i don't remember it being this sweet. when i last came for supper roughly 4 years ago, i remembered the food tasting very good. but during a recent visit for lunch, my friends and i found that too many of the dishes tasted sweeter than normal.

in the case of theirthaiginger beef, we let the excessive sweetness slide, as it almost worked in favor of the beef. that being said, the beef was borderline candy-beef. half of the table thought this was their favorite dish, while the other half (myself included) voted that this was the weakest. unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the padthai(ours included shrimp). i don't like a sweet padthaiand the flavors just did not work for me.

personally, their masaman curry was a clear winner. firstly because it wasn't sweet (finally), but mostly due to the fact that the taste of peanuts envelops the senses upon consumption. i bid any peanut-lovers to try this particular dish. mixed with rice, i could eat this all day (but not every day - would get boring after a while). by the end of the meal, half of the group placed the masaman curry as their number one choice.

overall, i feel that this lunch was not very strong, and i'm likely to return in the future to make sure that this meal was an anomaly. also, coming at roughly $17 per person, it's more expensive than a typical lunch out.

fantastic food, good service. my go to restaurant in saskatoon for amazingthaifood, their curry's are always fantastic. but the real reason to eat here is the pad thai, i can't get enough of it because it's so good. sometimes it's a bit to moist for me but the flavour makes up for that.

i ordered the tom kha kai soup and the naam sot. the soup was a coconut based with chicken, green onions and fresh mushrooms with your choice of rice or noodles it had that classicthaifunky flavour here. it was good but after i was half done was getting bored of it. the naam sot in fried pork with ginger, lime juice, cucumber, tomato, shallot and lemongrass. it was not what i was expecting but enjoyed it the lime and ginger were the dominant flavours here.

i ordered thethaiginger beef today. the dish had a slight ginger flavour, and a combination of sweet (from the tamarind) and spicy kick to it. i normally don't like green peppers (except on pizza) but the mixture of bell peppers, onion, and carrots in this dish tasted great! the entire dish was delicious but the only downside was that the beef was too crispy (overcooked). but that still didn't stop me from eating thethaiginger beef because i'm always satisfied with the extremely savoury flavours that this restaurant provides.
i also had the super roll as an appetizer. the super roll is a spring roll wrapped inside a cold roll. the spring roll and the sauce made it flavourful but i'm never a fan of a roll loaded with noodles and lettuce; in this case, it was surrounding the spring roll. i love the main dishes at keo's but i don't like ordering the appetizers, not because the flavour but because of the pricing. the spring rolls are so small. 2 bites and you're done- (4) for $6. whereas the super roll is mainly loaded with noodles and lettuce (2) for $7. i can't justify spending my money on tiny rolls or for 2 rolls loaded with noodles. my pet peeve with how the rolls are served is that they give you a plate (for the sauce) that makes it impossible to dip your rolls in. being in the food industry for 20 years, here's a tip- give the customers a little saucer or bowl so they can dip the rolls into the sauce easier.

definitely one of the top 3thaiplaces in the city in my books. i like how their spicy is actually spicy. food can be a little oily and a little sweet.

i've eaten in a few times, but my pictures are from a takeaway. service is usually great in the restaurant. take out is also good, but one time a plastic container was warped (hopefully a defect, and not melted from the curry it was holding).

this place is amazing. if you likethaiand have not been here, big mistake. the food is fresh, the portions are large and the service is excellent. i have had the green and red curries, as well as ginger beef. i do not generally like ginger beef, but i was fantastic. i ordered the food at a "4" spice level which was nice, although i may go with a "5" then next time i am in. anyhow, this is one of the better restaurants in saskatoon, i just wish it was downtown!

this was my first time at keo's. i've heard good things, and it didn't disappoint. thethaiiced tea was on point, had to have two. my partner and i shared the super rolls (salad roll with spring roll in the middle), which were quite good. the crunch of the spring roll in the middle was a welcome addition to the traditional salad roll. i had the dancing prawns (coconut shrimp dish) which was amazing. sooo good. my partner had the crying tiger which he thoroughly enjoyed and our friends both had the cashew chicken. great meal, good service. only thing that would prohibit me from going here on a regular basis is the price, which is a bit steep. only complaint. dexter meyers

not good. we arrived at 8pm as the website said they were open until 9pm. we stood there with our 4 year old for a good ten minutes before i had to call over to the waitress and ask her if we could seat ourselves. she immediately started arguing with me about how long we had been waiting. this young blondish girl said we just came in. this should have been our first tip off.

we got nothing but attitude from her the entire meal. first our softdrinks were watered down and had to be sent back. next our meal was kinda lackluster. the padthaiwas just gooy noodles with bland sauce and no vegeatables. the so called sticky rice i got with my watery curry was only enough for a small child and it was all hard and crunchy. obviously the bottom of the bucket rice. she had the gall to tell me that the rice was exactly what sticky rice is. sorry princess, but you're an idiot. i had to argue with this pretentious "art student" for nearly 20 minutes to get her to take the rice off of our bill. no way i'm paying $4 for a scoop of old hard rice.

if you want to go to an authenticthairestaraunt try siam in victoria bc. by far the bestthaifood in canada. puts a place like this to shame. oh but according to the waitress keo's was rated the best in saskatoon. well, anybody can buy and pay for reviews in newspapers. either that or saskatoon residents have no idea what real asian food is. even if the waitress had been good, the food is pretty abysmal at keo's. i've lived in vancouver/calgary/toronto and more in the past 20 years and this place sucks. the last thing i need to get grief from some irritating stuck up "student". yeah she had to tell every customer about how she's just a poor student in some vain attempt to get tips. pathetic. i was a student for many years princess. this is your choice so suck it up and stop making it everybody else's problem.

went here not too long ago, thought it was time to share my experience. i lovethaifood, the spice, the flavors, the culture... ahh. tried keo's kitchen after alot of people recommended it to me, all saying this place knows how to spice things up. and yes, yes they do. i was almost sweating eating the green curry and i loved every moment of it. speaking of the green curry, it's my go to dish. keo's does a well done job, i had medium spice and it had a nice balance in the curry. i do wish it had a little more coconut flavor but i guess the spice level may change that as well; hard to control.i'm a sucker for iced coffee and keo's did not disappoint with theirs. i didn't find it as sweet as vietnamese coffee, but ive heard various differences between the two. some say they're the same except different coffee beans, some tell me one doesn't use condensed milk (the horror!!) but i personally have no idea and didn't think to ask the server.

ichang. grow some taste buds. for anyone who enjoys traditionalthaifood, especially spiciness (if desired) keos is the place to go. the phad thai, ginger beer, and masaman curry are fantastic. there is no better tasting ginger beef in this city. the same holds true for the phad thai. be sure when one comments to keep an open mind that this is traditionalthaifood. keos rock's!

i'm on the fence about this place, the curry i had was really yummy, a little thinner than i like it was almost a curry broth but the flavour was awesome. on the other hand, i tried some of my friends padthaiand it honestly tasted like it had a bunch of kraft peanut butter mixed in, it wasnt awful but i would never order it again.
