landour
landour bakehouse is a place that’s obviously famous for being located in the vicinity of ruskin bond’s home. but make no mistake, it’s claim to fame lies in much more than that i.e., it’s stupendousfoodcreations and variety in patisserie is quite impressive along with their range of caffeinated drinks.

coming to thefooditems, we personally went for the good ol’ cappuccino and some savoury and sweet croissants! the savoury croissants were a pleasant surprise and all the fillings were fresh and the croissants themselves beautifully baked and succulent once you bite into them.

regarding the ambience, we’ll it’s a small place but has very cosy vibes and a beautiful mountain backdrop which can be witnessed through the glass wall! a bit crowded especially on weekends and holiday season - there might be minimal waiting in certain cases.

price wise, the place is not extremely pricey but would definitely fall in the mid-segment in terms of expenditure.

all in all, landour bakehouse is a must try to revel in the history of the place and enjoy perfectly baked goodies with your cup of coffee while taking in beautiful scenery!

quality offoodis good.we tried garlic cheese croissants, hot chocolate, rose and almond cake, peanut butter delicacies and chocolate cake.all tasty and fresh...though it is a very small place..we had to wait with our family in rain for more than 30 mins outside the cafe just to pickup the order..staff is rude or busy i can't say...we

a mediocre place that has probably garnered a lot of hype because of its picturesque location. however, thefoodis forgettable and the options aren’t many. my suggestion would be to avoid this place and rather head to chaar dukaan.

so this tops the list of most hyped in all of mussoorie, whilst is lives half to it’s name and has abundance of customers due to which they do not value there customers. so the property is old, rustic and chic with well done interiors.foodoptions are limited to mostly sweet savouries except a few croissants and toasties. the staff told us to wait 20-25 mins even though there were empty tables inside, after a small altercation to confront the same they let us in and were seated. we observed the same attitude towards fellow customers who had to wait despite a table or two being empty.

must try
choclate brownie
custarf cake
choclate crepe
chilli chicken toastie

while doing our research for before vising landour, we found this bakery mentioned almost everywhere. we visited this around lunch and it was pretty crowded. we shared our table with a solo traveler and tried a variety offooditems. we loved the chocolate croissant and junglee chicken crepe. peanut butter blondie was amazing too.

after a short hike up the hills to this spot in sister's bazaar, the cosy wooden interiors is very welcoming. i ordered bread pudding, carrot cake slice, cappuccino, packed peanut butter cookie and walnut pie.
out of these the ones i would recommend are the walnut pie and carrot cake minus the frosting. the subtle flavour of cinnamon in both pudding and carrot cake was great. however thefooditems itself can be much much better. it's a perfect ambience for spending some quality time and i look forward to improved taste on my next visit to musoorie.

wow !!! is the only word that comes to mind when i think of thefoodorgasm one experiences at this amazing quaint little bakery in landour. my suggestion, skip ellora in dehradun, skip char dukan in landour; turn up at this bakery with empty stomach and the appetite of a hungry tiger to devour all their goodies. we unfortunately were filled to brim & this got stuff packed. couple of chef choice cakes. but the one which was the best never to be missed is the coffee walnut cake. wish we had got more packed on way to jw marriot for our stay. also remember to buy any book written by the famed author ruskin bond which if you are lucky, you can get signed by the great author himself at his home on way back to mussorie. the preparation, variety, old world charm of the bakery all are a full 5. must visit !!!
