great little place to get fast hibachi. the steak is always good. i normally get the steak plate with veggies and rice. they have yum yumsauceon the tables (a mayonnaise based sauce) and you can ask for the ginger sauce. both are great. they have lunch size portions also. the rice is a bit bland. i might try the noodles next time. but the rest is good. it has a little outdoor area so you can enjoy the outdoors also. the outdoor area is covered so it's always in the shade, but it is on kings so traffic can be a little loud on busy days.

great food, and they deliver!. i have driven past this place several times and even read the great reviews here on urbanspoon and other sites. i was a bit turned off by the outside appearance of the restaurant and never tried it. well... we didn't have time to go out for dinner this evening, but we really wanted hibachi and this seemed like a good option. we were very happy with the results. my husband and i both tried the pick three meat dinner options. we ordered filet, shrimp, and teriyaki chicken. it also came with fried rice and grilled vegetables (broccoli, onions, and squash). the filet lived up to the top quality standards they describe. perfectly cooked, tender and juicy. the shrimp were great and even better dipped in the seafoodsaucethey give you (don't worry about ordering the bottle of thesauceyour meal comes with plenty). the chicken was good, but next time i think i would go with just steak and shrimp. it was not as good as those two options.
we also ordered the crazy roll. again, very good. top quality ingredients and it arrived perfectly fresh along with our dinners.
two negatives - the roll was 6 pieces for $7.50. i expected 8 or so. the rice is very simple. literally fried, nothing in it. it was fine, but i prefer there to be a bit more flavor in my fried rice.
overall, a great meal. very fast delivery. it got here in less than 30 minutes. the dinners were fabulous and very affordable. i will be eating here more often.

delicious. i vacation to myrtle beach every year and always have to stop by jimmyz at least 3 times during the week that we're down. this time i ventured out of the norm and ordered a sushi roll. i normally don't like the way that sushi tastes, but this volcano roll was awesome! maybe that andrew guy just got a bad batch. i'm no expert, but i do think that thesaucethat is put on the food is a mayo based sauce, not a ginger sauce; but he is the food critic that only likes 30% of the places he goes. regardless, this is best express hibachi that i've ever had, and coming from the atlanta area there is no place like it, so to all the locals, i am extremely jealous!

dirt and disgusting. their tuna roll was inconsistent with the tuna throughout the rolls and the volcano roll was a sick mess. it didn't even look like the pieces were rolled correctly but instead the rice would have been smushed around the ingredients and drowned with ginger sauce. the hibachi bowls of rice and noodles were bland and dry. instead of cooking the meats with thesaucethey added the sauces to the meats after they cooked in the bowl. they try to overcompensate for the horrible food by serving everything with a huge amount of ginger sauce. there was food and filth covering the tables and floors both inside and outside. i will never recommend this place to anyone. find yourself a traditional japense restaurant with a legit sushi bar with fresh cuts of fish and chefs that have the culinary experience to cook an amazing array of food, which definitely is not this place.

would not recommend. food was so-so. the real turn off was the greasy soysaucebottles and whitesaucebottles. of course we discovered this when we sat down after we ordered at the counter and had paid. urbanspoon hasn't steered us wrong until this one. never again.

great food and so much of it!. we were looking for a place where we could get japanese food at a decent price...the steakhouses charge so much and we didn't want the show...jimmy was fabulous! so much food that we brought half home for lunch. not greasy at all and the chicken was very tender. the shrimpsauceis amazing too, great choice.

not the best, not the worst. i can say good and not-so-good things about jimmyz. first, this would not be my first choice for dine-in japanese. however, this is about the only decent choice for drive-thru japanese. but, because everything is so fresh and cooked to order, that means that you will sit in your car and wait and wait and wait. i'll just have to make sure i call ahead next time and then go pick it up. we are hooked on the veggie bowls. have tried the chicken, steak, and shrimp, and they are all great. i was surprised at how tender the steak was. i don't know what that other reviewer ordered when they posted about the grease, but i would not use the word "greasy" to describe anything i've ever eaten here. at other places, i have to use soysauceor teriakisauceto make my food more palatable, but i don't have to add anything to the food from jimmyz. the price is good too. a veggie bowl is less than $6 before tax. we get food here about twice a month now, and it's always packed.

are you kidding me? these reviews must be written by friends and relatives of the owner. this food was nothing like any japanese food i have ever had. japanese is my favorite food btw. it was a huge portion of extremely greasy, i mean swimming in grease, noodles, garlic, meat and onions. those ingredients can be formulated into a good meal, but this was not good. not tasty and just plain gross. came with a side of mayonnaise basedsaucein case there wasn't enough grease for ya.
