good food - some items overpriced - bad service. i ordered the grandma-style hot milk chocolate which was great - very rich, creamy, and well worth the five bucks or so that it cost. i also got some sort ofbrowniewith chocolate cake chuncks and the salty caramel topping (amazing!) - which i considered a pretty good deal because thebrowniewas a good size and incredibly delicious. my boyfriend ordered a milkshake (white chocolate) which basically tasted like a plain vanilla milkshake - for almost $7.00, it wasn't worth it. service wasn't great - the hostess was pleasant and helpful but our actual server never came back to give us our bill so we had to go up to the front and ask. overall, i'd recommend the affordable and delish browines - i don't think the other items are quite up to par for what they cost.

sweet disposition. the name caught me immediately. my name next to my addiction. i am a true chocoholic and was excited to sit on the patio in the sun easter weekend and let juliette step in for the easter bunny and give me my fix.

i ordered the chocolate medley (juliette's intensebrownieand a scoop of vanilla ice cream served with a melted chocolate sauce) $7.75. it was good, but i wanted more. is that necessarily a negative? perhaps an opportunity to relapse? yes and no. for a specialty dessert shop, i was expecting more of an over indulgence or sugar overdose if you will. as my brother's and mum's crepes arrived, i realized you needed to turn to the flip side for that.

over all everything was delicious and service was very friendly and accommodating; adding chairs to make room on the patio and bridging gaps in the language barrier. worth the extra 12 steps...or more from rue sainte-catherine to pull up a seat at the chocolate bar.

good food, long wait!!!. we went here for dessert. the service in the beginning was fine. we were seated quickly on the terrace which was nice. the waitress brought us our water and took our order at a reasonable time. the food was good and came at the right time as well.thebrownieis great, the espresso tastes great too.

after our dessert, we ended up sitting waiting for a long period of time. we noticed the same with many people around us. it came to the point where multiple groups were getting up and going to the cash themselves to pay and leave. we remained hoping that the waitress would return soon. we turned out to be wrong. i got up and went to the cash to demand my bill and pay so i can leave. if we didn't do this we would have been late to our next appointment.

good food, but the service seriously needs work. i noticed only two waitresses..... it is very necessary to hire more waitresses, especially at dinner time!!!

rude. chocolatebrowniewas so-so, supermarket bakery makes better ones at half the price. left the tip on the table and got up to pay at the till and the waitress, who hadnt seen the tip, reminded us to pay the tip. and then a second tip was demanded at the cash. joke of a place. avoid.

this cute cafe is a safe haven for chocoholics and anyone with a sweet tooth. its lovely interior, friendly staff and delicious treats round up studious students, sickeningly sweet couples and chatty friends from all over town. my companion indulged in the intense brownie, and it was an intense brownie. it's highly concentrated and extremely rich, dense but moist, and sweet but with a hint of saltiness. casually drizzled with chocolate ganache and served warm, it's almost impossible to eat without a tall glass of milk or unsweetened coffee to cut through the complexity of its composition. this modestly sized square packs a really big punch, no wonder it's one of the most popular items on the menu. i had the medley - basically a jazzed up intense brownie. it's a blissful combination of all things good in the world, chocolate, ice cream and more chocolate. the intensebrownieserves as a base for a

oh wow, where to start? exceptional and decadent is not even enough to describe their chocolat. it's to die for. simply amazing. the best chocolate milk ive ever had. took the classic "au lait" chocolate milk and thebrowniewith ice cream and hot, melted fudge...oh man i was so full, but i just had to finish everything i ordered because it was way too good. the parisian hats that the staff is wearing adds to the charm of this sweet place, as do the ceramic drinking bowls and overall decor and ambiance. definitely rcommend the one on laurier....p.s: service was awesome. go....now!

passed on the service, but got the brownie. i read the reviews here and wanted to go. i passed on being waited on and went straight to the counter for the l'intense- dark chocolate brownie. thebrownieis thick and rich and not too sweet. it was okay. i always judge my experience by asking myself... do i want to go back and/or do i want another one....and the answer was no...

brownie mush with shitty service. this place has probably the worse service i have ever experienced in montreal, and that is saying a lot as service here is almost non-existent at most places.

so my girlfriend and i were seated pretty promptly and has ample time to read the menu. we placed our order and waited for at least 20-30 minutes which is a long time for 2 glasses of milk and 2 brownies. when it finally got to our table i took a bite of my cranberry pistachiobrownieand it was basically super duper mooshy and under-baked. its like eating browning batter. so i asked my server if he could give me another piece that was actually baked properly. my friend i waited for another 20 minutes until another waiter noticed we were just sitting there staring into space. she comes up to us and says "is there something wrong?" and i told her i sent back mybrownieand just never got anything back. as i was telling this to her, the waiter who i originally sent thebrownieback with just stared and turned and walked away. only then, did they start reheating another one.

the worse part is, the secondbrowniewas exactly the same mooshy consistency as the last one. so i just ate the parts that were actually cooked. i was tempted to not pay for it, but i honestly just wanted to leave asap so we paid and left.

it was a shitty end to a nice evening out.

browniesbrowniesbrowniesbrowniesbrownies. mmm. was just traveling from toronto and found this awesome place. nice atmosphere and brownies to die for (see: title). loved the medley - awesome intensebrownie+ vanilla ice cream combo with hot chocolate on the side to drizzle all over it. was so stoked about it that i went back the next day for more! (didn't like the trifle as much though... but i highly recommend the medley or just a lone brownie!)
