this place was great. my friends and i happend upon it and we loved it. they all ordered the panido burger. they loved every bite. it was big, juicy and resonably priced. the fries were spicy and nummy. i ordered the teri chicken plate. it came with a salad and i savored every bite. the teri sauce was sweet and thick. wow. the kahuku grill is a perfect place for an outdoor, relaxing lunch! don't miss it.

best burger on the island. i have tried many. not dry, with great flavor. people have great aloha. give em a shot. you won't be disappointed. world famous shrimp are ono.

we just tried kahuku grill for the first time and we have lived here on and off for 20 yrs. this was the best burger on island. we put this at the top of our list.

got here at 8pm. got our food at 8:40pm. but the food really was amazing. we had the "world famous" macadamia coconut shrimp and a grilled cheeseburger. see pictures. but trust me, i eat out more than i should and this was a special treat. $20 for 2 included 2 meals, a side of fries, and a coke. the only thing i would change is the cheese on the cheese fries. i would love real cheese not nasty store processed cheese. but that's my only minor complaint. i hope to come back here again this week.

what an amazing find! we stumbled across kahuku grill on our way to giovanni's and had to try the burgers. they were so good! the best on the north shore. it is well worth stopping by this little joint.

best food on osland. i have eaten all over oahu my family and i visit all the time and this place has the best food and the best prices on the entire island. its a small family owned and operated place tucked away behind a gas station in a town called kahuku, and it has been the best place we've been too as far as restaurants go. great atmosphere and great service and the mural in their diner is a must see. we will be back! don't miss out on the kahuku grill and their coconut macadamia nut shrimp (only place that has this type of shrimp)
p.s. come hungry because they give you alot of food!

awesome!!. my wife and i were on our honeymoon and heard about this little place. the coconut shrimp (their specialty) were amazing. huge portion for good price. the burger was enormous and delicious. the crazy fries were recommended by staff...wow!! a whole lotta stuff including cheese, gravy, bacon and a "special" sauce.

not so good. we ate there last month, it was under new mgmt, we had ate there before & it was very good, but this trip last month there was terrible. food was good, but the service was terrible. we waited for our food for a long time. told that they ran out of shrimp & we had already paid. so had to settle for one order of shrimp. would not go back and would not recommend to friends. very sad...

excellent food in a down to earth simple setting. if you want great food and don't care about eating with disposable plateware, this is the place. definitely worth the 10 minute drive from the north shore sunset beach area to eat vs one of those mediocre generic beach truck grills that serve bland overpriced sandwiches etc. had the garlic shrimp, very delicious! highly recommended. also, try the chocolate chip banana bread sundae, it's awesome!

food vs service. the food was great. once we got it. amazing how bad service can be.....especially given this economy. our orders i honestly believe were given to the friends of the lovely waitresses (who showed up after we did) we had to ask several times for our food and were always met with a wide eyed "oh!!" response.
the owners of this place should spend some time there. locals would love to have a place to go for a nice casual meal, but if i have to fight to get my food, it's not really worth the night out, is it??

kahuku grill-nate howard. this is truley a hidden jewel for the north shore, everything i've had here is amazing from the fish to the burgers. my favorites would have to be the double cheese burger and the coconut shrimp, and the fries are unbeatable. the environment is laid back and has a beautiful view from the outside lanai. the service is great as well, it is family owned and operated and it is nothing but pure quality.
