dimsumin the eastside. my hubby and i both like going to chinatown for dim sum, so discovering macky's dimsumright in our "backyard" makes catering to our dimsumhankering easier. for us, issaquah is a more convenient drive than the id. the people at macky's are polite and the dimsumdishes are really decent. if you like tofu, definitely give the salt-and-pepper tofu a try.

do not be fooled by the old restaurant reviews. mackys dimsumis a place my girlfriend found through urbanspoon when we were craving dimsumbut didn't want to drive too far away from home.
we weren't sure it was the right address, since it was at the back of a parking lot. we gave it a try, and we sure are glad we did. the people who work there are very friendly, like a big family that makes you feel at home when you walk in.
the menu isn't crazy long, but once you hit it off with the servers, they will cool you anything you ask. it is my girlfriend and my favorite restaurant to go to on either a weekday or weekend, we've brought many friends here who also went back several times.
the food is of an amazing quality, especially when compared to other random dimsumplaces around bellevue, the people who work there are as friendly as they come, the place is nicely decorated and there isn't any pressure or bad vibes. what more can you ask from a restaurant?

great quick and dependable food. we love macky's. it's local, reasonable, quick, and tasty. the staff are always welcoming, and although the menu isn't that extensive, you can't beat it for dependability. we went to a dimsumplace in factoria that was recommended--waited over an hour, and the food was atrocious! greasy and inedible, and much more expensive. we will not stray again!

best dimsumin puget sound!. i lived in seattle for 20 years, and i've had my share of good, bad, and mediocre dim sum. macky's is truly outstanding. the food is fast, fresh, and incredibly tasty. restaurant is very clean, staff are courteous, and the atmosphere is family-friendly. the steamed pork buns and honeyed cashew prawns are out of this world! great value and hidden gem of issaquah.

mackey's for dinner. we have eaten dinner numerous times at mackey's (albiet usually rather late in the evening) and have always found the service to be friendly, prompt and helpful. the tasty dimsumdishes are nicely priced so that a dinner for two can be fun and easy on the wallet too.
they will leave the msg out if you request it or let you know which dishes not to order.
our teenagers have come to love the place and have also returned with their friends in tow. the atmosphere leaves a little bit to be desired...not bad-- just not too cozy. overall i would definitely recommend trying it and do ask the waiter for the house suggestions. we found it to have some of the best flavors in town especially if you enjoy asian cuisine.

great little eastside restaurant. macky's used to be relatively unknown up until the seattle times wrote an article about them in october '10. they are now pretty busy and there is sometimes a wait. it is worth it though. the food is fresh and varied. they owners and staff are very friendly and get to know you are a regular very quickly. so glad there is now a dimsumplace on the eastside that has good food. thanks macky!

came for the first time, excited about a dimsumplace finally in issaquah, but was dissapointed. little dimsumplace, not a big selection. food here was only average and expensive.. waiters were all very pushy putting stuff on our table and placing two orders without notifying us.

nice and small dimsumjoint. but if you are looking for good dim sum. this would not be the place. huge difference from other dimsumplace in the greater seattle area. also much more expensive. the taste is mediocre. the waitresses try too hard to get you to eat something you don't want. i would suggest jade garden in chinatown or even top gun in bellevue for the same price buy better food.

tasty and always friendly. we return to macky's for lunch time dimsumon, at least, once a month basis. the menu (for lunch and dinner) is always improving and the taste of dimsumnever dissapoints. it, at minimum, equals, and we believe, surpasses any dimsumoffered in the international district.
and the service! it is always friendly, casual and most comfortable atmosphere i have ever seen in a restaurant. it's almost like ... chinese version of "mom's cafe."

we loved it!. thrilled to find out that there is now a dimsumresturant in issaquah, we went for a saturday lunch. first of all the service was fantastic - very friendly, funny and personal. while the menu was not as vast as you might find in the international district in seattle, everything we had was done perfectly and well priced. the bbq pork is lovely and you must try the shanghai soup dumplings. we will definitely be returning!
