decent gluten-freefoodselection, and it has usually been good to very good, although it is quite common to have slow service there.

maybe because it was a holiday weekend the "b" or even "c" team was on duty. whatever the case it will be a long time before i return to that montana's location.

decent, not excellent.. used to work here and although i loved the people, i've never liked the food. they salt with a heavy hand and thefoodis rarely consistent. to be fair, they have a bunch of high school pot heads in the back (who are clean during shifts though) who don't always put 100% into everything esp. on a busy night. when i served, i got a lot of complaints nightly aboutfoodtemperatures. don't be afraid to send it back! since the managers are generally good people they'll do their best to make sure it's to your liking 2nd time around. but it's not worth the time, effort or cash to keep going back. i am satisfied when i leave but it's not a place i and longing to return.
