50/50. it's always a crapshoot dropping by here, regardless of time, date, or party size.
place looks clean, with lots of space between tables. it can accommodate large parties, which is a major bonus. even at it's busiest it doesn't get too loud, and you get the sense that this place is all about the food, and less about trying to look good while eating it.
service is hit or miss. i've had impressive service one night only to comebackanother and be ignored. that being said, seating is always prompt.
food is also hit or miss. there are some standout items on the menu, including the lao sausage, and the masaman curry, and there are a few solid choices for the less adventurous, including the pad thai, the spring rolls, and the bird's nest. however, you run the risk of getting a poorly prepared meal from time to time. i've had pad thai that was overloaded with onion, soggy spring rolls, and my wife once ordered a vegetarian pad thai only to find it swimming in pork. it tends to be a gamble.
i've never had a drink here, save for a bottled beer and lots of water. doesn't strike me as the kind of place to have drinks with your dinner.
i'll continue to go back, so long as i get a nice meal more often than not.
