it's a cool place, with cool vibe. but i'd hardly call it 'authentic'. thefoodis good--for a bar-- but not exactly brit. more like decent canadian bar food. wings and burgers. i'm not sure why it's so hard to do, but this city needs a genuinely authentic brit pub experience. i'm talking steak and kidney pie, fry up friday, black pudding, eggs and chips, sunday roasts. oh and curry. some of the best curries in england are in the pubs.

i really like the atmosphere of this place.  it is a great place to meet friends after work, or on the weekend.  i used to go here regularly many years ago, and upon moving back into the area, i have rediscover it.  it does not seem to have changed since i left (a good thing in this case).

thefoodis good as well.  can't say that i always eat when i am here, but whenever i have eaten, it has been good.

very cool old neighborhood pub. thefoodand service have always been good.the atmosphere is that of an old english style pub. because of it's excellent location we always find it a great place to stop and take a break  i recommend the root top patio . fries are really good.

great atmosphere! the had a descent assortment of draft beer and thefoodwas reasonably priced. my date got the shepard's pie and it was really good; normally i don't eat shepard's pie but it was so good i almost stole it from her.

me favourite pub. i love this place! i have always had extremely friendly and polite servers and thefoodhas always been spot on. this is my go to place when i'm in the mood for a laid back meal! i've tried many things on the menu and none of them have disappointed.

a great kensington staple. this is one of the default places for us since the gf and i live in the area. thefoodis always delicious and tastes home cooked and the atmosphere is really laid back. your standard neighbourhood pub that never disappoints.

not one of the cheaper pub options in kensington, but certainly among the most reliable. good atmosphere day or night, service is always good and staff are friendly, and thefoodis always well prepared and plentiful. always steady- so they don't offer any drink orfoodspecials. family-run joint with unpretentious staff. i and up here a lot- it's like a magnet.

expected more. went to kensington pub the other night with a bunch of friends to grab a bite to eat. i had the burger and sweet potato fries. it was nothing special. thin patty and boring toppings. the sweet potato fries were soggy. my friends weren't all that excited about theirfoodeither. the service was non existant. my beer glass remained empty for most of the night. there are a lot of other great places in calgary and i won't spend my money or time at this one again.

i love this pub, probably one of my favourite pubs in calgary. the service is always great and the atmosphere puts it up there in the best... at least in my books.foodis good too!

recently moved from toronto. my husband and i recently moved to calgary we are close to the kensington business area. we tried a few other places in the area and frankly were not impressed. the kensington pub is kind of hidden around the corner, we are certainly happy we found it. we have been in about six times and it has been very good. great pubfoodis the main reason we go the service is usually excellent and the girls are friendly, although at times the girls are chatting around the till and don't get to my husbands empty pint quick enough and he has to flag them down. over all this is our favourite by far even better than the pub it to we used to frequent.

i love this place. if u want good grub , this pub is the place to go, thefoodis at good price and thefoodis great.
it is a small pub and it is crowded but an overall greaat place.

a locals pub. very popular with people who live in the area because of its friendly staff and warm atmosphere. good selection of beers.foodis good basic grub and the special is often a great dish. solid.
