lucianos italian restaurant

phenomenal!!. most importantly, the food is absolutely amazing! i've been here several times with my family and we've loved every dish we've had! the prices are reasonable and the staff is courteous. it can get very busy so try to go early!

great service and good appetizers. the main dishes were a little disappointing though. i would not recommend the carbonara.

my wife, grandson and i went to luciano's (one of our favorites) for dinner the evening. the veal saltimbocca was the special and i ordered it. i love saltimbocca and this was the best i've ever had. a little piece of heaven.

thank you luciano's! the staff and servers are very attentive, the food is delicious, their blue cheese salad dressing is wonderful. it is a busy place so plan to wait, call ahead, or arrive before primary dining hours. highly recommend!

i will admit i was disappointed. i was overhyped by reviews and recommendations. i guess i expected too much. we started with the appetizers of caprese and salmon crostini. they were pretty good. the caesar salad, also good. then the dinner came: average at best. i had the seafood risotto. okay at best. overall, with atmosphere and service included, was an above average experience.

i do not give 5 easily. but luciano's has hit the nail on the head every time. as i try to explain the experience all i can do is tumble into gibberish as i try to ramble on about how wonderful this restaurant is. food 5, service 5, atmosphere 4, bit crowded but the chef is great and he delivers, enough said.

do you ever want some authentic italian food and not americanized like the food offered by olive garden? if so, this is your place. the food is amazing, the staff is awesome, and the wine lost extensive. the staff is very knowledgeable about each dish and can ensure you get the best dish. the restaurant has some tight seating and this is my only complaint. enjoy.

i've been to luciano's a few times. they serve reasonable italian foods, but heavily americanized. the internal decoration is good. the staff are friendly. i may come back some time later. however, compared to other italian restaurants in town, this is an ok place. i see big opportunities in improvements in food quality and flavor, if they really want the restaurant standing out strong rather than just hanging on out there.

i searched the boise area on zomato looking for someplace new for us to go to dinner tonight. having lived in sicily for 2.5 years when i was a teenager, i was excited about the possibility of having good italian food again. our server, stefan, was exceptionally good at his job. he was attentive, and a very gracious host. not only was the food excellent, the portions were enormous. this is something to keep in mind when you go there. plan on either taking at least half of it home with you, or sharing a single entrée with someone else at the table. among the three of us, we had salmon with pasta, shrimp and chicken with pasta, and veal with polenta. all were delicious. it blue cheese vinaigrette on the house salad was particularly delightful. the four layer chocolate cake with dark chocolate ganache icing was the perfect way to top off our meal (and it took all three of us to eat it). i highly recommend luciano's.

excellent italian food. inviting atmosphere in the building, with a very friendly bar as soon as you walk in. bartender was friendly and fairly knowledgeable. very tasty spinach and artichoke dip for an app. chicken parm was pretty much spot on. flavorful red gravy, nicely cooked chicken breast, pasta was cooked well. all in all a very great italian experience. its a place where you can get all of the general classic delicious italian favorites done simply and correctly. we plan on being back very often.

two and a half years.  that's how long it took me to make it to luciano's.  why?  because nobody wanted to freaking go with me.  every time i'd mention it to someone when trying to make dinner plans, it was invariably rejected because either the prices were higher than everyone else wanted to pay, or they were nervous about trying a new place.  i actually understand that latter one, as my experiences with italian eateries have been more miss than hit, and most often i'd rather just cook my own italian food.  still, i'm a firm believer that people wanting cheap italian food is what keeps abominations like olive garden in business, and i wasn't about to try an italian joint alone because...well, because it just seemed depressing.  blame all the stereotypes of big families, groups of friends, and romantic evenings at italian restaurants.  well, eventually i decided 2.5 years was long enough spent trying to convince any of my usual suspects, so i recruited a fellow culinary enthusiast from among my facebook friends and headed for the bench.

i have been here three times for business lunches and have never come away with even a meh. always disappointing. i truly don't understand why there's a fuss over the food. one star chain outlets could put a faster and better meal in front of you. service is super sub par every time. would never go here as a choice.

great food. great wine. great service. great time. all the above, but needs more parking.
