our first experience was great. we called ahead to add our name to the wait list when we were on our way. ourtablewas ready when we arrived. our waiter was great, he helped us figure out what to order. one meal was ordered without mushrooms and it came with them anyway, i picked them off but could have easily sent it back if i was a picky eater. as the waiter poured our oil for our bread there was a tiny speck in the oil, without missing a beat he took that plate away and got us a new one and a new bottle of oil. this is not the service you would find just anywhere! we ordered a bottle of wine, appetizer, salad and 2 entrees all for less than 60 dollars. plus we had food left over to take home. the quality was amazing, we loved everything from the house salad dressing to the pasta and chicken. great place!

we have eaten at lucianos many times.have always gotten excellent food and service. one time had an issue but they took care of that and i don't hesitate to highly reccomend this wonderful resturant.

awsome food. we took friends here for their 50th anniversary. we all agreed the food was awsome and the waiter was superb as well. when it came time for dessert we men had dessert and the wives wanted coffee. we had finished our desserts when the freshly brewed coffee (was really good according to wives) was served and before they had a chance t drink the coffee we were being asked to give up ourtableby the hostess. we left. i felt like we were rushed out and should have been comped ether a discount on our next visit or maybe a free appetizer for the rush job. i will call and see. as i said the food and waiter were awsome.tablemanagement and scheduling left something to be desired. just wanted to add that i called the manager and he made it right with us. we will keep lucianos on our favorite italian resturant list.

love the food. unfortunately we had a add bad experience recently and likely won't return. we've been to luciano's several times have recommended several friends.
we called ahead because it was a weekend night and we had a party of 5 people. the person on the phone told us they just had atablebecome available and they would hold thetablefor us. we jumped
in the car and headed over (15 minutes) only to find that they had given ourtableaway and it would be a 60 minute wait.
we had hungry kids and had to quickly come up with an alternative.

luciano's is the absolute best!!!. the boise bench hit the deliciousness jackpot when luciano's opened up not too long ago! i have dined there too many times to count and when we are planning to go out to eat there is nowhere else i want to go which is why i am writing my very first review. the staff is always genuine and welcoming and most everything on the menu(but the pasta i believe) is made in house. the warm rosemarytablebread with it's crispy, salty crust is heavenly. the lobster bisque is incomparable and the salads are always super fresh with house made dressings (my favorite is the basil vinaigrette.) the sesame seared ahi is usually our appetizer of choice and is always done perfectly. we have tried many entrees from sandwiches (pesto=yum) to pastas (quatro fromaggio, need i say more) to pizzas(vito & corleone) and specials and they have all been close your eyes and savor the flavor delectability. as for dessert, i will seriously mount up on the housemade chocolate cake!! on one recent visit i commented upon leaving, "i don't want to eat any other food." not kidding. oh yeah, and the menu prices are more than reasonable. please don't ever change luciano's and please don't ever leave us!

i tried this restaurant for the first time yesterday. the food was spectacular! i had their special which was a four cheese penne with a crunchy bread crumb type topping, green onion, chicken and bacon. the spinach artichoke dip was probably the best that i can recall having. thetablebread was delicious, they use a balsamic and oil as their dip, if you don't like vinegar taste i suggest not having them use the balsamic. our service was perfect. for not actually noticing any other servers, this guy was on the ball. we had to ask once for more ice because ours was melting too fast, he didn't make us ask again, just took care of it until we were done then took the time to box up our food for us.

i was thoroughly impressed by the prices (i heard it was expensive when it's reasonably priced for italian), for my daughter, significant other and myself, it was 47$. that includes two seasonal beers.

i created this account because of this restaurant. if you're local, at least give it a try, i imagine you'd be impressed too.

highly recommended!. we decided to try luciano's friday night and were pleasantly surprised and very impressed. the atmosphere was nice and comfortable and the food was fabulous with good portion sizes. along with the great food we had a great waiter, he was attentive, courteous, and brought us everything we needed in a timely manor regardless of how busy he was. it's obvious that other people have found this great restaurant on orchard because while we were there the place filled up everytableand there was still a line of people waiting to be seated. i suggest getting there early, i didn't see that they took reservations. i will definitely be returning to luciano's and now consider it one of my favorite italian restaurants in boise!!

sorry, not going back. my partner and i ate at luciano's last night, an early valentines dinner. in short the food was good, but the room was extremely loud.
i do not have hearing difficulties, but i had trouble hearing my partner throughout the meal because of the volume. we had to ask the waitress to repeat herself several times.
thetablebehind us appeared to have been over-served and was about 3 decimals below shouting, one woman in particular. the hostess obviously knew these people, returned to theirtable3 or 4 times, and seemed to encourage their wine-induced volume, oblivious to how it effected other people. so much for valentines dinner.

ps. i am not one of those snooty people who goes to restaurants and complains about everything.

not thrilled. always hoping for a restaurant that serves good italian food, and from reading the reviews, thought this might be it. not the case. starting with the visual appeal, i liked the dim bar area, but straight ahead is the kitchen with bright florescent lights, with only swinging saloon type doors that do nothing to block them. then, the dining room, too bright for us. sat in a booth, and have never seen a bigger space between the booth and the table. in order to eat, you have to sit on the edge of the seat. as for the food, the antipasto appetizer was very good. beyond that, not so much. thetablebread is rosemary flavored--why? the spaghetti and meatballs were very disappointing. i did not like the marinara sauce and the meatballs had pepper in them! we are not pepper people and would have appreciated knowing that up front. ordered lasagna, but they were out of it. went for the carbonara, and that had a very soupy sauce. from what the waiter told us, "everyone" loves both, so no chance of change. service was good, but i see no reason to go back.
