recently relocating to devonport from melbourne and was on the desperate search for a good coffee hit
compared to melbournes brunch scene this was average but good for devonport
cool vibe and standard breakfast options ,open for a good amount of hours so good to get a late brunch as well :)
coffee was okay and i ordered the salmon from the lunch menu which was nice

had brekki, was really nice but the hashbrowns were obviously just frozen ones from the supermarket which was highly disappointing. the poached eggs, spinach and breaks were lovely. more bread options would have been nice.. no gluten free bread. trendy little cafe, cool atmosphere and they do nice coffees. the waitress was lovely! :)

we were lucky enough to find laneway through urban spoon. suffice to say everything was a ten. i can also see why they don't need any signage, they appear to have all the business they can handle.

melbourne in devonport. it's always hard to find a coffee quite like melbourne coffee no matter where you are, however, this cafés drip is on point. delicious coffee, a beef burger with heaps of chips, a few onion rings as an extra, and great service. the food is suitably priced, certainly not disappointed in quantity. if you're looking for a place to relax and eat with friends, make your way to laneway.

stopped for breakfast after getting off the boat from melbourne. had the berry waffles, which were excellent. staff were friendly and the vibe in the place was cool. will be visiting again before i leave tassie.

kid friendly - high chair and toys.
amazing food. awesome bacon my husband says! i loved the muslie and coffee. lovely service.
funky atmosphere.

best coffee in devonport. ill never come through devonport without a breakfast here. excellent service, excellent produce, great menu.

visited the cafe twice, once on 20 december morning and again on 29 december evening. surprisingly different customer service and food on two days.

warm, friendly customer service and good food and coffee on the first visit. rude customer service by the coffee maker and very average coffee on the second day. the girl waiter on the second day tried to be nice, but overshadowed by the other guy.

don't wanna go there again.

on one chilly and cloudy saturday morning, a girl friend took me to laneway cafe in devonport for brunch. it was one of the top rated cafes on urbanspoon. a cute and colourful sign pointed the way to the cafe. the cafe was hidden in a little alleyway, much like many of melbourne’s top cafes. needless to say, i was quite expectant. loved the exterior and interior...

the best the nw coast has on offer. enjoys devonports best coffee or have a long lunch and enjoy the lamb wrap or the awesome salmon. very nice!
