big disappointment. if you want good mexican food, this is definately not the place. my first time and really thought i would be happy and satisfied. first, the salsa was more pureed than real mexican salsa should normally be. second, i ordered chili colorado and the red chili had a weird taste and themeatwas cheap gristle meat! i picked out a few pieces ofmeatwhich was very little, and the mashed beans taste like it was outta the can! although, the owner was friendly even after i told him that i grew up in new mexico where "real" mexican food was made he wasn't so friendly after i made comments after the meal because he stopped over to our table and asked so i told him. if you want good mexican food i have found that "el torro" in zelionople is good and "guiterrez mexican food" in butler, pa. is excellent! well worth the drive! unfortunately, i will not be back to this particular establishment. i will keep trying out new places for good mexican food which i love and miss. good luck!

times change. the first time i went to los cabos was when it first opened and it was great, nice quality food, good service. as time went on the food slowly changed, got cheaper more greasy. themeatis terrible if its not too greasy its too dry. the steak is so bad it has hard pieces of driedmeatand so much vile fat in it. most of the time i have went there it was terribly understaffed, the young man(i believe his name was geremy) that was serving friday night was vary nicely dressed and very kind and helpful. but he was the only one serving food i felt bad/uncomfortable eating there because of it. los cabos seriously needs the invest on some bettermeatand stop serving the cheapest stuff they can find. the salsa will always be the best the best tho.

steer clear from the pollo asado. i heard from a friend that this is the place for mexican in pittsburgh. i really like mexican food, and was excited to try los cabos. maybe my expectations were too high. first, my chips were stale, and i asked the waitress to bring me different ones, but the next batch was the same... stale and chewy. it also took forever to get my food, since the place was busy for lunch. i ordered the pollo asado quesadilla, and it was disgusting. themeatwas dry and flavorless, and there were even some burnt parts that were impossible to bite into. the tortilla was burnt, and there was not enough cheese. the pico de gallo was runny, but pretty tasty, and the guac was brown and runny. i told my friend about my experience, and she said to try the fish tacos or a vegetarian item. my advise? stay far far away from the pollo asado.

true socal mexican!. finally a place that actually tastes like baja mexican food! being born and raised in ca, i love good mexican food, but after moving here 2 years ago have been very disappointed in the heavy, bland tex mex offered here. the salsa has a kick, chips are freshly made, tortillas are soft and delicious, and the carne asada burrito had a great balance of guacamole, meatand pico de gallo. will definitely go there again!

first time=mediocre but would try again. i was not too impressed with my food. i ordered the carnitas burrito. the tortilla was hardened and difficult to cut through. the pork was very dry and contained some clumps of fat. there was also hardly any pico de gallo or guacamole on the burrito, though i did like the flavor of both.

i would go back (i think it's worth another try or two), but i would not order the carnitas burrito again. i'd probably try out some of the tacos, as a friend who ordered them was happy with her meal.

i would also avoid the steak meal, as themeatwas extremely tough, and my friend was not able to cut (or even bite through) it.

vegetarian options are good, meatis meh. the chile relleno burrito is awesome. the fact that they have horchata (rice milk with cinnamon - it's in that big jug on the left) is almost unheard of in this city. try it - it tempers the spiciness of the food. theirmeatseems to be not that great - either overcooked or too greasy. free chips and salsa, though.
