excellente adresse. personnel hyper sympathique et attentionné. notre serveur avait vraiment une personnalité du tonnerre et connaissait très bien la carte des vins.

côté plats, on n'est certainement pas déçu. plusieurs plats de poissons et fruits de mer. mélange de saveurs très intéressants.

prix plus doux quelechasse et pêche mais les 2 endroits ne se comparent pas.

décor noir moderne intéressant.

coming back is a must, then you know the dining experience was great, and so it was. i could discourse on the originality and presentation of the dishes but it is also the ambiance and those added complements often absent at some restaurants that made the evening
enjoyable. do trust staff on wine pairing. leave your
wine preferences for another day and trust staff on
pairing. they are knowledgeable and you will discover new labels. ask for the house cocktail
la piscine. it is the hottest drink in paris at this time.

il me semble que dans ma mémoire c était super bon il y a quelques années. j y suis retournée hier... service excellent et serveur super aussi. mais la nourriture ....letartare de thon qui goûtaitlesucre comme si l on avait échapperlepot de sucre ... la pieuvre très ordinaire pas tendre comme onlevoit ailleurs ... les huîtres excellentes par contre ..bref déception. je ne sais pas si ils ont changés de chef mais bref peut être pour cela que ce n était pas du tout plein un jeudi soir.

are you kidding me???. having lived in montreal for the last 40 years and considering that i am the biggest foodie and restaurant recommender of all my friends, i am embarassed that it took me so long to try out this jewel of a place. from start to finish, we were treated with such attention and gracious servers, water filled every time the glass was almost empty, after each course the staff asked us how we liked each dish. very impressive. the food?? omg, every mouthful is an explosion of flavours, primarily seafood driven, so intricate i really cant tell you the specifics of each plate except that each one (of 6 different plates we tried) was just as good if not better than the previous one. deserts to die for. am i a fan? absolutely. will i return? you can bet your sweet foodie i will!! the owner, graciously greeted us when we arrived, presented himself and was at the door when we left to say goodnight and ask us if everything was to our satisfaction. on 10? i give it a 20! bravolefilet! i will be coming back again and again. if you have never been, prepare yourself to be in heaven for a few hours!

still great. went back tolefilet after not eating there for over a year. we were looking for somewhere good to go last minute on thursday. we had called chase et peche and they had a table ready, but as my friends have never triedlefilet we opted to go there. called at 830 and by 910 pm they had a table for us. we ordered many dishes from the 3 sections, our favourites were the tuna tartar, hamachi, tandoori style octopus and garnished oysters.
the arctic char and red snapper were perfectly cooked. our only dissapointments were the lobster pasta with peas and foie gras with liver cheek pasta. we probably shouldn't have ordered the pasta dishes as we ordered so much of everything else. the 2 bottles of wine were good and the service was impeccable. our waitress had moved us to a bigger table as she saw how much we were ordering. great food, great service and great times. total damage for 5 people was 600 tax in. had we not ordered the 3 pastas which were practically left untouched the bill would have been closer to 500. looking forward to going back soon.

food, service, and atmosphere. all 3 were present upon my visit tolefilet . food - exquisite, service - impeccable, and décor - understated, yet sophisticated. though not new to the montreal restaurant scene,lefilet has definitely not lost its splendour.

on numerous friday mornings, diva #2 has often been found on diva #1’s couch after an infamous thursday night out. senior diva doesn’t enter diva #1’s apartment often, but she has learnt to avoid the place on friday mornings where she can find groups of girls hung over, drinking cappuccinos, and rushing because we are late for work. actually, senior diva also avoids the place on thursday nights when those same girls are tipsy, sipping cocktails, and rushing because we are late for dinner. the truth of the matter is that she is so used to diva #2, she is part of the family, which also means that she can yell at her and beat her like family.  therefore, it was only natural that diva #2 joined diva #1 and senior diva for a birthday dinner celebration atlefilet, albeit two months late.  of course the divas were late… all week, the divas drooled over the menu, deciding what we would order. 

very sad. i had originally countedlefilet on a list of my top 5 favourite restaurants in montreal. the place was hip, the food was amazing, the blondish waiter (he doubled as a musician i believe) gave the best service. we spent many weekday evenings at a table for two, or three - and when the weekends rolled around we brought family and friends from out of town, to enjoy - and see what they were missing out on! we truly truly enjoyedlefilet.
although the last few times, other then our actual waiter - the experience has been 'tres below par'. first, the hostess is not welcoming at all. she is rash, rude, and seems to have no memory of the restaurants regulars. in the past we were always met with a gentleman with a beard who was more then beautiful in the service, and feeling he gave to each client that entered the door. each meeting was met with a warm smile and handshake, and if there was a wait - he would be accommodating, and offer a drink at the bar.

our last visit has left such a horrible taste, that we will never return.

what a meal!. traveling to montreal for business,lefilet had been recommended to me by a local who was well aware thatlebernardin in manhattan is one of my favorite restaurants in the world. i eat there whenever i can afford it and never thought a restaurant could come close to their cuisine.lefilet has and in some instances, surpassed whatlebernardin has achieved in my humble opinion. in fact, i was last night, humbled by the cuisine atlefilet. standouts - lobster, scallop salad, and fluke. stunning. for the price, i can afford to fly there just to dine again. very reasonable. if i had one complaint it is the high level of noise. it was loud but it was crowded with high demand for tables. well worth a visit.

le filet is a serious restaurant. the hostess promptly checks your coat upon arrival, waiters thoughtfully recommend food and drink according to your preferences, and a 30-50 year-old crowd makes the place buzz. can’t wait to go back in summer and eat onlefilet’s lovely terrasse!

fully equipped with a small terrace for warmer days, the restaurant embodies haute cuisine in almost every way thanks to the careful attention to detail in the meticulous presentation of food, the well-trained servers and the overall decor of the place. walking in, you immediately notice the long bar, the open kitchen closer to the back and the mesmerizing three-dimensional photographs of seafood, illuminated by a backlight behind the bar. very cool. la piscine - champagne and campari we sat down to a pint of st. ambroise and one oflefilet's only cocktails, la piscine . made with campari, champagne and a hint of orange, it is satisfying as it remains rooted in classic cocktail territory and pleases the palate in a not overly sweet but bubbly way. flounder with japanese prune, wasabi and cucumberslefilet advocates a tapas style way of dining which suited us just fine. we like to shar

satisfactory. went tolefilet last week, great service attentive staff. the food? not overprices for what you get, but nothing really great considering the buzz i had been hearing. would i try it again? if only i was in the area. was not exactly super impressed that i would go out of my way.
again, i am a difficult client-so they say.

nicky. ambiance is warm and very "bistro". oysters with inividual toppings are excellent. the tuna tartar was "ok". a cope version oflepied de cochon but not so tasty. the fish with safran was 'ordinary" . all dishes were very well presented. the service was excellent except for the fact that when the waiter was yelling the menu to the table beside us and we could not hear anything but his yelling...... all in all, a nice experience, an adult crowd, and ok. the wine list is good and well presented.

hier soir, j'ai eu la chance de découvrirlefilet. c'estlenouveau resto des proprios du club chasse et pêche (confession : je n'y suis jamais allée, mais je corrige cette situation sous peu !). la grande amatrice de poissons et de fruits de mer en moi, tout comme celle qui rafolle de plats à partager fut très comblée ! ok, ce n'est pas donné. ok, on a déjà vu des plats plus accrocheurs… mais les huîtres… imbattables !lerisotto de homard et asperges ? j'en aurais mangé des pelletées ! même si ce n'était pas un "vrai" risotto. on s'en fiche, c'était sublime. en fait, c'était mon plat préféré. côté ambiance, c'est peut être un brin "m'as-tu-vu", comme dirais la belle blonde avec qui j'étais hier mais ça en vaut la peine à mon avis.leservice était un peu trop prompt - deux serveurs nous débarassaient des assiettes la secondes qu'on déposait nos ustensils.
