delicious. please ignore terry baratta as this particular reviewer appears to be from a small town in western canada. i'm sure where she's from, people have yet to develop taste buds. claiming that tim hortons is a better choice than leche is a joke and her entitlement is rampant as whines about their prices and unsuitable paper bags.

the place is great. the donuts are fantastic. been to a number of gourmet donut places as they've popped up and become more popular and i have to say leche is at the top of the list. heading there this weekend and hope fans of tim hortons stick to their watery coffee and frozen and refrozen dough cakes and stay far away from this shop.

must eat!. i can't say enough about how much i love léché!!!! no one is perfect but for a business that hasn't been opened for even 6 months, i say bravo! so the odd person that gives this a bad review...i say try again! the fact that the owner isn't even 30 and has the courage to support young women and is so talented, we should all support leche and small businesses like it!!! bravo girl! keep up the great work!

-----27 feb, 2013-----

i want more!. i kept hearing about léché from my team mates, and finally made it! really really happy that i did, everything from their food to their donuts! after reading some of the reviews, i couldn't help but right a wrong and disagree with some of what the "foodie tales" guy said about the apple donut! i looooved it and so did my friend, so he should defiantly try it again! anyways, i had to say it. great food, super sweet girls and loved the design!!!! pink and lime green...my fave! xoxo

fresh, delicious donuts and good lunch options as well. parking is a little tricky at times, so give enough time to circle around or park a bit further and walk.

j'ai décidé d'écrire une critique plus récente pour léché desserts! l'ancienne datait de 2013!

« can't go back to regular donuts! you cannot hate this place. it is pretty, the owner is very kind and the donuts are amazing! the peanut and jam is a winner, and i've never been crazy about that combo. i also loved the white chocolate one, and the donut with coconut-lime (no filling). :) »

delicious! i had the raspberry filled donut, sugar- coated. so fresh and tasty. it actually tasted exactly like italian ciambelle you get in italy. was not too sweet, just perfect. the cheesecake donut is also delicious! go in the morning to have more choice. top place!

i never liked donuts, but when i first had their donuts, i'm hooked. their donuts are moist, and chewy. i strongly recommend the pistachio flavor! it's so by far my favorite. really strong in the pistachio taste.

impressed. been there a handful of times now and tried different items each time - amazing. their sandwiches & iced coffee beverages are as good as their donuts. *must-try donuts: coconut-lime, cheesecake, boston cream or dulce de leche.
*tip: go early so you get your pick of donut flavors.

so last time when mr.butter suprised with leche desserts donuts, the pistachio donut was missing. mr.butter surprised me again by bringing me to the physical location. i was clueless and caught off guard because the neighborhood for such a donut shop was unusual and even bewildered me. i was animated by the unmistakable leche desserts signage. the space was mostly occupied by the kitchen, where the magical birth of donuts happens. at the sight of the pistachio donuts being displayed and more importantly, available, i was overjoyed. oh, cheesecake donuts? some of these as well please! a quick order and we were out. we couldn’t wait to get out and taste them!

i always thought you can never go wrong with a donut but after trying léché desserts i realized i've been eating bad donuts all my life. you seriously can taste the love and skills they put into making these donuts. i tried the chocolate brownie donut and also the tiramisu donut (i'm not sure if the tiramisu is a part of their regular menu but i like to think i was special enough for it to be made that day :]). definitely will go back next time i'm in montreal!

march 12, 2015 / by zuuchini / in food , montreal , restaurant review / post comment as a kid, my first doughnut was from dunkin donuts. then, they disappeared from the montreal scene. afterwards, i had my doughnuts either at tim hortons or krispy kreme. but neither of them gave the same sensation as leche desserts. once you have leche desserts donughts, you just can’t go back to ordinary ones. leche desserts make many unique flavors. i was sad that pistachio wasn’t available. there shall be another time! regardless of the flavors, what’s remarkable about their donuts is the texture of the fried dough. think of a edible fluffy pillow, not too fluffy where it cannot support the weight of the head. firm but comforting, it allows the head to sink in a bit. some flavors were better than others, my favorite one from this batch was coconut and lime (or the passion fruit one). the sweetness is just right. i would eat a whole without finding it sweet and can easily have a second one. even my mom who is incredibly sensitive to sugar and very discipline with calorie intake enjoyed these doughnuts and couldn’t stop herself to have a second serving! i’m so glad leche desserts isn’t that accessible to me, or i’ll be stuffing my face with doughnuts during this tax season. zuuchini share this: facebook twitter email

oh my goodness. that's all i can say about the donuts. i love lemon meringue pies and unfortunately, the donut wasn't as good as i hoped but the bailey's was heavenly. i could have one any time of the day. (more than one i'd say) they have flavours such as white chocolate mousse, pistachio, cinnamon sugar, lime coconut, milk chocolate mousse, maple glazed, jelly filled, boston cream, pb&j, lemon meringue, apple crumble and pecan caramel.

underwhelmed. after all the hype and amazing reviews, i couldn't believe that i had not tried these yet! so we headed down there yesterday for what we assumed would be an adventure for our taste buds. what we found was some dry deep fried bread with somewhat flavourless fancy toppings.

we purchased a dozen varied doughnuts at a slightly obscene price and thought nothing of it as we often over spend on amazingly delicious desserts. unfortunately these did not live up to our expectations.

bottom line, if you want the best doughnut in town look for the wawel sign in the window of your local european bakery. remember to go early as the plum (the best filling ever) runs out first.

love!!!!!. this place is amazing. the two sandwiches i've tried so far were both really good.. their doughnuts are just as incredible. and i usually don't really like doughnuts. they are a little pricey (compared to a place like tim horton's) but the quality makes it so worth it!! i will never get a doughnut anywhere else! 5 stars! :)
