kahuku grill

wonderful food. on our week long trip to the north shore, we enjoyed the food at kahuku grill 3 times and all 3 times the food just was wonderful....so fresh and the taste was something that brought us back those 3 times.....wish the trip was longer not only for the beautiful north shore, but so that we could eat some more shrimp.

best f-bomb hamburger i ever ate and i'm from the land of in-&-out! not only that the potato fries are grubb! staff was wonderful, a must see on the island!

yum. there aren't a lot of places to eat in this area, especially at night, but this one is great. it's a real restaurant, well at least not shrimp truck - it has tables and a real washroom (although not the cleanest). the coconut shrimp was amazing! i agree, it wasn't the fastest, but after a day at the beach, what are you in a hurry for? ok, that sounds like a mixed review, but the food was great and service was delightful. i would eat there again. service was exceptionally friendly.

fire in paradise signature burger. have you tried the new fire in paradise burger?? it is insane! if you like you a little spice this will do the trick! it is the perfect combinations of flavor and heat! thank you thank you!

too bad.. ate there for lunch it was really good. but! had dinner twice and both times waited way too long over a half hour both times and both times i ordered the coconut shrimp and both times it was awful. the shrimp was so dry and hard. not happy at all. will not have dinner there any more. lastnight my son went there for dinner and orderd a combo plate, a burger, and a salad. got the salad and the burger but not combo plate. took so long he didn't want to wait another half hour and just left. guest he leaned too.

just 3.5 miles away from turtle bay resort is a small family-run eatery in the kahuku sugar mill called kahuku grill. this is our second year feasting here, and once again it lived up to its growing, favorable reputation.

coconut macadamia nut shrimp to die for. anyone driving along oahu's north shore has plenty of options for eating shrimp. guidebooks debate the relative merits of all the different shrimp trucks that sit along the highway. after stopping at a couple of the trucks and checking out their menus, we ended up a kahuku grill, a small little sit down restaurant in kahuku. were we ever glad we did! the service was friendly, the prices were reasonable, and--most important--the food was fantastic.

more specifically, kahuku grill's coconut-macadamia nut shrimp was the best coconut shrimp we'd ever had. we all agreed. it was delicious. the rest of the meal was equally good. even the rice here was excellent.

the only negative worth mentioning occurred at one of the outdoor tables farthest from restaurant. as we waited for our food to be prepared, we occasionally detected the faint smell of rotting garbage wafting through the air. not cool. after the second time, we changed tables and this was no longer an issue. (even so, kahuku grill, you would do well to resolve this issue.)

all in all, this was one of the most enjoyable meals we experienced during our time on the islands and definitely one of the best values. i highly recommend kahuku grill to anyone out exploring oahu's north shore.

amazing!. loved this place, the coconut shrimp was so good and i don't even like shrimp! the teriyaki chicken was amazing, and the burgers are the best i have ever had, i'm from utah but will def be going back here everytime i am in hawaii!

best burgers on the north shore. i came to the north shore for the surf competition at sunset beach. i stopped and ask a blonde young man where the best place toe at was and he said kahuku grill had the best burgers on the island. simply put, he was right. the portions are big and tasty. i now try to find any excuse to go to the north shore so i can eat at kahuku grill

very best food we had!. we stumbled upon this on our first day in hawaii. the food was soooo good that we had to get it again on our last day even though we were running late to the airport! we have talked about them many times since wishing we had a burger that could even come close back home. we only tried the burgers, but they are to die for. i got the cowboy burger with pineapple and bacon. yummmm!!!

this place really knows how to make a burger! it was delicious. i am from texas so i know my way around a great burger and they nailed it! everything was perfect. i normally don't like onions on my burger but i thought i would try it and the combination od the sauce and onions was a good mix! definitely go here when you are in hawaii i would go back just for another burger!

really good and fresh!. we found this place on urban spoon. the burgers were big and the meat was fresh. i had the coconut macadamia nut shrimp which came with a great salad and bed of rice...wow, more than enough food. everyone else loved the spicy, seasoned steak fries. family-owned and super friendly. must try.

burgers were great.. i had the guacamole bacon cheeseburger and my hubby had just a regular cheeseburger. we were not a fan of the fries...wayyy to salty. couldve just eaten the burger alone.. good size. the wait was a little bit longer than what i was hoping for, but that's alright.
