great ambience and not so great food. it is a royal experience taht you pay for! but then taste is not mind blowing. delayedserviceand cold food was served. but the place kept us engaged because you visit a star restaurant and sit in a old house !!! rather use the money to visit kerala and have authentic experience!!! 😐

so if your looking for something a little different with ambience . they have managed to create a comfy outdoor seating to enjoy bangalore pleasant weather . a really friendly team atservicefront . our captain anthony knowing we are residents of banglore put then effort to make it a different experience with his suggestive selling . the food is authentic costal food varies from goan to coorg . so there is a variety . their lunch menu is different from what on line . so make so ask for the a la carte .
can get a lil busy but if your seated out you'll enjoy self .

karavalli offers traditional cuisine of the south western coastal region. it has pleasing ambiance with both indoor and outdoor seating. the outdoor setting is better. we had been there to celebrate a special occasion. booked a reservation and got a perfect place beside the waterfall.

they served us a complimentary rasam at the beginning of our meal which was very tasty and one of the best rasam i have ever had.

the food here is palatable and is served in banana leaf which adds up to the south western coastal experience.
our favorite dish is meen eleittad, the fish is wrapped in a  plantain( serves 2 portions ). the fish was well marinated and tender.

we also loved the fish curry- allapuzha meen curry accompanied by neer dosa and malabar paratha.

at the end of our meal, we got two varieties of paan (beeda).
to make our special day memorable, we got a complimentary cake. the waiters held muthukuda umbrella (traditional decorative umbrella) above us while we cut the cake. thanks to the two waiters vinoth and uday. they were very friendly, well spoken. they truly are a credit to the hotel and they fully epitomize what 5 starserviceis all about. the hospitality was outstanding. convey my compliments to the chef, waiters and the staff.

karavalli is the best place to celebrate any occasion. best known for its cultural food, ambiance and staff.

if you crave for some good coastal cuisine in a quiet and a green place in the heart of the city;this definitely is the place. as soon as you step into karavalli it gives you an instant feeling of being relaxed away from the city hustle irrespective of being in the heart of the city.

the interiors bring back the old world charm with wooden interiors and a huge wall clock.
 the restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating.

we ordered one vegetarian tiffin carrier, catamaran lunch and a sweet dish ( just cant remember the name -  jaggery based kheer ).
sweet dish was the star of the show :) . the food was good but is a little over priced.

worth a visit on special occasions.
staff were very hospitable and theservicewas good.

it was an amazing evening....no words to describe the food and hospitality......the seafood is amazing...have to try the prawns delicacies....yummy....
theserviceis beyond anything.....well its taj.....
tajness is embibed in it.....!!!
would definitely come back here....the ambience and theservicetoo...goood.....

every inch of this place is so true to india. beautiful interiors! i think that's one of the reasons why it is so expensive. the food is world class andserviceis a bit slow. but the staff are very friendly.

right from the setting toserviceto food, everything here was absolutely brilliant. we went for lunch today and had my 5 month son with us. when he got a little fussy, they even offered their office room in case i want to feed him and calm him down. food was among the best i’ve had in bangalore and i loved the setup- open, green, and just perfect for bangalore weather. looking forward to coming back here for a meal again soon!

item i loved the most- prawn ghee roast!!

even after booking a table a week ago foe sunday at 1.30 , they made us wait for 50 mins inside the hotels lobby. the way they handled our booking andserviceis shame. nevertheless will not be visiting this place again nor would i recommend it

karavalli is a restaurant that serves you authentic and best of south indian coastal food. it also has some good options for vegetarians as well. the ambience is worth the sitting, staff is very professional and courteous, and the food delicious. but the only thing that kills all the fun and spirit in dining at the place is it's slowserviceand food preparation time. but it's definitely worth a visit !

had gone to this place with my family for onam sadhya and had a nice time out there. while the food was good, we felt theservicecould have been better. few of the items like the sweet and the pickles were missed out on being served to most of the tables. overall a nice ambience nd a nice fine dining places that i have been to.

i have returned to the karavalli in bangalore time and again to savour the best south indian cuisine.

each dish is so well crafted you can taste the layers of flavour and the succulence of the ingredients.the resam drink which is at once delicately sour and spicy is excellent with the dishes. dessert is a must – try the dodol which is cleverly paired with ice cream.

though a busy restaurant owing to its reputation,serviceis efficient and friendly, never rushed. mr anthony was extremely hospitable and having been with the restaurant throughout his career, knew the portfolio well and made very good recommendations.

the lush greenery around the restaurant is tranquil and rustic. the washrooms are special too!
