heartburn city. thought we'd trylucianoslast night since they are a relatively new restaurant in town. they did a very nice job with the decor. the food, however, left a little to be desired. given our group size i was able to sample five different entrées. overall, the flavor of each was okay: not great, not terrible. there was one exception. i'll get to that later. each of the entrées was very fatty. they seem to use a heavy hand with the cream, butter, cheese, and other oils. a bit too much for this reviewer. i am not sure where they are going with their italian food, but it is very americanized. fine if you are into that sort of food. stay away from the pizza. we ordered the margherita. nothing was right about it. the crust was too thick (and it appeared to be pre-fab, it was a little too perfectly round with very uniform thickness). also, there was way too much garlic (yes, there is such thing as too much garlic) and they cooked the fresh basil on the pizza. if you want real italian pizza, go to tony's. later that evening, most of us got heartburn. nothing a tums couldn't cure. the service was okay. our waiter tried, but he appeared new. he kept forgetting things. we were very excited about the prospects of a new italian restaurant in boise. unfortunately, this was not it.
