legends sports pub

fun place. so the last review on here was from over a yr ago so i thought i would put something on here. the servers are all really great, the food is good. fun place all around.

i was pleasantly surprised to be surrounded by fellow patriots fans while i was here on a trip. bears fans were in another room and both crowds were polite and not too rowdy. the food was good and not too expensive.

food was better than average for a sports bar, service was of the typical cocktail waitress style, nothing noteworthy at all about this place.

not good-the bartender was nice enough to turn on my ball games but after that i was largely ignored due to the fact that he was preoccupied with hanging out with his female waitresses. there were only two people at the bar but the service was slow and begrudging. i ordered the tacos and a 'side of fries'-the tacos were ok. he brought me the basket of beer battered fries instead and charged me nearly $7 for it-when i got my check i told him nicely that i didn't order a $7 basket of fries, but rather the $3 side of fries on the back of the menu. without an apology or even one word, he practically threw me the difference out of the cash drawer and stormed away. i left him a 10% tip and a nice handwritten note expressing my slight displeasure at his subpar service. i just moved to the neighborhood but will try other nearby sports bars next time

the last straw for me.... i have been to legends many times. i have even hosted several game watching parties for my alumni club to watch football games here. legends has lost my business forever after today. they were the starting and ending point for the slc adventure race. we finished the race and another team we knew had some space at their table so we decided to have some drinks and food. this place has known they were going to host this race for months, yet the waitresses had no clue what was going on, or why they were so busy. we waited 30 minutes for our first beers to arrive, and then waited over an hour for our food. our waitress kept blaming the wait on how busy the bar was, but when our food finally did come, everyone's meal was cold - i don't know how long it was sitting there for. they didn't even get everyone's meail right, and i found a long black hair in my salad to top off the experience. now, for this race we were told that we would get 10% off on our food at legends, and our waitress said she did not know about this and did not give it to us. we were so desperate to get out of there we didn't fight it for too long. after all of that waiting and cold food, we paid full price for it, and left upset. legends - all i can hope is that you either get your act together, or go out of business and let someone else try...

i have eaten at legends plenty of times and each time has been a great experience. people are super friendly and the menu has a wide variety for all your taste buds. i like stopping there on my way to see a flick next door!!! like!!

very dissapointed!. touted as a "sports bar", after our visit, i think not! my husband and i were in salt lake the last week of july 2011, we checked the net about sports bars in salt lake city, gave them a try by putting aside the "pissing contest" between the owner and the disatified customers over the $5. charges for the fights awhile back. this place is not a sports bar. it's a restaurant with a few tv's and bland food! that's it. pricey and not worth the extra time it took us to get there from out hotel. there has to be much better sports bars in salt lake. anybody know of any? we are coming back again soon, will be staying at little america. would like info on sports bars within walking distance.

try the ahi nachos. service can be slow but food is good.

lunch time-our point of view. we have only an hour to enjoy our lunch, so if you have lots of time on your hands feel free to sit (did i say sit) awhile.
we have given this place several do-over's thinking that some places just have their bad days.

10 mins to take your order, another 30 to receive your food. immediately asked for a box and the check. tried to enjoy a few bites then it was hurry out the door to be back to work in 10 mins.

oh did i mention that a table that ordered after us received their meal before us and the same server that we asked for the check immediately when the food landed on the table, gave the other "four" tables their check and lingered at one of the tables talking. we had to ask the cook for our check and boxes.

food was just alright in my book and i am not picky eater.

they are still in business so maybe there "later" hours are better staffed.

thanks!. thanks for the heads up on legends. i am flying in tomorrow on business and was planning on taking my clients (9 ppl) there for dinner and drinks and now i think it would be better for me to try a different place. i would be mortified if i was trying to "wine and dine" my clients and their "best" bartender treated even one person in my party with that level of disrespect. thanks for saving my night!!

don't bother... this was one of the worst dining experiences my wife and i have ever had. although the service was prompt and friendly, the food was absolutely awful. my burger bore no resemblance to what was described on the menu. my wife's fish and chips were straight out of the frozen food department. the sweet potato fries were burnt to a crisp, all in all - inedible. go there only to watch tv. out of the twenty or so meals we have eaten while visiting salt lake city many times, this has to rate as the worst - easily. shame on you legends for providing such a poor effort with such simple menu items.

great fun place in slc!. i have been to legends a few times and have never received anything but great service. the food is good and there are lots of beer options. i generally sit at the bar and really enjoy the bartenders that work there. i've had great service and a few fun conversations. i definitely have recommended this place and will continue to do so.

great place!!!!. i have read all of the reviews posted here and i have no problem throwing in my two cents worth. i have been to legends on multiple occasions from birthday parties to watching ufc fights and of course football . i am one who doesn't mince words..and i will absolutely say some of my best memories with my friends have gone on at legends and i love their food as well. (mmm..fries). i have had to priviledge of getting to meet with the owners as well as their daughter..and my server has historically been kim. in all of my interractions i thought they had been extrememly fair and thoughtful as to how they run their business. i would never hesitate going back..and although after reading the reviews on the page above..i hope everyone understands that no business has 100% satisfaction... but at least in my opinion.. they have worked damn hard to achieve that with me and my friends. best of luck to your business...and thanks again for all the good times yet to come.

a while ago legends had a promotion where they were giving away free grizzly tickets to the first person to call their pub, i jumped on the opportunity and spoke with the owner (lisa) she was super friendly and she hooked me and my friends up with 12 tickets to the grizzly games. to show our appreciation, we ordered food and man was the food great! my friends agreed with how great the service and food was, even the waitresses would make regular rounds to get to know us. i've never been treated that great at a restaraunt/pub/grille before.

they were very friendly and i was impressed with the establishment! i read the reviews below about the whole $5.00 cover charge, come on people... you're watching a pay per view event, who cares if you aren't informed of a mesely $5.00 cover charge! lol. i hope people aren't running away from legends because someone can't afford a $5.00 bill! great work legends! i hope to visit your place again soon! - andy

good food. i went for lunch with a group from a convention at the hotel nearby. there were 3 groups with a total of 25 people all with separate checks. the menu is huge. that concerned me. i wondered if they were really going to be able to prepare all that variety. the food was excellent and we opted to have lunch thre again the next day. we had the green burrito, green chile quesadilla, several different salads, club sandwich and many more. everyone was pleased. also good sized portions.
