maple street biscuit company

this place was absolutely perfect. it's almost like deli style how you are served, when you walk in their menu is right up front followed by the order counter, we placed our order, my wife and i both got the sticky maple. (it sounded way to good to pass up) and we decided to share a order of "hash ups" after we ordered instead of asking for our name, or giving us a ticket number they asked me what my favorite cartoon was growing up. which i thought was really cool and unique. although my wife didn't find my answer dragon ball z to be. about 5-10 mins later they yell for dragon ball z, and we get our food. both the biscuit and hashups were huge and looked amazing. if you are with some one i recommend sharing the side! but it was by far the best biscuit i have ever eaten in my life, both grandmas and moms included on that list. home made biscuits and syrup chicken was cooked perfect, both tender and juicy. bacon thick and crispy, which from my 10 years of restaurants experience i know is not a easy task. i would give this place a few more star but i am only limited to five, it's really that good. my only regret is we stopped here on our way out of town, and i didn't know about this gem all week while on vacation. if you are in the area or just stopping threw this is a must stop!

we stumbled upon this place while visiting jacksonville and wow what a find! the service was amazing and the food even better! overall great experience, i can't wait to come back!!!

we are visiting jacksonville from colorado and went here for breakfast this morning. the staff was very friendly and fun, and the food and coffee were amazing! we had the potatoes, collard greens and a biscuit sandwich with egg and sausage gravy and a farmers biscuit sandwhich, they were all soooo tasty. we will be back and i highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!

this place is fantastic in everyway. only big issue is isn't open more often. if u haven't eaten here, i feel sorry for you! u gotta come eat here.

so many things to try! everything is great. the food taste better at this location & i prefer the atmosphere as well. it can some times be troublesome finding a table, but i have never had a problem making new friends while there. the food is so great you will want to share anyway!

i love their gravy and biscuits - it has a little kick to it.  i also liked their sweet biscuit but they would hardly ever have them available - they may be off the menu now but they should bring them back.  i think it was nice to have something sweet to balance all the savory.i am a tea drinker but i like regular unflavored tea and they usually don't have any so i bring my own tea bag.  i'm thankful that they now have a carafe of hot water available so i don't have to trouble them for a refill. maybe they could find a maple flavored tea somewhere- i would try that.

great place for a huge biscuit worth the wait and price so many creative combinations and real good coffee. their questions of the day make it a great customer service experience. huge biscuits with so much flavor.

the five. i could have died and gone to heaven right there!!

the menu was posted on a large blackboard on the wall. so many choices. i was glad when the cashier took the time to explain some of the items and he told us his personal favorites. as soon as he pointed out the squawking goat i knew that's what i wanted. deep fried chicken with a patty of goat cheese smothered with house made pepper jelly. john ordered the blues biscuit. pulled pork topped with house made slaw and bbq sauce. just like memphis. i was thrown for a loop when the cashier asked for our favorite tv show. what? it seems that's how they call you when your food is ready. it took a few seconds to gather our thoughts and come up with "the big bang theory". the only tv show we watch together on a regular basis. it did give us something to talk about while we waited for our food. we should have said bonanza , have gun will travel or chips, bay watch or the vicar of dibley . something more original... our food came out pretty quickly. they called our tv show and john went to pick it up at the counter. the cashier helped him bring it to the table. hot and yummy looking. the squawking goat flaky biscuit, all natural fried chicken breast, fried goat cheese medallion and house made pepper jelly. i actually liked the biscuit. it was nice and brown on top and flaky insid

glad i finally tried this place. it took me a while to get around to trying this place because i don't really care for biscuits. i have to say that since trying the squawking goat i'm hooked. (deep fried chicken, goat cheese and home made pepper jelly on a biscuit) the biscuit was not doughy but nice and fluffy with a crunchy, brown top. the chicken was good but the pepper jelly was what set it apart. a little spicy and sweet. the place was clean and comfortable and the staff were all super friendly. we went on a saturday night and they weren't very busy. we got a complimentary pecan cinnamon biscuit for being first time customers. i'll go back again.

best restaurant every time. my favorite place to get breakfast. jerry from detroit is delusional when he says the food is bland. i always like "the squawking goat" which is chicken filet, goat cheese and pepper jelly piled on a delicious biscuit. what's bland about that? also, every time i go in to either location the staff is very nice and go out of their way to make sure you get something you like. food is always delish and the people are awesome!

after one visit. i can't say a whole lot about this place as a whole but what i can tell you is i had the "david's hashups" and an order of fried green tomatoes and both were awesome. the batter on the tomatoes was good and seasoned very well- not soggy like some places. also had about 4 coffee blends to choose from. i'll definitely be hitting this spot again next time i'm in the area.

worth the hype!. for those of you talking about how expensive it is, it is true. i spent around $13 for lunch, a little more than i usually want to spend. i'm cheap and i prefer to stay closer to $10. with that out of the way let's talk about the actual meal.

holy guacamole, the food is good!!!! i'm considered the foodie in my group, and this restaurant is one of the better ones i've been to in weeks maybe months. i highly, highly recommend it. i had the five and dime, and i almost licked the plate clean. the sausage gravy had just the right kick to it. i mean it's now my breakfast place of choice i think. no wonder they are spreading like wildfire, good food at a decent price, in a good atmosphere, what else can you ask for?

read the story on their home page about chelsea harrelson, it was a very heart warming story. i can't say i had much interaction with the staff one way or the other, but i think that story tells it all.

i will *definitely* be back, even if i have to save for it.

they are limited and do not know how to expand their restaurant product. it's chicken,only.
no maple syrup on the tables, hash ??,what ever, is bland and could be great , onion, mushrooms bacon drippings in a fry pan,yes! !

best food and service ever!. the portions are huge and the food is amazing. i couldn't even finish my hashups because my biscuit was so filling. not only did the food exceed my expectations, the staff was super friendly and even brought us a complimentary dessert for it being our first time there. hands down best experience i've ever had at a restaurant . i wish i could like this multiple times. p.s. we need one of these in south carolina.
