terrible. went today from out of town seen add on tv how good it is was very disappointed the food really sucked will not recommend or ever go back

this is a great place to eat delicious japanese without paying the big bucks! the food is delicious, the staff is always friendly, and the atmosphere is laid back. i never take a trip to myrtle beach without stopping in to jimmyz!

my brother and i love this place! best japanese in myrtle beach! we tried to go a few weeks ago, but they were closed that day for construction! can't wait to go when i'm down there in a few weeks!

only gave 4 stars because they had no tuna, hence no sushi....that was the only reason we came.  they other food was good and plentiful for what you pay.....

great little place to get fast hibachi. the steak is always good. i normally get the steak plate with veggies and rice. they have yum yum sauce on the tables (a mayonnaise based sauce) and you can ask for the ginger sauce. both are great. they have lunch size portions also. the rice is a bit bland. i might try the noodles next time. but the rest is good. it has a little outdoor area so you can enjoy the outdoors also. the outdoor area is covered so it's always in the shade, but it is on kings so traffic can be a little loud on busy days.

service was great. my food was out very fast. the prices were decent. my food did however seem very dry. that would be my only complaint. i might return in the future

jimmyz is quite good. this is another place that is really good and ultra affordable. this is another place where you can go and it won't break the bank.

you order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. great quality japanese food for fast food prices. fried rice isn't the best, lacks flavor, but is amazing with the sauce. staff is hard working and friendly. dinner plates give you a lot of seafood options that are great but super cheap. huge portions. highly recommend for a cheap dinner night for the family

best japanese flavor, period.. i love coming to myrtle beach, but am always scared of dropping good money on a lackluster meal. i read the reviews of jimmyz on urbanspoon and decided to roll the dice. i also liked the selection of fish available for hibachi style. i was astounded by the flavor, presentation and portion size. the service was outstanding and kid friendly. i got the kicking shrimp and hibachi tuna combination which was just under $14. absolutely awesome flavor, cooked to perfection and each component on the plate carried a distinct rich flavor. the sauces were obviously house made and very tasty. i also liked the small bistro, cosy atmosphere. hands down the best tasting japanese i have had to date, to include many expensive japanese steakhouses. will definitely be returning for lunch before we leave town. give this place a try for a good affordable family meal.

don't judge this place by the outside fast food looking building.

great food, and they deliver!. i have driven past this place several times and even read the great reviews here on urbanspoon and other sites. i was a bit turned off by the outside appearance of the restaurant and never tried it. well... we didn't have time to go out for dinner this evening, but we really wanted hibachi and this seemed like a good option. we were very happy with the results. my husband and i both tried the pick three meat dinner options. we ordered filet, shrimp, and teriyaki chicken. it also came with fried rice and grilled vegetables (broccoli, onions, and squash). the filet lived up to the top quality standards they describe. perfectly cooked, tender and juicy. the shrimp were great and even better dipped in the seafood sauce they give you (don't worry about ordering the bottle of the sauce your meal comes with plenty). the chicken was good, but next time i think i would go with just steak and shrimp. it was not as good as those two options.
we also ordered the crazy roll. again, very good. top quality ingredients and it arrived perfectly fresh along with our dinners.
two negatives - the roll was 6 pieces for $7.50. i expected 8 or so. the rice is very simple. literally fried, nothing in it. it was fine, but i prefer there to be a bit more flavor in my fried rice.
overall, a great meal. very fast delivery. it got here in less than 30 minutes. the dinners were fabulous and very affordable. i will be eating here more often.

best hibachi on the beach. my go to place for something quick and delicious. there needs to be a jimmy's in every city.

must have. i am from southeast alabama, and have family that lives here in myrtle beach! every visit, i have to eat jimmy'z at least once! tonight i introduced my boyfriend to jimmy'z and he has given this a thumbs up! this is his first time to myrtle beach, and i am trying to take him places that you cannot get just anywhere! this is a must have for any and everyone!
