first disappointing thing since we got to hawaii. my friend had the fish sandwich combo. thefrieswere under cooked and he said it was hard to taste the fish there was so little of it. my wife and i shared the garlic shrimp ($12). it was 7 shrimp on a bed of rice that took over 45 min. my friend was finished with his meal before we saw ours. the staff was very pleasant but their was no apology or concern for our wait!

great dinner!!. read about this place on-line so we went there while on vacation. had dinner there and each of us had a hamburger(cowboy and teriyaki) and potatofriesand they were so good! we also had a shrimp combo and thought we would take it to go but the macadamia and garlic shrimp were so good we ate those too! all the avacado and pineapple were great. best food on the trip so far so we might go back before we leave tuesday.

...the paniolo (cowboy) burger, served withfriesand a salad, with my mom. the burger was topped with grilled pineapple, onion rings, bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, caramelized onions and bbq sauce. this burger was epic. ridiculously delicious and insanely drippy. i actually ended up eating it with a knife and fork (in part because the burger lost some structural integrity when we cut it in half) so that the entire thing didn’t end up in my lap.

we went here yesterday on a recommendation from tim at deep ecology in hale'iwa. it was easy to find (just look for the blue & yellow hand-painted sign). i had the shem's big bad burger without the sauce and bacon. it was delish!!! the guacamole made it a little hard to eat, but it was definitely worth it. i had to cut the burger in half because it was so big. the homefrieswere ridiculously good, too! the service was great and i loved the outdoor dining and laid-back atmosphere. and instead of using table numbers, they have table names. our table name was amazing. i'd say that summed up our visit to kahuku grill perfectly. i will definitely go back!!!

fabulous. amazing burgers. i had the cowboy, my partner had the burger with blue cheese. both were fresh, delicious, and loaded with flavor. house madefrieswith special sauce were equally delicious. and service was tremendous. great spot, too. if you are expecting ordinary, don't bother stopping. only complaint -- need bigger napkins!

excellent burgers andfriesand very affordable. the people were also great. i recommend to anyone on the north shore!

north shore favorite after .... north shore favorite
after spending a month on this side of the north shore, and eating just about everywhere, kahuku grill is my favorite by a landslide. we kept coming back for more.
it's not fast, but it is delicious, friendly and fun. you can tell their beef has never been frozen. the hamburgers are fantastic, and worth the $1 upgrade for avacado. the salad was really fresh. i generally don't like fish but loved the seafood combo with coconut shrimp.
thefriesare more like potato semi-circles but very tasty. if you manage to save room for dessert, get the banana bread, but i liked it better without the ice cream.

seth'sfriesstink!,,,,,. my wife and kids all went to kahuku grill on january 5th for dinner will not be returning. we all ordered different items off the menu. my wife ordered the shrimp they were very fishy maybe not stored well? my boy ordered the cowboy burger and sethfriesthe onions on thefrieshad started to turn they smelt funny and when he tasted thefrieshe said they were awful...this made my wife and i curious and when we took a gander at thefrieswe were done with our meal immediately iffrieswere that screwed up it scared us thinking what might be wrong with the rest of the meal and foo handling skills here.
we will not stop here again.

best f-bomb hamburger i ever ate and i'm from the land of in-&-out! not only that the potatofriesare grubb! staff was wonderful, a must see on the island!

this place was great. my friends and i happend upon it and we loved it. they all ordered the panido burger. they loved every bite. it was big, juicy and resonably priced. thefrieswere spicy and nummy. i ordered the teri chicken plate. it came with a salad and i savored every bite. the teri sauce was sweet and thick. wow. the kahuku grill is a perfect place for an outdoor, relaxing lunch! don't miss it.

awesome!!. my wife and i were on our honeymoon and heard about this little place. the coconut shrimp (their specialty) were amazing. huge portion for good price. the burger was enormous and delicious. the crazyfrieswere recommended by staff...wow!! a whole lotta stuff including cheese, gravy, bacon and a "special" sauce.

kahuku grill-nate howard. this is truley a hidden jewel for the north shore, everything i've had here is amazing from the fish to the burgers. my favorites would have to be the double cheese burger and the coconut shrimp, and thefriesare unbeatable. the environment is laid back and has a beautiful view from the outside lanai. the service is great as well, it is family owned and operated and it is nothing but pure quality.
