a nicerestaurantinside the grand mercure hotel. i went their with my office team and tried their lunch buffet. the food was delicious. the fish koliwada starters was very tasty. the butter chicken in main course was the best. the vegetarian dishes methi paneer and gobhi manchurian was okayish but the aloo gobhi sabji was very good. the assorted breads were not good and were hard. for desserts it was a mix of desi desserts like rasgulla, gulaab jamun along with mousse, tarts, pudding and ice creams. all in all a good experience. just the service to fill the buffet counters was a bit slow. we had to wait for several dishes after they were finished.

they claim that they are first 5 star hotel of mysore.but i suspect the standards are far from being 5 star.we went on a rainy day for la uppurestaurantand the floors were full of water and there was nobody to clear that untill we left for that evening.it was slippery and buffet they charge 900+taxes but no much items.only one soup and for starters i waited more than half an hourto get the starters and even curries and rotis are also not upto the mark.desserts also limited.service also not satisfactory.very limited staffs and lack of co-ordination.overall lot of improvements required when it comes to hospitality and it should be same for everyone.

the food served was delicious. we loved their seafood dishes and the south indian thali that was inspired by local flavours of karnataka. the breakfast is vast with many options from various cuisines and is the perfect start to the day. a special shoutout to therestaurantteam for their warmth and friendliness.

waste of time, energy and money. chef preparation is worst when it come to their thali menu and taste. well i had a bad time. better not to visit just pricyrestaurantwhere everything is low. only the ambience (sit out) was good. they give extra care for foreign guest and indian customer is next. in a way good, as our tradition say atithi devo bhava, but hello i too was atithi there..

la uppu, the all day diningrestaurantat grand mercure mysore has got lot of amazing national and international cuisine varieties. they have very good karnataka thali with local mysore flavors. the dessert selection is really good too. chef satya seelan excels in creating amazing dishes like nalli nihari in mysore style, papdi chicken and prawns too. would definitely recommend you to visit there for lunch or dinner even if you are not staying at grand mercure mysore.

we had been here last weekend. these days finding arestaurantwhere staff is polite and takes good care of the guests is rare. however, this is one such restaurants where waiters/staff really care about the guests. they are very polite and friendly. food is awesome. loved chicken tomyum soup and few other starters (both veg and non veg). they even gave complimentary sweets which were really amazing. place is well maintained and we opted for zomato gold. they were kind enough and knowledgeable enough to take the gold code and offer us a discount. food, ambience, staff - i rate 5/5.

they have live counters for pizzas and buffet😍.
the taste and ambience is awesome and definitely one will fall in love with it.

mysuru is a city which gives you a feel of heaven.in order to make the feel of heaven even more better, this is a perfectrestaurantfor you guys.really loved the service. buffet was amazing food was fantastic. staff is too friendly. hygiene is every aspect.price is a bit higher as it’s arestaurantof 5star hotel. an experience is a must in thisrestaurantand the hotel.

nice spaciousrestaurantwith indoor and outdoor seating... the place wasn't clean enough though.. we opted for the sunday brunch but the food options were limited.. the momo's and grilled chicken were the best amongst all the food served.... the desserts were mediocre and rasmalai being the saviour... service is extremely courteous and quick.. they had a live chats, grill and dosa counter... the buffet is on the pricier side for the quality and number of items served but 5 stars for the service.

what sets it apart is the friendly and courteous staff. gautam and pranov will go that extra mile to make you comfortable and enjoy the meal.

as it was our 5th engagement versary we were planning to celebrate our special day. we decided to go to grand mercure - la uppu restaurant.

we were extended a warm welcome by the staff and were guided towards dinning area. we chose a table outside the restaurant, next to the table there was kids playing area so kids can play n dine together
the ambience of therestaurantis very calm and elegant.
we opted for al- carte and ordered veg clear soup, the taste of the clear soup was good.

in starters, we ordered chicken satay and chilly paneer. chicken satay was served with peanut sauce. the taste of chicken satay was mild n good. chilly paneer was spicy and tasty.

for main course, we took roti, dal, chicken creamy sauce pasta and chicken fried rice.

in chicken creamy pasta, big chicken chunks in the pasta wasn't fresh. taste of pasta was just ok.

chicken fried rice was bit salty. informed the bearer about salty fried rice. bearer informed the head chef and chef got us a normal fried rice.
totally we enjoyed this restaurant.
