delicious from start to finish. very nice meal at mayan cafe last evening! we started with an appetizer whose name i cannot recall that was a dip made from pumpkin seeds, served with tortilla chips.greatdepth of flavor yet not too heavy. for our entrees, my wife and i both had the pork loin which was served with an open-faced tamale and with a side of their famous lima beans. the pork was lean and juicy and topped with pickled onions, which were agreatcontrast to the pork and really helped to set off the entire dish. the lima beans are absolutely delicious - if your entree does not come with these, i would suggest getting an order as a side. our son had the mayan burger (hey, he's only six), which he managed to devour - this was served with a side of fried plantain chips - nicely done and not greasy. for dessert, we shared a bread pudding which came with a side of avacado ice cream - both were nicely executed. for drinks, my wife and i each had two local craft beers and we slit a glass of bourbon with dessert. our son had a glass of grapefruit soda which very nicely done. all in all, a very nice meal for about $120 including tax + tip.
