a small but an awesome place for non veg as well as veggie foodies.. a must go for chicken lovers.. never tasted such awesome chicken in ahmedabad..

i am being a very much foodie for veg & non veg both,always try to explore the new options ,k & f is recently explored option & i must say the food is just awesome that too with very much reasonable rates.

i would say just go & enjoy the great food from the kitchen of k & f.

great food..great taste and delivery is on time.even the location is very convenient.

knife and fork restaurant, recently famous by the name "knf" . this is the restaurant which shocked me about such a delicious food is available at ahmedabad. one of my foodie friend told me about the newly opened restaurant in prahladnagar. generally i dont experiment with my dining options. but i went with this option and i must say i was not disappointed on it.

i met the owners who told me the journey of knf, which was quite interesting.
the menu is well planned covering all the meat and veg items.
we asked for their specialty where they are excellent.
i was amazed to hear all dishes with their description, where all dishes sounded complicated to make.
dishes were offered to try were:
hugwani tangdi (stuffed chicken legs)
tandoori pomfret & tandoori prawns
knf chicken (stuffed breast chicken piece in red tomato gravy)
chicken tangdi masala ( 3 tandoori chicken legs with red gravy)
chinese sizzer

chicken was juicy and mouth melting.
spices were in very well experienced hands.

i must agree on the ratings what are reflected on zomato.
these guys have earned it.

such a good food and specially paneer tikka lababdar ...what a delicious sabji with butter nan ..also knife and fork special sabji is best .. service is also good i really enjoyed that dinner with my family. nice restaurant for veg and also for non veg food...

a lot of small sized family owned restaurants serving really good food are coming up in ahmedabad, knf is one such place. tucked in a corner of the busy prahladnagar, no jazzy signboard or attractive ambiance pulling u, one small shop with seating for arnd 15ppl at one time, thts it.
while we ordered for manchow soup, paneer hariyali tikka, paneer angara, rotis and fish biryani, i gathered tht most of the ppl eating had been there previously and the owner seemed to take the pain to know them as well as how they liked the food.
the service was courteous, warm and efficient, hardly seen at joints this size.
the soup and starters arrive upfront and although machow was like any other manchow the hariyali tikka was succulent a nice lightly burnt flavour on the sides with lots of onions and a nice greeen chutney on the side. then came the fish biryani. nice liberal boneless pieces of delicious fish in a nicely done biryani (was a cross between pulao and biryani) but was delicious. the paneer anagara and rotis were next. the paneer was nice and soft like in the haryali tikka and the gravy was delicious absolutely correct spicy not at all overdone.
we enjoyed the meal thoroughly and for two people the portion size was ridiculously big and had to pack both the paneer and biryani. i have a feeling they will have to move into a bigger space soon.
highly recommended if u r a non vegeterian atleast for biryani i can vouch, will come bck for more atleast take aways.
and the happiest moment was on seeing the bill including taxes. u will b happy too.

great food, great ambience and a very reasonably priced menu together with an very warm owber as host makes this small restaurant my goto place every now and then.

one of the best food joints at ahmedabad! a great taste at a very low price and comforting interiors. love it!

the next time you are at a new joint, consider doing this:


> stop for a minute or two.
> go over to the owner, introduce yourself, and get to know his story, his part of journey of starting the joint.
you'd be surprised to know that there is so much to it then printing menus, getting chefs, looking for a perfect place, and so on. on this particular day, i had the fortune of meeting mr. rahim, the owner of knife & fork @ pralhadnagar. i got to know, first hand, what all happens behind the scenes and how a particular recipe is made with a difference. i know it doesn't really mention this anywhere but the cuisine at k&f is inspired from the afghani cuisine.

i been this restaurant for twice had egg birayani and it was simply awesome.

their corporate food pack lunch scheme as well nice and affordable.

i wish them best of luck for their new venture.

gujaratis are being known as pure vegetarians, and so non veg foodies who are coming to visit this state may not be comfortable with guajarati food.

i personally had this problem when some of my friends who are non gujaratis and also non veg foodie complained me about good quality non veg food is next to impossible to find in ahmedabad.

however on one occasion i took them to knife and fork to remove their doubts and let their mouth be full of meat so they couldn’t complain ;)

located on one of the busiest food street ,this place is for hard core no-veg lovers.

coming to food, what knf offers is in traditional nawabi style. start with starters, go for their tandoori. for chicken, must try items are chicken methi malai, chicken chatpata, chicken moghlai. however, if you are first comer then go for butter chicken and chicken masala. for mutton items must try are mutton palak, mutton kheema and mutton hara masala. the gravy used in preparations of various dishes is of good taste.

coming to biryani, i always love its chicken biryani over mutton or egg. i guess they are specialized in chicken biryani. rice used in preparation of biryani is truly amazing both in smell and taste. i am sure you will thoroughly enjoy your biryani.

ambiance is just nice and staff is always well prepared to handle different types of customers.

the restaurant is very well located plus the ambience is nice and comfortable. unbelivabel prices and amazing food quality.
coming to the most important part the food..

apart from the regular veg items such as rajma masala o paneer buttor masala, non-veg prawns biryani and chicken tandoori is very good, one must try biryani item and awesome soup.

must order food cooked by 5 star hotel's professional chefs.

awesome food, loved paneer chilly dry. and knife & fork special.
