easily one of the best sea food in blore. try and grab a meal. nice green surroundings bang on mg road withgoodinternal layout and ambience. i love the king prawns and sukka with appams/neer dosas. there is a little fluctuation and the exec chef needs to work on standardising the consistency of output. invariably they wow but sometimes they lose out. my many experiences encourages to give this feedback to gm and exec chef. the south kanara plus kerala cuisines, flavour and taste in the form of fine dining is a high for me. with u karavalli team and with some stretch, committed execution you may expect to cross the 4.7 avg rating here. go for it and sustain. you have it all. cheers

great ambiencegoodfood and excellent hospitality.

had the catamaran lunch and was made with care and taste was good. excellent ambience and great hospitality enhanced the whole experience.

great food!! honestly, i am not a big fan of this cuisine, but since my husband really likes it , we thought of giving it a shot on and were we pleased!! the food was just amazing...finger licking good...the ambience wasgoodand to top it all the servers were very kind and nice and helpful...a special mention to both binoth and binit for their excellent service...i am really happy with the experience, so happy that we plan to visit again tonight...which would make this twice in a week!! great job!!

if you crave for somegoodcoastal cuisine in a quiet and a green place in the heart of the city;this definitely is the place. as soon as you step into karavalli it gives you an instant feeling of being relaxed away from the city hustle irrespective of being in the heart of the city.

the interiors bring back the old world charm with wooden interiors and a huge wall clock.
 the restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating.

we ordered one vegetarian tiffin carrier, catamaran lunch and a sweet dish ( just cant remember the name -  jaggery based kheer ).
sweet dish was the star of the show :) . the food wasgoodbut is a little over priced.

worth a visit on special occasions.
staff were very hospitable and the service was good.

i had mixed feeling before going for this place. but i was happy to choose this place for my special occasion dinner. the ambience is good, you have open as well as closed dinning area. i went there on weekday so there was not much rush, but if you are going on weekends then a reservation is a must here.

the servers here will help you with the order and portions. we tried prawns ghee roast in the starters, which was the show stopper for us. only thing which worried me was the price for the given portion of prawns.

if you dont like/eat prawns, then you can go for attirachy ularthu which is a lamb dish. it was cooked very beautifully. the lamb pieces were melting in the mouth.

we also order, meen eliettad which was black pomfret steak. it was okay and few bones were present

in the main course, we ordered prawn biryani. this biryani was delicious and portion size was enough for two people. the sour raitha was complimenting it nicely.

in the dessert, we tried chiroti - flaky bread with almond milk. it was loved and ended our meal on a happy note.

our overall dinner experience wasgoodhere and you can visit this place if you are looking for some delicious kerala cuisine.

the ambiance is calm, serene and nice right in the middle of the city. beautiful surroundings, lovely south indian food and courteous staff. antony ( staff) was a kind and warm person who was happy to help with our special requests. overall, a verygoodexperience. plan an evening dinner with your family here.

ambiance, food, service.. anything you can rate a restaurant on.. karavalli will score 5/5. let's start with the ambiance. a quaint little place amidst the hustle bustle of the city. the moment you enter it from residency road, you will feel like the city is left behind and you are in quaint little country home with ethnic decor and soothing music. the old world charm is everywhere. it will transport you to a time when guests were treated royally. everything about this place is so graceful. be it their brass utensils or the chiming grandfather clock.

next comes the food and it goes hand in hand with the service. our food experience was so special because we were guided to choose the right dish and the best combination from the menu by our server vinod. mr. vinod and mr. kiran and their hospitality was the key behind thegoodfood experience. if you are there.. please trust them. they know their food and have 15 years of experience serving guests. next comes chef ram. whose cooking is simply out of this world. we ordered malabar prawn for starter. succulent juicy prawns in a very hot and spicy gravy. simply mouth watering. for main course we ordered kundapur mutton curry with kerala paratha and ghee rice. the mutton curry... i have just no words to describe it. you have to eat it to experience it. the best kerala paratha i have ever tasted. crunchy, flaky, soft and tasty. ghee rice was subtle nad tasty and a perfect combo with the mutton curry. the elaneer payasam was a perfect end to the dinner.

i will definitely go back again and again and again...

thoroughly satisfied with this place. absolutely outstanding. everything was top-notch. the food, ambience, service, everything was absolutely fantastic.

the place has got an indoor as well as outdoor seating area, we made ourselves comfortable outdoors. the seating is in a garden which has a stream running and has a lot of greenery around. brilliant setting it is

for food we first ordered a crab milangu fry, tiger prawns roast and coorg chicken fry. all these dishes tasted out of the world and were fantastic. the crab is cooked in a south indian spicy pepper masala which gives it a scintillating taste. tiger prawns roast has big pieces of tiger prawns roasted in traditional spices, while coorg chicken fry has chunks of boneless chicken cooked in a spicy masala and tastes incredible.

we further ordered a few more starters like camaro con cilantro, kane bezule and chicken ghee roast.
camaro con cilantro is basically spicy prawns which tastes scrumptious. kane bezule is whole lady fish pan cooked in mangalorean spices. tastes delightful. while chicken ghee roast has big chunks of boneless chicken cooked in ghee and spices. you get a strong flavour of ghee and tastes delectable.

for desert we ordered a bebinca and dodol.
both these dishes were unique and i had them for the first time ever.
bebinca has a scoop of ice cream served with jaggery based payasam and a goan style pudding. tastes heavenly.
dodol also has a scoop of ice cream served with a chocolate and jaggery based rice cake. mouthwatering.

service also was top-notch and we were taken extremelygoodcare of by a team comprising of vinoth, sunder and kiran. thanks to these guys for making our evening fun filled and memorable.

good and some quality food.. the prawn ghee roast was very good,neer dosa was soft like sugar candy.
the fish was cooked perfectly .
fish curry half portion is enough for two was simply superb.
although the price are on higher side which need to be looked at

karavalli is a restaurant that serves you authentic and best of south indian coastal food. it also has somegoodoptions for vegetarians as well. the ambience is worth the sitting, staff is very professional and courteous, and the food delicious. but the only thing that kills all the fun and spirit in dining at the place is it's slow service and food preparation time. but it's definitely worth a visit !

i have eaten better, more exquisitely made and flavourful food in restaurants that charged much less than karavalli did for their lunch. sure it's taj and it's supposed to be expensive and great. but it was just expensive.

the crab and chicken were average. the ghee roast prawns were good. i've eaten better made masala vada at my friend's house, to be honest. the drinks were quitegoodand different but not too impressed with the food. yes, it is very expensive and it's taj after all, but not too impressed with the food. really not worth the price.

while the food isgoodand ambience is great, they fail to make up for the lacking standards in service. i'm not sure if it was a one off instance or this is how it always is, our experience was not at all what you would expect from a place like this. the staff was grudgingly courteous, and failed to meet even the most basic hospitality standards.

we visited this place for lunch on saturday. i would recommend to make a reservation if you are visiting on weekends.

the main course was reallygoodand quantity was good. we ordered kori gassi , neer dosa , appam and steam rice for lunch.

the starters were not sogoodas we expected. we ordered prawn ghee roast. it was very very heavy. kaju and kotimbir starter was not so great.

overall agoodexperience. one time visit is fine. due to covid they now have a limited menu. we were looking for patrade and kinnya masala dosa but these items were not on menu due to covid.

overall rating - 4/5.

ordered home the onam sadya from here. mr.mathew was very responsive to our request and had kept the order ready on time for pick up. the sadya was packed very well and had every single dish like in the traditional one right down to the last specific. included fresh plantain leaves too. amazing taste andgoodquantity. a terrific experience

had been here for afternoon lunch, met the stewed person by name anthony, heads up to his service, made us feel home, ordered prawn would rate 3/5 chicken ghee roast 5/5 with a beer made us agoodlunch. slight higher on price
