we had the western-style food for brunch on republic day: bacon, eggs, sautéed french beans, steamed tomato, hash browns, oats porridge, espresso. everything was cooked to perfection by superb chefs. the vegetables must have been specially sources, because they were exceptionally tasty. the tomato was topped with subtle, delicious herbs. the espresso was better than some of the espresso i've had in paris. i was very surprised by the taste of the food and the soft, quiet ambiance of la uppu. it was a better experience than i've had in many 5-star restaurants in bangalore and mysore.
