biscuits not the best. i saw that it was the # 1 listing on urbanspoon's talk of the town". i thought let's give it a try saturday morning.

i ordered 3 biscuits. a bacon biscuit, a ham biscuit , & a cinnamon biscuit.
my wife ordered a bacon, egg, cheese biscuit with gravy.

they have a great concept and are friendly.

the biscuits are not the best. they are rather bland & tough. not hot , fluffy buttermilk biscuits that we make at home using the southern living recipe.

the sausage gravy was good with lots of sausage & a nice bite to it. the bacon was good but the ham was not to my liking. i would have preferred a nice piece of country ham.

the cinnamon biscuit was ok. still rather tough & not hot, fresh or soft.

if biscuits are your hallmark then you would think that they would find someone that can make a decent one. i remember the huge cathead biscuits that were served at the homestead restaurant back in the 70-90s. also famous amos had a great biscuit back then before they went to a cheap mix and now frozen biscuits.

i think "nicole's on the river" on heckscher dr makes a better biscuit than maple street.

still a nice neighborhood place & worth a try.

a fresh breakfast all day!. walk in and you get to see them making fresh biscuits. went for lunch with a friend and we both thought we are coming back with our family. road construction made us look for parking but was worth it. the five was amazing and you will ask how do they make that gravy.

this place is amazing. thats all. anyone that says its not good doesn't know food. i would say its not the healthiest place to eat but its my go to spot to cheat. the sqwauking goat is to die for and that mac and cheese should be illegal. sinful! the owners are passionate about what they do and show you how much they care about the customers. overall a+! can't wait to go back.

amazing place! from the get go, i knew this place would be a winner. when you walk in you're greeted immediately by the staff, and i loved that our order was noted by my boyfriend's favorite movie instead of by name. we recieved our food very timely and everything was hot and neatly built on the plate. i had the bacon, fried chicken, and maple syrup biscuit and it was phenomenal. as i was getting my drink prior, i noticed the sign explaining the coffee flavors and that they were all local, ranging from dark to light decaf roasts. we went for the coffee, and my boyfriend had the darkest roast (he's a marine so he likes it black and strong) and even as someone who doesn't drink black coffee, the coffee was dark and just strong enough without being bitter. i had the maple coffee which was a medium brew--i could not stop drinking it. the maple was so

prevalent throughout it unlike most 'flavored' coffees and it was all at the perfect temperature. the owner played a big role in his restaurant, always checking to make sure it was all perfect. upon chatting to find out it was our first time, he showed up at our table with a complimentary dessert (two cinnamon pecan biscuits with icing) and it was absolutely delicious. definitely one of the nicest things i've seen an owner do. upon leaving, after ranting for a few minutes about how i wished the maple coffee was sold in bags and filing up a to go cup of it, my boyfriend came back with a bag of it at a very decent cost of $10 a lb. all in all i was thrilled with this restaurant, and my man and i have definitely found a go to for our jacksonville trips. 12 out of 10 for sure. must go!!

among the best in town for breakfast. along with derby on park, tapa that, blind fig, and metro it's in my weekend brekkies rotation!

a breakfast restaurant that is closed on sundays? big bummer, drove a long way there assuming that a breakfast joint would be open on the weekends lol.

great food and atmosphere. this was a fantastic meal! the restaurant has a great feel to it, homey in a sense, with rustic overtones that make you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in the door. i ordered the ralphie deluxe and my wife ordered the farmer. both were fantastic, hearty and homemade. the food is simple, but it gives you want you're looking for. not expensive, and definitely has character. try the cinnamon pecan roll, it's a wonderful experience.

fantastic !. i went for breakfast with my family and must say, the whole experience was great. there was crowd but the service moved the customer through smoothly but even if it had been a long wait it would be well worth it! the price is just right and the down home freshed cooked items are the menu are spot on. a must try for any fellow foodie like me :)

love this place. i love this place. i have been multiple times and plan on continuing to support this local gem. their biscuits are fresh and delicious and fried chicken cooked to perfection. their bacon is some of the better bacon i have had. my only complaint is that the size of the chicken can be very inconsistent. i have ordered with a friend and the size of their fried chicken was twice the size of mine. mine was very small which made the $8 price tag seem a bit steep.

sour faced girl at the cash register. my husband and i love to frequent maple street! the food is outstanding as is the atmosphere. we are always greeted with a welcome and a smile and the guys always ask us if they can get anything for us! but, today we got to the restaurant around 11:00 or so. the tall blonde at the register was extremely unwelcoming. she kept asking us to repeat ourselves and also seemed to not want to be working. (must have been the same cashier form the 4/20/14 reader review.) maybe she needs to work behind the scenes and not out front greeting customers..if i were somewhere else, i probably would have walked out! but, i enjoy the food here!! once we got passed her, our breakfast was delicious!! love the blackberry preserves on the homemade biscuit!
