la bonne bouchee

worst experience i've ever had at a restaurant. i went out to lunch with my friend friday april 17th. we both ordered the chicken salad sandwich and about four bites into my sandwich i find a twist tie in my mouth from the bite i had just taken and when the server decided to come back over to ourtableat her own convenience mind you i asked her for the manager she replied with her being the manager i was immediately shocked because the service was horrible already so when i let her know what just happened she didn't apologize all she could say was well that's not good well of course that's not good i just pulled a twist tie out of my mouth so she offered me something else and i let her know i wanted absolutely nothing else from that establishment so she took my plate and left when she came back she had the nerve to hand me a bill i looked right at her and said so you're still charging me she was like yeah your tea...excuse me i just pulled a twist out of my mouth and you think that it's reasonable to still charge me for a drink i don't think that is the right thing to do at all i've been a server for 10 years and never treated a customer like that and quite honestly paying was not the issue whatsoever i had a gift certificate with me i had every intention of spending the entire thing while i was there but because of what had happened i didn't want to give this lady anything i ripped that gift certificate up and left and i didn't even mention the fact that me and my friend had to clean off our own chairs that were covered in dirt and she had to ask for a new plate and new silverware that were absolutely disgusting and the tea the lady decided that she needed to charge me for was in a dirty glass so i don't recommend this place to my worst enemy in my opinion this place deserves to be shut down immediately

great for killing time. you know how you go into a restaurant, and it seems like you are rushed in, rushed through, and rushed out? this was not the case with la bonne bouchee. i was a "forever alone"tableof one, and i spent about an hour and a half here. enjoying coffee, a croissant, and some quiche, i was killing time and nobody rushed me out of there. it was also a pleasant change because it wasn't noisy. i can't stand the loud talking and background music of chain restaurants. it is unsettling, especially while trying to eat. i would hide out in la bonne bouchee every morning, if i could. pleasant, great food, nice staff, and quiet setting.

about as french as fries. on a 5 star system
bakery = 4 stars
restaurant = 2 stars
service = 1 star
i just returned from yet another underwhelming trip to this establishment.
inevitably, they will seat you near the noisy kitchen regardless of the crowd unless you insist otherwise.
ordered the three cheese sun dried tomato quiche w/ house salad and house dressing on the side.
salad was your plain tossed salad with a uninteresting mustardy/ranch dressing (suspect bottled).
unfortunately, the waitress yet again brings the wrong entree (always a problem here), instead she delivers to mytablea seafood crepe. she tells me i ordered the crepe... rather than argue and wait for them to replace my quiche! i told her i would try the crepe.
one bite and done ... awful, mealy and off smelling with a wtf is that sauce.
waitress did not return to check on my progress for at least 10 minutes ... noticing i did not eat the "thing" on my plate, she offered me a quiche or desert to go.
did not offer to take it off my ticket or apologize for yet another mistake on her part.
never going back!
dined with my girlfriend who's meal was also wrong, but she is writing her own review so i won't comment on the "mess" they brought her.

even worse than you might ever think !. 12 of us had a reservation for 6:30 and we were all on time ,tablewas not .
we got seated after moving atabletogether and asking if we could have 2 more chairs , granted . the server took our drink order at 6:40 . we waited until 7: 15 for water and then she had the wrong drinks . she wanted to give us 2 drinks that had been set at the wrongtable. 10 more minutes and our drinks came . the bread was good but we ran out and asked for more . we
were told that it was not hertable. more bread did appear about 7:35 or 7:40
but no butter . we were now out of water and drinks . 4 salads did come , but
4 did not make it for at least another 10 minutes . we had gotten up 4 times and asked," what is going on ? " they were so busy , well not that we could we
could see . now we saw 2 tables of diners who came in well after us had their food . now it is almost 8:00 and no dinner . the last soup did come out , but not what was ordered , this was the only soup left .
i went to the men's room which is on a path that takes you into the kitchen and almost into the storage room . the kitchen counters had purses and shopping bags plus coats on the counter where someone was still working .
the men's room was dirty and out of towels , just kleenex .
at 8:10 we said we were leaving , one member of our party said don't go , ,
our food is sitting up there under the lamps right now . well some of it might have been but there were not 12 plates there . now at this time there were only 2 other tables and they were getting wonderful service .
i got up and asked a second time to see the manager , i waited and a young woman said she had no idea that there was any problem . we had complained 6 times at this point and she did offer to even go help get the food out . there were 8 retired veterans at thattableand i feel that they needed better service and care than we got . finally 8:22 , food on thetable, some , ,
cold , , , and some not worth any wait, , , and 5 were called good .
no discount was offered , no free anything and no real concern except that
they would be closing in a little soon

yes with service like this they will be closing soon ,

we visited the first time since renovations. the atmosphere is ruined, thetableplacement is terrible- waitresses squeezing between tables- and the staff looks miserable. the hostess openly refused the people in front of us to not sit at atablein the waitress' path. there was another just a few feet away. she say us there. most importantly - our food was overcooked and served on plates that were so hot my husband got a blister on his hand from touching his. we will not be back.

terrible service. we were atableof six (therefore, automatically added tip), and the service was surly at best and disconnected at least. there was not a 'lead server,' apparently, so it's hard to hold only one accountable, but collectively the service was bad. the entrees were acceptable; the french onion soup was good. then to add insult to injury, the queue to pay at the front desk was ten minutes long.
