service was great, but queso tastes like movie theater cheese that comes on nachos. queso is big to me obviously. the nachos weren't worth the money paid.

food was just meh! don't waste your time or money.. had read good reviews about mia's and wanted to try it. that was my first mistake. the food was just okay. actually, it was so bad i couldn't even finish it. but the prices weren't too high, and i thought that the meal was okay for the price, but i wouldn't return. there are so many other good tex-mex/mex restaurants in dallas that i didn't need to go back to a mediocre place. my second mistake was to hesitate just outside the front door while waiting for the valet to bring my car. unbelievably, my friend and i were deluged with water. we were both soaked head to toe. the valet started laughing at us. we were astonished. his english was not good, so we weren't sure where the water came from. it seemed as if it was a/c runoff. one thing for sure was that it had happened to other people before. the management, when told about this, said it was an accident. they offered no apology. they offered no complementary meal. they pretty much blamed us for standing there. i told them that they had lost a customer because of it. they didn't care. apparently, it happens there frequently. so if you go to this restaurant, please be aware that they are not customer friendly. they have allowed a consistent problem to persist, and on something that would be an easy fix. and their food is meh. so, my recommendation, skip mia's. you can get good brisket tacos elsewhere. but if you do try it, be prepared to possibly be soaked with gross water if you stand outside of the door.

just had a near orgasmic experience with a taco! the brisket taco at mia’s is a destination experience. everything about it is perfect. the meat is flavorful and tender, the tortillas are perfectly toasted and the peppers and onions perfectly sautéed. if you don’t stop here you then you are doing yourself a true disservice!

i discovered mia's over three decades ago, when it was first located in a small store front on lemmon avenue. the word spread, and the need for more tables brought the restaurant to the current location.

over the years, mia's family members and employees have started other restaurants, including, mi cocina's, taco diner, mesero's and manny's, but the catalyst for all these, is this colorful restaurant on lemmon avenue!

so many great dishes, including the brisket tacos, enchiladas and a number of specialties. but i decided that on a cold night, i needed my comfort dish, sunset chicken enchiladas, with ranchero beans.

when i want tex-mex, i return to one of the great spots in dallas! glenn almack

...and so i returned to mia's and discovered a new dish!   camarones a la diabla is one amazing dish, with some fire from the devil to make it interesting.  shrimp in 'chile de arbol' sauce, with sauteed vegetables and white rice.   definitely a spicy dish, but the vegetables and rice kept things anchored in this world.  glenn almack

i was excited about my meal i forgot to take a picture of it 🤣. my bride and i dined with our daughter and it was delicious! the gals enjoyed enchiladas and i enjoyed stake & sausages fajitas (maybe the best i’ve ever eaten) followed by deserts. a great experience all the way around, i hope to revisit again soon.

we called ahead, and were told the wait is about 30 minutes. they were not doing reservations or "call aheads". all of the parking is valet parking. but the only cost is what you tip the valet. when we arrived they said the wait was 45 minutes, but if we wanted to sit outside, we could sit immediately. we chose that, as the weather was nice. the salsa and queso were great. i tried the brisket tacos, and they were very good. our daughter is a little picky - she ordered one of the enchiladas, but it wasn't quite the same as she's used to, so i swapped one of my brisket tacos, and she thought that was great. our server was very attentive. they do have both flour and corn tortillas available.

our party of 3 enjoyed very much enjoyed mia's. good/fresh chips and salsa, tacos and enchiladas! restaurant is fairly small/cozy but we were seated after a brief wait and service as responsive and cordial. this was our 5th time at mia's and it continues to be a very good / steady choice.

archetypal delicious tex-mex! i had miguelito's special, which consisted of a well-seasoned and juicy beef taco with a hard shell, a creamy chicken enchilada and a a cheese enchilada. the enchiladas were drenched and stuffed with tangy cheese, as they should be, and the creamy chicken enchilada was a treat as well. i finished it off with a perfectly executed flan. would love to go back!

old school texmex faves done as well as i've ever had them. affordable, awesome service. could eat here forever -- my brother certainly wanted to -- he insisted on going three times in three days on his first trip to dallas!

average at best. seems like food has gone downhill...had the roast beef tacos (menu said "brisket" tacos" )....no taste at all. chips and sauce always good, wife had very average enchiladas...after many years, we will be saying adios to mia's.
no mas..

good food, good atmosphere. wouldn't say it's the greatest mexican food around, but it is definitely worth trying. really good food, great atmosphere, good service and lots of "celebrity pictures" on the wall, which i guess is supposed to validate the reasons you are there. definitely a good time and well worth it. totally enjoyed the nachos and cold beer. tried their "skinny" margarita which was supposed to be made up of tequila, lime juice, and grand marnier. wrong. the waitress couldn't exactly describe what tasted so sweet in the drink, so we sent it back and had the beers instead. one of these days i'll order the brisket tacos. definitely recommend this place!

no nasty! i can't believe this place is still here. i ate there about 15 years ago and since its still standing i decided to try it with my kids. the queso tasted like it was poured straight from the giant commercial can. my kids didn't like it at all. the chicken enchiladas had a "sour cream" sauce that had a unnatural fluorescent yellow color. they also had little flavor and the chicken was the decent part so i picked it out and ate that. taquitos were bland. and the framed pictures in the women's restroom were growing mold! not just a little either but a significant portion. at the end was the price. it was worth maybe half what was charged. i advise anyone not to come here. i have been to many places and i didn't expect much but wow. i am embarrassed it has the word "mex" by it (yes, i'm mexican)
