this place has the best cheesecake i have ever had. it is light, but full of flavor and melts in your mouth! i am going back again before i leave montreal. the service is a bit slow but it was so busy inside so it made sense.

worst service ever!!! 40 minutes go by and we didn't even get our drinks. people who came much after got their food before us. our waitress didn't even punch in our order but did nothing to compensate (discount or free food/beverages) when we finally got our food it was quite dissatisfying and lacked fruit (got the strawberry chocolate crepe.. sans strawberries apparently) oh they also gave us dirty cutlery. worst experience because they did not do anything for a mistake they made.

not great. i have been to juliette et chocolat a couple of times, mainly when it first opened in montreal a while back. every time i go i seem to have the same issues:

1. orders take a long time to come out. i always find myself waiting, whether we are a large or small group.

2. the food is not exceptional. just average i would say.

3. it feels like a chain. it is trying hard to blend into the zeitgeist of montreal's unique cafes and terraces, but it isn't. it uses cheap finishes and bad decor that are a far cry from the warm ambiance that is truly a unique montreal joint.

i avoid going to these restaurants and am really surprised that they are getting such great reviews. i will try again seeing these reviews, perhaps they have changed in the couple of years i haven't stepped into one.

any chocolate lovers will not be able to resist the temptation from juliette et chocolat. they have a wide selection of chocolate goodies, from hot chocolate, chocolate alcoholic beverages, crepes and brownies.

delicious, but a bit overpriced.. atmosphere was calm and very "french". extensive chocolate menu. the brownies are amazing. service was a little slow, and it wasn't clear whether we should have taken the bill up to the front or wait for our waitress to deliver it.

just say no.. everyone raves about this place, but i've gone 3 times (once out of my own volition--the other two with family), and have been disappointed/disgusted each time:

-the fondu sucks. they don't serve quality chocolate, the fruits were old. major yuck.

-the food is ridiculously overpriced.

-the coffee sucks.

never going back.

dessert lover's heaven. for those of you from ontario, juliette et chocolat is similar to demetre's but infinitely better!

there are so many choices from sweet desserts (e.g. ice cream, fondue, etc.) to savoury crêpes.

i can say nothing negative about this place. every montreal trip consists of going to juliette et chocolat on multiple occasions in hopes of trying everything on the menu.

amazing. the person who thought of this restaurant/dessert-stop was genius. this place is the answer to all your cravings. it's extremely difficult to order only one thing off the menu. it has a very french from france vibe. most of their staff speak proper french and the decor and outfits give it a very european feel.

great food, terrible service. the brownies are incredible and so are the sundaes, but the service is atrocious. i always leave there pissed off because of how incompetent the waiter was. but, i always go back.

delicious! but.... i love going to this place! the peanut butter hot chocolate drink is definetely a must if you're a peanut lover :)
my girlfriend and i often go to that place after a long day at school/work. their prices are the only thing i think are unfair, some of them are way too expensive, especially for the portion they serve you. the service is good, but some waitresses seem kinda snobby. there's almost always a line to go in (at the one near berri uqam), since the place is so small.
