first attempt didnt have a reservation, didn't get in. second time made reser ation and still waited for a bit. the place has not invested in nice tables and chairs. looks like a dump but look pass all that and prepare for an awesome meal. got the large spencer steak and it was wonderful. so much food and good price. i loved it!

best steak ever!!. seriously. tender ribeye (my choice of cut, they have others too) and all the fixings for about $30. can't beat it! it's also fun to go out to the back and see where they grill the meat. jocko's also has other entrees like sausages, chicken, pork, etc., but you're really missing out if you don't order their steak. also, plan on waiting, but call ahead for reservations to help cut the waiting time.

the ribeye (spenser) is the best in the area. plan on waiting, this place is packed like cattle on weekend nights.

awful. this was the worst steakhouse i have been at. i take that back, it is the worst restaurant i have been at. terrible ambience. they think size of portions is the only thing that matters. after eating all i could get down i looked at my plate and it seemed like i had not eaten anything! the waitress was very surprise we did not want a doggie bag. i just have absolutely no idea why this place is so popular.

weird but good. was in town for work and everyone said follow the smoke to jacko's. had a 6:30 reservation that was not seated till 7:30. the food was good but not great. not sure it was worth the wait but it was better than other choices in the area. was good price for what we got though. don't understand the fascination though with this place.

awesome steaks, great sides (relish dish, beans, baked potato) and wonderful ambiance. highly recommend the spencer and new york. cowboy cut, if you dare. my favorite steakhouse in california.

funky but awesome steaks. everything about this place is a trip and is actually pretty funny. but the steaks are some of the best ever. order the spencer! sides are far below average, and if you make reservations, prepare to wait up to an extra hour after you come in. but overall, well worth the wait. homely waitresses in their big ole '50's dresses, the odd locals (all pretty friendly), make for an experience like no other. and again, amazing steaks!

really very good.... we have been having lunch or dinner here since 1966, anytime we pass within 50 miles. the far western in guadalupe used to be at least as good, but not so any longer. keep it up jocko's, your steaks are the best anywhere on the central coast. also a bar which is just that, a bar, not a cocktail lounge! the pride of nipomo...

jocko's steaks. by far the best steak house on the central coast, if you want good food go here! if you want atmosphere go somewhere else! i highly recommend this - order a large spence steak and pork chops - each person gets a chop and a half a steak! still the best steaks for over 40 years!!!!!

good steaks on oak wood are the only thing going here. the wait is always over an hour. atmosphere is caffateria style seating. elbow to elbow

steaks are good. seafood nasty. horrible service especially if you not local and do not know any one there. dirty restaurant

best steakhouse!!. we had reservations, but still waited 45 minutes - that was upsetting, the server appeared very tired, not to friendly... but then we got our dinner... absolutely the best steak i've ever had... well worth the wait!!! i will make it a point to visit everytime i'm in nipomo!

not a fan. rude staff, long wait and horrible atmosphere. plus pricey. i live in the area and choose the other steakhouses rather than give my money to folks who don't seem to care if i come or not. there's always a wit so i guess they don't need my business.
