we visited on the early side of dinner, two of us and our rather active 20 month old. the staff was immediately welcoming, and the owner stopped by to say hi.greatatmosphere. our appetizers were excellent. my meal was good, my wife loved hers, the deserts were great. based on our experience i would highly recommend and visit again.

i love this place!. the first thing you'll probably notice is the atmosphere when you walk in the door. jones is full of it. this is a excellent restaurant downtown in central philly on the corner of chestnut and s.

jones consists of a large dining room that is on the left of the front door when you enter. straight ahead is the bar and there's another smaller dining area upstairs.

the food? it's really good food! they serve quick meals like soups and sandwiches or larger entrees like crab cakes, chili, pasta's, etc. the menu is very well rounded and even the most finicky person should be able to find something they like. they also serve brunch on sundays.

like many other places downtown you need to watch the mixed drinks here as they can skyrocket your bill quickly. however jones does not serve a weak drink in my experiences there.

jones has agreatfriendly staff and i have always receivedgreatcustomer service during my visits. it's refreshing to visit a establishment and run into the same wait staff time and time again. they must be taking care of their employee's and it shows in they level of service provided.

give them a try if you're downtown. it's about 2 blocks from the liberty bell.

go to place when in philly for landmark! awesome atmosphere, relaxing and casual, yet stylish.greatstaff. tons of excellence food options- dint forget dessert! :)

you can never go wrong with this place! there is agreatvariety on the menu for everyone to find something they love. the food is good and decently priced. i love to go especially for brunch but make sure to make reservations to skip the wait. also, whatever you do--you must try their tater tots!

had the chicken parmesan for dinner here, nothing special at all. there was no seasonings and the sauce tasted like it was poured from the can, straight onto the chicken. adult old fashioned milk shake was delicious and never had anything like it before but the food definitely a let down here. our waitress gave us horrible service, very snotty. there's plenty ofgreateats around philly, dont waste your time on here. these reviews must be from the tipsy customers at the bar who ordered food...

went for lunch & got the turkey burger, which was awful!! tasted like a pre-formed, processed meat patty that was probably frozen, not fresh & they topped it off with salty processed turkey bacon. i'm really confused as to how this place hasgreatreviews & ratings, unless dinner is the time to go? seems like a tourist trap. over-priced & processed turkey burger

nice family restaurant. jones restaurant is agreatplace to take families for a prompt lunch if you're in downtown philly. we were there for lunch on a saturday and the seating was prompt. the waitress was also reasonably attentive. the matzo soup and cobb salad were well prepared, and the grilled cheese sandwich was really good. a cheerful concurrent birthday celebration was going on at the time - lending a friendly community feel to the place - quite in keeping with its location about 1 block west of independence national park, at 700 chestnut. and the nice artwork and very high ceilings gave a cheerful and memorable feel to the place. furthermore, the cost for two for lunch including nonalcoholic beverages and the tip was moderate - at about $40.00.

the food was awesome! they over cooked my steak but caught it before they served it and gave us a free round of drinks. that being said, my meat and potatoes dish was cooked perfect! my companions chicken tandoori and roast beef was also perfect! so good!!! it wadsgreatnight and i totally recommend

gazpacho, perfectly seared tuna, and summer ale, sudden philadelphia in july dosent feel so warm.greatmeal and really cool ambiance, i'll definetly be back the next time i'm in philly!

classy setting, good food. i could not resist the a-l-t—avocado, lettuce, and tomato—which was agreatsandwich. my brunch companion stuck to classic french toast, which was also approved. and the raspberry lemonade was refreshing and not too sweet. the restaurant is well-decorated, the restrooms individual rooms, well appointed. service was great—only being in the city for a day, we considered going back for a late afternoon meal, but the kitchen was closed between lunch and dinner. so off to our next stop!

jones is a one-of-a-kind-shag-rug-brady-bunch style restaurant with good food andgreatservice. the atmosphere is cool and jones knows it. take a look at the futuristic lights or the superbly clean bathrooms. enjoy your one on one or group meal in a super rad environment. it's awesome.

fantabulous!. had agreatdinner withgreatfriends there! i sampled everyone's dish... and all were great. we had the calamari, periogies, wedge salad, pot roast, and pistachio crusted tilapia. all were delicious. we also had chocolate cake (served with milk), apple pie, and bread pudding. to top it all off.. the service was fabulous. i now have a newgreatplace to eat in philly!
