legends sports pub

fun place. so the last review on here was from over a yr ago so i thought i would put something on here. the servers are all really great, the food is good. funplaceall around.

the last straw for me.... i have been to legends many times. i have even hosted several game watching parties for my alumni club to watch football games here. legends has lost my business forever after today. they were the starting and ending point for the slc adventure race. we finished the race and another team we knew had some space at their table so we decided to have some drinks and food. thisplacehas known they were going to host this race for months, yet the waitresses had no clue what was going on, or why they were so busy. we waited 30 minutes for our first beers to arrive, and then waited over an hour for our food. our waitress kept blaming the wait on how busy the bar was, but when our food finally did come, everyone's meal was cold - i don't know how long it was sitting there for. they didn't even get everyone's meail right, and i found a long black hair in my salad to top off the experience. now, for this race we were told that we would get 10% off on our food at legends, and our waitress said she did not know about this and did not give it to us. we were so desperate to get out of there we didn't fight it for too long. after all of that waiting and cold food, we paid full price for it, and left upset. legends - all i can hope is that you either get your act together, or go out of business and let someone else try...

very dissapointed!. touted as a "sports bar", after our visit, i think not! my husband and i were in salt lake the last week of july 2011, we checked the net about sports bars in salt lake city, gave them a try by putting aside the "pissing contest" between the owner and the disatified customers over the $5. charges for the fights awhile back. thisplaceis not a sports bar. it's a restaurant with a few tv's and bland food! that's it. pricey and not worth the extra time it took us to get there from out hotel. there has to be much better sports bars in salt lake. anybody know of any? we are coming back again soon, will be staying at little america. would like info on sports bars within walking distance.

lunch time-our point of view. we have only an hour to enjoy our lunch, so if you have lots of time on your hands feel free to sit (did i say sit) awhile.
we have given thisplaceseveral do-over's thinking that some places just have their bad days.

10 mins to take your order, another 30 to receive your food. immediately asked for a box and the check. tried to enjoy a few bites then it was hurry out the door to be back to work in 10 mins.

oh did i mention that a table that ordered after us received their meal before us and the same server that we asked for the check immediately when the food landed on the table, gave the other "four" tables their check and lingered at one of the tables talking. we had to ask the cook for our check and boxes.

food was just alright in my book and i am not picky eater.

they are still in business so maybe there "later" hours are better staffed.

great funplacein slc!. i have been to legends a few times and have never received anything but great service. the food is good and there are lots of beer options. i generally sit at the bar and really enjoy the bartenders that work there. i've had great service and a few fun conversations. i definitely have recommended thisplaceand will continue to do so.

a while ago legends had a promotion where they were giving away free grizzly tickets to the first person to call their pub, i jumped on the opportunity and spoke with the owner (lisa) she was super friendly and she hooked me and my friends up with 12 tickets to the grizzly games. to show our appreciation, we ordered food and man was the food great! my friends agreed with how great the service and food was, even the waitresses would make regular rounds to get to know us. i've never been treated that great at a restaraunt/pub/grille before.

they were very friendly and i was impressed with the establishment! i read the reviews below about the whole $5.00 cover charge, come on people... you're watching a pay per view event, who cares if you aren't informed of a mesely $5.00 cover charge! lol. i hope people aren't running away from legends because someone can't afford a $5.00 bill! great work legends! i hope to visit yourplaceagain soon! - andy

"shame on you". well lisa, i feel i have been lied to. i was the one who called you, concerned about the negative story i heard about your pub. you told me, you and your daughter had apologized and i wanted to believe you. when i read your comments on this forum all i heard were excuses and commercials. i have read everything so far and i think the negatives are being easy on you. my review:
"horrible experience! worse ever!" was being fair with his account of the events, positives were where they were warranted, and the negatives in their place. "legend's", lisa the owner, your response to this review was shameful. your so called apology was underlined with excuses and back biting high school antics. especially the second to the last paragraph, you showed no class at all. true character is shown in times like this. at least your daughter was upfront with her comments and language, we do learn from our parents. business 101 "the costumer is always right." you are learning this the hard way i see, that's unfortunate. you would of been better off paying for the whole fight on your own. think of the incredible and invaluable publicity you would of received if you would of, could of, risen to the responsibility and owning up to your mistake and comping everyone that night, if needed be. shame on you.
"legend's is struggling," i applaud you and your comments. i felt nearly the exact same way, when i read the others. i love the way you can express yourself. i think it is fabulous that you would step up and make your comments known. "unbelievably dissatisfied," thank you for your input, it did add to the truth of what happened. "bree," in your comments not once did i read an apology to anyone. it doesn't sound like you have learned anything here, and instead it just sounds like you enjoy talking about yourself and being in a commercial. i know you are young and inexperienced but there are times you need to rise to the occasion. "use to be a customer," and "serious concerns," both, well put : ) dave, if you aren't one of the owners, in joey's defense, i thought you were also and it sounds like, through your comments, you don't seem to be a very nice person.
lisa, i also read your last comments. being an adult myself, my opinion is, you are the one not being the adult here. in joey's first review he asked you to contact him personally through his email and you chose not to. instead you made excuses, did commercials, lied and did some name calling yourself. most of all, don't break your arm patting yourself on the back. never did i read anywhere, a true, heart felt, apology to anyone, publicly or privately. again, shame on you !!!!!
i have had the opportunity to pass this story on several times and in every instance they have been appalled and wanted to make sure they had the name of theplacecorrect, so they wouldn't make the mistake of going there.

classiest of salt lake. love, love, love legends. what's there not to love? from the hd big screen tv's everywhere (not a bad seat in the house), to the newly remodeled bar. the dark wood everywhere and cleanliness is more of a scene from a upscale steak house, not that of a pub and grill, and the staff is charming and eager to help. and on top of all that, the food was excellent....even my fiance (picky) okayed it. would recommend thisplaceto anyone that's into good food, atmosphere and service...but only if you're into that kind of thing.

davonte is wrong. sorry mr. davonte but we didnt know there was a cover charge and you have no idea what went on in the back. we were never told there was a cover and if we were we would have paid it. they put it on our bill without our knowledge and we werent told about it. the argument was never about the $5 cover charge. its the fact that they slipped it onto our bill without telling us. i have had them put extra drinks on my bill and when i told them i hadn't ordered these drinks they took them right off. no big deal. its the principal. im not paying for a charge i dont know about and no i did not know about it. as for the owners of theplacei would love to bring in everyone and meet with you. i'd also like to hear why its ok to call us faggots and f*cking ***holes after the bills were already paid!!!! from your number one bar tender. who is also your daughter. she should be held to a higher standard since she represents the owners of the establishment. i understand people make mistakes but we were treated very unfairly. paying my bill, bringing people to watch the fights, spending alot of money, and then being called names and having the cops called on us. after we were all squared. i would love to get it resolved.

restaurant giving back!!. thisplaceis great!! i'm so so so proud to be a part of this establishment! one of the few places in town that has free pool, wii, fundraising events for rmr special needs hockey team. thank you for creating aplacewith values, commitment to youth sports teams, community, i could go on!! i highly suggest the mountain west burger, as proceeds are kicked back to special needs programs and individual players who need help in sponsorship in order to afford the high cost of youth sports teams. keep up the great work, and thank you for your hard work and effort and paying it forward! :)

great food. so i stumbled onto this site on my iphone, and im reading what joey and nate said. i was there in the back room with all my buddies getting checked out in the front. i can hear this table complaining about a 5 dollar cover charge. we knew we had to pay for a cover charge, and i know they knew too. i was glad to hear the bartender girl to stand here ground. if they didnt pay the 5 dollar cover charge, the wholeplacewouldnt have paid either. they wouldve bitch just like you girls. im goin back to legends cuz of the staff,food,the service, and the free pool. thank you legends for your time takin care of our table.
