great mexican food. this place has a nice atmosphere, good service and great tortilla chips with hotsalsaand refried beans as a free starter. i had the cheese enchilada and beef taco combo and it was delicious. served with rice and beans, but slightly pricey.

one word. satisfaction!. everything thing was great! iced tea was fresh brewed with crisp clean taste. re steemy fried beans and chilled home-madesalsapicante to dip your hot crispy tortilla chips in. awesome margarita on the rocks! chicken chimi, chili rellano, taco, enchilada, and tostada were all excellent, freshly prepared with quality ingredients . the service was impeccable! as hard as i tried, i could never empty my glass before it was refilled again. the atmosphere was nice and friendly, clean, casual but upscale at the same time, and very inviting.

overpriced and overrated!

we ordered a seafood burrito and chicken chimichanga and had cadillac margaritas.

the seafood burrito was close to $19 and had about 5 small shrimp and a some sort of soggy filling. the chimichanga was 'average'.

the cadillac margarita was $9 and not large (16 oz?) nor anything special.

the chips andsalsawere standard fare and no variedsalsaoptions were offered. however, refills on these were shown on the menu as being $3.

the atmosphere was 'generic' and the service decent enough. but as for the actual food, it was like taking taco bell and adding a few extras and lots extra on the prices!

more than margaritas. the food here is outstanding. too many mexican restaurants get away with using cheap ingredients to make inferior food and people put up with it because they can wash it down with a decent margarita. not here. the margaritas are above average and the food stands on its own. the menu is extensive, going beyond the typical taco's, burrito's and enchilada's. i had a shrimp salad that was to die for. those with me had a good variety from the menu and all enjoyed thoroughly.
they even offered a habanerosalsathat satisfied the fireproofed mouths of a couple of our companions.

the service is truly gracious and outstanding.

i'll warn you - they have a mariachi band that is wonderfully talented but doesn't lend to a relaxing experience given their size vs. the enclosed restaurant.

very extensive menu. menu was pages and pages ... print difficult to read because of poor lighting ... wish i knew what to order ... a lot of things "exotic" to my taste, would have been willing to try if i had some guidance ... but didn't trust young waiter for recommendations ...

many many varieties of all types of meats prepared in all types of manners .. beef, chicken, pork, seafood ... the five different options for tongue and a couple of goat entrees intrigued me but not enough to take the chance and order them. i would definitely have liked a taste if my dining companion was more adventurous, but her leanings were as simple as mine.

what i ordered was a basic carne asada ... meat was tender but i looked for steak sauce to add some flavor ... they had none ... the waiter offered all different kinds of sauce options, but nothing like a worcestershire or a-1 ...

the restaurant was packed with lots of happy people, and there was a constant stream in-and-out ... it was okay .... but i guess my taste in mexican is more pedestrian. give me "on the border" or "el torito".

dinner was served with beans and rice ... and a cup of a tomato-based noodle soup. also included were tortilla chips and a couple of different dips ... asalsaand a hot bean dip.

the steak was large enough to take home for a second meal ... and the person who ate it there thought it was fantastic! my dining companion obviously thoroughly enjoyed her meal.

dinner for two including a mango-flavored margarita ran about $50 plus tip ...

after reading all of the other reviews, i would try it again and try one of the things i didn't have the nerve to order this time. lesson: read the reviews before visiting the restaurant.
